The Adventurer's Guild.

"Hah? What did you say? Thousands of monsters?"

Misha Flott listened to the Hestia Familia's Captain and his Supporter, feeling like she was hearing a story that made no sense.

"Wait a minute. You're saying the Dungeon intentionally ford a legion—thousands of monsters—just to ambush August?"

"August, this is..." Misha thought the whole thing was unreal. What did they an by 'targeted'? Thousands of monsters could change everything on the surface. Now she was being told the Dungeon itself had sent an army just for him?

"Here's the proof. I recorded it," August said, casually handing a tablet to Misha.

The drone's high-definition aerial footage began to play on the screen. Eina Tulle and several other Guild advisors quickly gathered around to watch. The suffocating sea of monsters charging wildly at August was terrifying to witness, even through a screen.

"Eleventh-floor Hard Armoreds."

"Twelfth-floor Silverbacks."

"Multiple rare Infant Dragons from the Upper Floors."

"And... Hellhounds from the Middle Floors??"

Misha swallowed hard. She watched as monsters fell in front of August, one after another. He defeated everything in his way with total force. The nonstop attacks were shocking to see.

"This is your battle record?" Misha stared at him in disbelief. "ARE YOU REALLY A LEVEL 1?"

She couldn't believe it. If he really beat all those monsters by himself, his strength was far beyond a normal Level 1. Was he hiding his real level? Was he even a rookie at all?

Sitting beside August, Hestia crossed her arms and lifted her chin proudly.

"As expected of my child. To be targeted by the Dungeon itself!"

"Hmph. That petty Labyrinth got jealous of my child's talent and sent an army after him. But it must be furious now. It tried to beat him with numbers, but still lost!" Hestia mocked the Dungeon. How could that big hole in the ground try to ss with her Familia?

Lili imdiately chid in, laying the flattery on thick.

"Exactly! August has been targeted by the Dungeon since his debut. And yet, he slaughtered them all effortlessly. Who else in Orario could do such a thing? A genius who doesn't attract envy isn't a true genius!" Lili clapped her hands, hyping him up.

Hestia agreed completely. Of course! If the Dungeon didn't envy her child, sothing was wrong!

"No, no, no! Only August could do this!" Misha waved her hands, sweating bullets. If this idea caught on, the other Gods in Orario would go crazy. If being a good Adventurer ant making the Dungeon jealous, the job would beco impossible! Please don't ruin the Adventurer profession!

"Jokes aside, this is a serious problem. No one knows if Middle Floor monsters will keep showing up on the eleventh and twelfth floors. This is a big danger for lower-level Adventurers," Hephaestus said, bringing everyone back to reality.

If new Adventurers ran into Hellhounds and got hit by magic, there would be a lot more deaths. The deeper you went, the more dangerous it got. The Guild had to start an investigation right away.

"Understood. I'll write up the investigation request right now," Misha said, nodding. This was a strange event. They needed stronger Adventurers to check the floors. Misha rushed off to handle the paperwork.

Watching her leave, August turned his attention back to the front desk.

"By the way, the Hestia Familia would like to register two new mbers," August announced. He had already discussed this with Hestia—they needed to get Yui and Ui Hirasawa officially registered.

"Oh, right! We got two new kids!" Hestia nodded.

Since August still wasn't great at writing the local Koine language yet, Hestia waved to the Half-Elf at the counter. "Eina, can you help us with the registration forms?"

"Right away," Eina Tulle replied, stepping over. She was surprised that the Hestia Familia was already expanding.

Hephaestus, however, froze.

"Wait a minute. Hestia, when did you get new mbers? WHY DON'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS?"

Hephaestus glared at Hestia, feeling betrayed. When did she get two new kids without telling her? Hestia usually didn't recruit locals, so where did these girls co from?

'Don't tell ...'

Hephaestus figured it out. August's dinsional ability must have found a new world. Hestia and August had gone to another dinsion last night without telling her!

