Night settled over the busy city.
"I'm so stuffed," Hestia said, patting her belly with a satisfied grin as she walked next to August. She had already pushed the wild, bloody events of Orario out of her mind.
"Honestly, August, your world has so much great food," she said, looking at the bright neon signs. "There are tasty street snacks everywhere. And it's so peaceful here—it really shows how far people have co."
The streets buzzed with all the things modern life brings. For Hestia, the order and daily warmth of this ti felt especially comforting. She knew this prosperity had been built by human hands alone. Compared to the human-centric societies she observed in other fantasy nations, the contrast here was staggering.
While Hestia talked, August watched the busy streets. Office workers rushed ho, vendors called out to custors, and kids pulled their parents along.
He felt distant from it all. He couldn't enjoy these everyday monts as she could.
Still, hearing her praise his world made him want to pause and cherish the peace, even if only for a mont.
'I'm still in my twenties. What am I doing acting all deep and philosophical?'
He wondered if sothing was wrong with his head. Compared to Hestia, who had lived for billions of years, he was practically a newborn. If he wanted to get philosophical, he might want to wait a few hundred years.
"Maybe..." August said with a small smile as he kept walking.
Just as the mortal and the Goddess reached a crosswalk—
DING.
August suddenly stopped walking. He had just heard a clear, important notification sound in his head.
"What's wrong?" Hestia asked, pausing a few steps ahead. "Why did you stop?"
"The Portal just reacted..." August murmured.
"LET'S GO." As soon as she heard his cheat ability had activated, Hestia didn't wait.
Ignoring the looks from people passing by, she grabbed his arm, and they both disappeared from the street.

In the blink of an eye, they materialized back inside their apartnt living room.
August raised his hand, and the shimring outline of the Dinsional Portal appeared. As he looked into it, he felt a strange connection, as if he were standing in the middle of the universe, watching a glowing thread reach out to so faraway place.
"It locked onto a new world," August announced, surprised.
He hadn't thought the Portal would connect to a new world so fast. Now, all he had to do was open the doors and step into a whole new reality.
If he rembered right, the Portal used to need a long cooldown before it could make a new connection.
"It seems getting your Falna unlocked sothing in the Portal. Now it connects much faster." He'd only had this cheat for two weeks, but it was already opening up new places.
"What kind of world is it?" Hestia asked, peering into the gateway. She could not see through the dinsional veil, but her curiosity was fully stirred.
"It looks like an ordinary modern world," August replied, studying the feedback.
The Portal gave him a visual anchor, like a photograph. If he was right, the picture showed the main character's face.
'Who is that?' August thought, trying to rember where he'd seen that face before.
The only reason he imdiately recognized Hestia on his first jump was because her divine aura directly broadcast her true identity into his mind. That was the clear difference between a mortal and a god.
This new world didn't give him a na—it just gave him a picture. But those thick eyebrows were a clear clue. With all his ani knowledge, only one character matched.
"Oh, right. I think her na is Tsumugi Kotobuki," August concluded. "From K-On!"
Traveling the multiverse wasn't as easy as spotting 2D drawings. These were real people with three-dinsional features. Without unique traits or colors, it was hard to tell who was who at first glance.
"K-On!?" Hestia's mouth fell open. She stared at August in shock. "Why is it another girl??"
It hadn't even been a full day, and August had already t Liliruca Arde, a major supporting character who basically threw herself at him. Now, this ridiculous portal was setting him up with another main girl?
"Why do I feel like I'm about to get NTR'd again?" Hestia muttered, a dark aura bubbling up around her.
It felt as though the Portal itself was playing wingman, tossing heroine after heroine at her precious child. She had finally managed to bring an incredible, devoted boy into her Familia. Was he really going to be stolen away already?
She had worked so hard, playing the fool and even outwitting that idiot Loki just to keep him safe. Yet here was this damn Dinsional Portal, opening a gateway specifically to bring another girl into his life to cuck her!!
"YOU KNOW WHAT? I SHOULD JUST SMASH IT!" Hestia growled, grinding her teeth.
A dark, obsessive glint flashed in her eyes. She wanted to snatch the crowbar from the toolbox and smash the glowing portal to pieces. If she destroyed it, she and August would be stranded on Earth together forever, with no one and nothing left to co between them.
Sensing the lethal yandere energy radiating from Hestia, August panicked.
"Whoa, stop! Don't do it!" August quickly grabbed Hestia around the waist and pulled her back.
If he didn't hold her back, she was definitely going to smash his only cheat with a crowbar.
