Therefore, once the Sword Force of this sect’s disciple unfolds, there is no need for defense.

Yang Bi’s strike seed powerful and imposing, but anyone with keen eyes could see there was no follow-up. It was evident he was very careful to protect himself, causing such a situation.

While this approach is understandable, it abandons his strong suit. By the end of the battle, the best outco would be neither victory nor defeat.

Feng Haiyang saw the Sword Qi violently surge forward, splitting the air, yet he remained unperturbed. Calmly, he raised a finger, and from the Tribulation Water rose a banner, blocking before him.

On this banner wriggled a relentless demon, with a single horn on its head and complete limbs, covered with scales, and a tail behind. As soon as it appeared, it opened its massive mouth and sucked mightily, creating a fierce, swirling vortex. Within the wind, colorful star fragnts seed to tumble. As the Gold Qi approached, it was involuntarily drawn in, following the wind force into its bottomless maw.

However, as the Sword Qi was increasingly swallowed, the demon’s originally black scales inexplicably began to turn golden.

Its limbs, initially agile, eventually stiffened motionless. Once the Sword Qi was exhausted, with a few cracking sounds, it shattered into countless fragnts of gold, falling from the banner, scattering all over the ground.

The Black Banner at this point also turned white, seemingly drained of Spiritual Energy. It trembled once, then sank back into the Tribulation Water.

At the sa ti, Feng Haiyang lightly flicked his robe, and a number of devils surged from the Tribulation Water beneath his feet, numbering in the thousands. Once they rose into the sky, they scattered in all directions, howling wildly toward Yang Bi.

Seeing his strike easily blocked, Yang Bi was not flustered. Although he intended to strike again, witnessing this scene, his expression slightly changed.

Previously, he had slain these devils dozens of tis, only eliminating one or two. He could handle a hundred or more, but when faced with thousands, coming incessantly, it would not only immobilize him but also block his retreat routes.

In cultivator battles, standing still is the path to death, so he had no choice but to dodge.

Imdiately, a sword light erged, carrying him to another place.

During his flight, he did not forget to flick his sleeve, sending out hundreds of Sword Qi into the pursuing demons, creating chaos among them. It took a mont before they could reform.

But these devils did not mindlessly charge; instead, they divided into hundreds of routes, encircling him from different directions.

In this way, Yang Bi could only handle them with great difficulty, slaying them in one place, while another place had more fearlessly ascending.

If he paused for a mont in one spot, hordes of devils would gather, seeming to multiply in number. Helplessly, he had to keep flying and dodging, unable to attack Feng Haiyang again. Anyone could see he was now at a disadvantage.

Yet, it wasn’t due to his lack of skill; firstly, he had no intention of defeating the opponent, and secondly, the Cultivation Techniques of the Yuan Yang Sect required seizing the initiative to fully exert. His initial retreat ensured he lost that advantage.

On the peak, Huo Xuan, watching this farce, suddenly shook his head and said, "Without the will to fight, why stick around pretentiously? Better to retreat early."

He could tell that although Yang Bi’s Daoist cultivation was not shallow, he was unwilling to exert full effort. At this mont, not retreating was rely about saving face.

Zhong Muqing pondered for a mont and said, "Since Yang Bi isn’t fighting for this talisman, the disciple of the Yuan Yang Sect will surely aim for one in the next round to reach Extre Sky. Currently, among the Demon Sect, two talisman tokens are yet to descend - one is with the Nether Spring Sect, and the other with the Hun Cheng Sect. He will most likely avoid Feng Haiyang and target the one with the Hun Cheng Sect’s instructor."

Huo Xuan thought for a mont and said, "I’ll take care of the one with the Nether Spring Sect. As for the one with the Hun Cheng Sect, let him and Zhou Huang contest it."

Yang Bi was entangled by the devils for a long ti, yet being a high disciple of Yuan Yang, he ultimately had ways to cope. He took a handful of Gold Qi from his sleeve bag and tossed it out.

The Qi moved swiftly, expanding and tumbling in the air, like rolling clouds, dividing into dozens. So were over a hundred feet large, others rely a foot, spreading over ten miles in the blink of an eye, with golden mist gleaming brilliantly.

Looking up from the ground, it appeared scattered, yet it had encompassed all the devils.

Yang Bi intended to use this golden cloud to set up a Sword Array, not to destroy but to trap them, so he could turn to deal with Feng Haiyang.

Feng Haiyang, however, smiled playfully, tapped his foot gently, and from the Tribulation Water, a thousand more devils erged but did not charge forward, held back by him. He laughed and said, "Master Yang, since you have no intention to fight, why waste your efforts here?"

Yang Bi was sowhat embarrassed by his words. Seeing so many more devils appear opposite, he was startled and thought to himself, "Without using my Lifebound Magic Sword, I can’t defeat this man. Still, it’s not yet ti to stake everything; I might as well retreat for now."

He had many techniques, but to deal with Feng Haiyang, he had to rely on the diligently cultivated Life Killing Sword. This sword, when flying, was like a lightning flash or morning dew, vanishing in a blink. It didn’t need to strike the enemy; just touching an aura allowed it to follow the Qi chanism to cut in. If there was no counter asure in that instant, death was inevitable.

However, if the strike missed or was broken by the opponent, much of his painstaking cultivation would be ruined, so despite its formidable power, he dared not use it recklessly.

This sword, his Daoist couple Zhu Xin also forged one. When combined, their power multiplied several tis. Therefore, he felt it unwise to battle Feng Haiyang here; instead, waiting to reach Extre Heaven, where there would be no one-on-one rules, he could unleash freely.

Thinking thus, he realized continued battling would only invite mockery, so he retrieved his sword plate, abandoned the talisman token, and transford into a sword light to return to the peak.

Feng Haiyang, seeing him retreat, calmly waved his sleeve, collecting the three talisman tokens in the sky and, stepping on Tribulation Water, also returned to the Demon Cloud.