"Ah, we t them last night," Hestia replied casually, knowing exactly what Hephaestus was thinking. "We don't really care about building a massive combat force. August is enough. We just t two cute girls and decided to take them in."

'Dammit!' Hephaestus clenched her teeth. Hestia was shalessly bragging about getting more talented people from another world! She was really jealous.

anwhile, holding the registration forms, Eina Tulle looked at them in confusion.

"Wait, Lady Hestia, Mr. August... you don't plan on expanding your Familia's military strength?" Eina asked.

As captain, August didn't seem interested in building a big legacy or becoming famous. It felt strange. Most Adventurers wanted to be the best, but he didn't care about that at all.

"I never planned on expanding," August replied honestly. "Building a massive guild isn't my job."

"Living peacefully and having a comfortable life is what matters most. Forcing myself to grow bigger would just add problems I don't need."

August laid out his philosophy. Why stress over the future? Enjoy each mont and let soone else handle saving the world.

"Of course, getting stronger is unavoidable," August smiled. "But my original goal for joining a Familia was just to secure a better standard for my family."

He wasn't soone driven by endless greed.

"That's amazing," Eina looked at him as if he were an alien.

She had seen countless rookies and veterans. Most rookies started with grand, arrogant dreams of becoming first-tier heroes, only to lose themselves to the Dungeon's greed and forget their original intentions.

Even though August had incredible power, his goal was simple and down-to-earth. It was a nice idea, but in a city like Orario, full of danger and chances, it seed out of place.

"..." Hephaestus sighed softly, listening to his philosophy.

Orario was a tough place for anyone who cared a lot about family. Without real talent, trying to make a peaceful ho here would only bring trouble. Now she understood why he felt so distant from this world.

'Family?'

The word struck a chord deep within Liliruca Arde's soul.

It was a foreign concept. She had long forgotten what it felt like. Her parents had died in the Dungeon chasing the funds to buy Soma's wine, leaving her to rot in the abyss. From that mont on, she had forgotten where her ho was.

But hearing it now, sothing deep inside her woke up. She wanted to feel that again. She wanted a new family—a happy one.

And the mont that thought crossed her mind...

"..." Hestia's anti-NTR radar flared to life.

"Lili... are you thinking about sothing inappropriate?" Hestia glared at the Pallum with extre suspicion. She could feel her precious child being targeted!

"N-no!" Lili stamred. She had literally just been daydreaming about marrying August and how many kids they were going to have.

Eina and Hephaestus saw Lili's red face and understood right away. A young girl thinking about family usually ant she was thinking about marriage.

Ignoring the flustered Supporter, Hestia finished filling out the forms and handed them to Eina.

"Yui Hirasawa. Ui Hirasawa. Registered as Familia mbers," Eina read aloud.

"Here, these are the two girls," Hestia pulled out her modern smartphone, swiping to a photo of the two exceptionally cute sisters.

"Oh, they're adorable," Eina noted, admiring their refined, foreign clothing.

But as Eina looked at the high-tech screen, she began to think. This device was way ahead of anything in their world. It could take pictures instantly, just like the combat video August had shown before.

'Did Mr. August bring all these items?'

Seeing the advanced tech and the girls' unusual clothes, Eina ca up with a theory. August and Hestia probably didn't live in Orario. Maybe they ca from a faraway, advanced country and used so secret way to travel long distances!

Realizing this, Eina cast a deeply curious, probing look at August.

But the mont her eyes locked onto him... Hestia's anti-NTR radar exploded again.

"STOP STARING AT MY AUGUST!" Hestia waved her fist threateningly. In the original lore, Bell Cranel had a thing for Elven won, and she wasn't about to let this Half-Elf try and steal her own child away!

"Alright, Eina, let's not pry too much," Hephaestus stepped in with a smooth smile, quickly defusing the situation before the smart Half-Elf dug too close to the truth.
