Helian Wei initially intended to easily capture a Xuan Guang Disciple, but unexpectedly a horrifying Sword Qi suddenly appeared. Before it could even reach him, he felt as if his entire body was being pierced by needles. He had no doubt that if it struck him, he would surely be split into two halves.
He imdiately let out a howl, a luminous silver light erupted from his body to et the threat, but it was sliced into two in an instant. Seeing that this defense couldn’t even delay the Sword Light for a mont, he quickly conjured a burst of black mist, resembling an ink blob.
The chilling Sword Qi pierced through the black mist, then flickered, and returned to Wang Caiwei’s sleeve. However, she did not lower her guard, instead she kept her gaze fixed on the black mist in the sky, feeling that the formidable enemy might not be dead yet.
The black mist continued to writhe in the air, and soon, after a violent surge, Helian Wei erged from it looking grim. He pressed one side of his nose and inhaled forcefully, causing the black mist to transform into a line and enter his nostrils.
The Hun Cheng Sect’s Cultivation Technique is peculiar, with each disciple obtaining a Divine Skill upon breakthrough to a new realm. He had reached the Hua Dan Realm and possessed three Divine Power Skills, which could not only be used to defeat enemies but also save his life at critical tis.
In a life-and-death crisis, he could sacrifice one of his Divine Skills to shield against disaster. Just as he did previously, he sacrificed the "Thousand-Mile Sound" Divine Skill and destroyed a Protective Dharma Treasure to narrowly evade the deadly strike of the Yin Slaughter Saber.
However, the Hun Cheng Sect emphasizes the five-technique unity, each Divine Skill bearing a part of the Divine Soul. Only with all five Divine Skills complete, can one aspire to learn higher Dharma techniques. Wang Caiwei’s strike had cut him off from his Great Dao.
Almost getting killed by a Xuan Guang Disciple made Helian Wei furious, igniting infinite killing intent.
But internally, he was perplexed, not understanding how a Xuan Guang Disciple could possess such an incredibly powerful Dharma Treasure, as that deadly light nearly spelled his doom.
Wang Caiwei lacked combat experience; it was her first ti fighting with an Outer Practitioner. Seeing her attack failed to kill him, and that even her True Artifact seed useless, she was slightly panicked and asked, "Sister Yin, why isn’t he dead?"
A black-haired, snow-skinned, white-robed, red-footed woman silently appeared next to her, and with eyes devoid of emotion, glanced at Helian Wei, saying softly, "You didn’t strike his original body. If your mana were deeper, he wouldn’t have escaped."
Wang Caiwei bit her lower lip, her face slightly pale; she was just a Xuan Guang Practitioner with not much mana. Using the True Artifact was really taxing. If the Yin Slaughter Saber hadn’t suffered any damage, or if her Daoist Cultivation were more profound, she could just strike him down effortlessly. But now she couldn’t, having to harness all her energy to control it.
As of now, she could only muster two or three more slashes like the last one, therefore every strike must be taken with utmost caution.
Seeing another woman suddenly appear beside Wang Caiwei, Helian Wei felt a chill sweep over him when she glanced at him, making him shiver involuntarily.
He quickly realized that this woman must be the True Spirit of Dharma Treasure, hesitating for a mont.
Even a Xuan Guang Disciple with a True Artifact could kill him, but another voice inside him insisted that if he could manage to kill her and seize the True Artifact, it would be a massive achievent even if he couldn’t carry out Sacrificial Refinent himself; bringing it back to the sect would be a huge accomplishnt. It was a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity worth staking his life for.
He pondered, "This woman is rely a Xuan Guang Practitioner. Even if she can use a True Artifact, she can only unleash a few strikes. Judging by her expression, the previous slash must have depleted her mana severely. Such a small fledgling, I can just deceive her a few tis."
After making up his mind, a fierce look appeared in his eyes as he made a spell gesture, and suddenly a misty sheen flashed by.

This was a Divine Skill of the Hun Cheng Sect, called "Five Spirits Invasion Spell"; when cultivated to Great Success, it could make one’s eyes unable to see, ears unable to hear, mouth unable to speak, nose unable to sll, and tongue unable to taste, sealing all five senses. Helian Wei had only barely explored it, managing only one sense.
Yet it was enough to deal with Wang Caiwei; at this mont she was blind and unable to perceive external matters, actually having lost one sense. The spell would only be naturally broken if the caster flew far away or was slain by her.
After deploying the Divine Skill, Helian Wei was no longer worried about Wang Caiwei escaping. He sneered and turned to flee, only to return shortly after, now with another person in hand—none other than Disciple Wu, whose eyes were filled with terror, unable to speak.
With a sly smile, Helian Wei flung him down to the ground.
Without much experience, Wang Caiwei was already quite anxious, and upon hearing sounds from above, seemingly of an attacking foe, she naturally swung her saber. Only a "swish" was heard, as if it struck a body, followed by the sound of sothing falling to the ground.
After the saber strike, her mana was even more severely depleted, causing her steps to falter slightly. Still, seeing the surrounding mist persisting, her heart sank, knowing she had fallen into a trap, causing her Heart and Spirit to panic involuntarily.
At this mont, the Yin Slaughter Blade Spirit calmly advised, "Caiwei, stay focused."
Wang Caiwei jolted awake, realizing the enemy had not retreated, and it was not the ti for regret, hastily collecting her thoughts and staying completely alert.
Helian Wei squinted his eyes, thinking, even with a True Artifact, what difference does it make? Aren’t you still being toyed with by ? He licked his lips with a sinister smile, muttering internally, "Let’s see how many more strikes you can make!"
