Most of his offensive spells are centered on Blood Essence, but with Water Light present, it represents a formidable barrier before him. Thus, he must first find a way to resolve it, and with just a thought, dozens of Blood Essence arrows shot out from his side, all directed towards Zhang Yan.
Zhang Yan did not dodge, commanding the sword light to fly forth, slicing through a dozen Blood Essences, leaving only three or four to escape, still charging inward. Suddenly, the sound of water rushing arose, and before they reached within ten feet, they were swept away by the surging Water Elent True Light.
Gao Ruowang saw his defenses were tight and his deanor grew more solemn. Silently, he sensed that the Blood Essences absorbed were only faintly perceptible, seemingly existing yet not, and within monts, the Heart and Spirit connection was completely severed.
By now, he understood that when the Blood Essences were absorbed, Zhang Yan could not imdiately destroy them, requiring so ti to dissolve them. He mused inwardly, "Given Zhang Yan’s Mana, this spell surely has its limits, requiring a secret technique to break it."
The cultivation technique within the Blood Essence Sect is divided into three levels: Upper, Middle, and Lower. The Lower thod involves capturing Devil cultivators and refining them into Blood Essences, capable only of devouring flesh, bones, skin, and blood, resulting in lower-level cultivators mostly practicing this.
The Middle thod allows one to refine Blood Essence into various inconceivable uses, according to one’s desires.
As for the Upper thod, it transcends this path, no longer bound by external objects. By utilizing Mana, Blood Essences can be created and fused with one’s Divine Soul, gathering and dispersing at will. Reaching this level, unless all Blood Essences are simultaneously destroyed, it is impossible to kill. Thus, when Master Ru Huang rampaged in East Splendor, six Cave Heaven True Masters had to form a formation to encircle and eliminate him.
Gao Ruowang, a Nascent Soul Second Realm cultivator, attained the Middle thod, capable of wielding thousands of Blood Essences, with many intentionally crafted to hold so profound effect. After contemplating for a while, he devised a strategy against his opponent,
while Zhang Yan was not idle either, operating his cultivation technique, concentrating his energy above his top gate, gradually stirring the Gang Cloud, ready to be unleashed.
This ti, he did not plan to primarily use Flying Sword for offense, otherwise, even if gaining the upper hand, it would only repeat the previous stalemate, which he did not desire. Hence, he intended to confront using Divine Passage Skill in a frontal battle.
Gao Ruowang pinched the spell, and the three clumps of Gang Cloud above him trembled, releasing countless clumps of faint red dust that shot up into the distant sky, disintegrating into scarlet clouds that drifted around, each the size of a bowl, with an estimated number no less than ten thousand, forming a five-mile radius centered on them, filled with these objects.
Zhang Yan would not allow leisurely spell arrangents and imdiately cast a Qi Jue, causing the Gang Cloud to shake. A few lightning strikes flashed across a hundred-foot distance, striking toward the formidable enemy ahead.
Simultaneously, he waved his sleeve, unleashing hundreds of strands of Gang Thunder to disperse those colored clouds. At this mont, a hundred-foot Flying Peak floated into the scene, and when shattered by his Gang Thunder, half of the mountain crumbled with great noise.
Seeing not many thunderbolts falling, Gao Ruowang decided not to dodge them. He lightly shrugged his shoulder, and with a boom, hundreds of purple-red Blood Essences flew out, split into two divisions, flanking from the sides.
Imdiately after this move, he heard several explosive sounds from the Human Skin Shield, with the grayish-white mist enveloping him showing signs of breaking apart, causing him internal surprise at the power of the Purple Cloud Divine Thunder, which was greater than he imagined. However, there were only a few bolts, and if dozens struck at once, he would have to find a way to dodge and temporarily avoid its edge.
The sword ball beside Zhang Yan sensed a threat and, with a sword hum, responded to the challenge. Under Gao Ruowang’s control, the Blood Essences split once more, with over thirty crimson-black Blood Essences actively confronting the sword ball, producing a clang as if clashing tal, unable to break through with a single strike.
Thanks to this cover, the path of the purple-red Blood Essences cleared, whistling inward. As soon as they reached ten feet away, the waves ahead started crashing like against the shore, rushing upwards to engulf the incoming Blood Essences.
These hundred Blood Essences rged with Blood Poison Skill, capable not only of tainting spiritual chanism but also each strand of poison was weighed like lead. Originally crafted by Gao Ruowang to counter Xuann Sect Treasure, now used against Water Elent True Light.
Gao Ruowang stared intently. In reality, he wasn’t entirely confident with this move. He had already decided that if it failed, he would abandon any thought of defeating this person and solely focus on evading with Escape Skill. After a few hours of stalling, when Feng Haiyang arrived, they would attack together and kill him.
His keen eye noticed that after absorbing the Blood Essences, the water light seed to slow slightly in its rotation. Though it wasn’t obvious, it evidently had so effect.
With delight, realizing his assessnt was correct, he coldly smirked inwardly, "You can easily absorb dozens of Blood Essences, but what about hundreds, thousands?"
Even if Zhang Yan’s Gate Dao Skill is exceedingly strange, not fearing tainted spiritual energy, when the number of Blood Essences increases, suppressing them won’t be easy. By then, breaking his greatest protective reliance would allow to deploy my specialized Daoist Skill and kill the opponent.
Thinking of this, Gao Ruowang’s spirits soared, and he acted swiftly. First, he directed the surrounding colored clouds to converge toward the center, then continuously sent out Blood Essences, occasionally throwing Yin Thunder to engage in counterattacks against Zhang Yan.
Fearing Zhang Yan would notice his plan, he didn’t dare deploy too many at once, instead sending out dozens to hundreds.
Fortunately, Zhang Yan seed oblivious and, regardless of the number of Blood Essences approaching, if the sword net couldn’t block them, he would often summon Water Elent True Light to absorb them all.
After a mont, Gao Ruowang had sent over a thousand Blood Essences into the fray. Observing again, though the turbulent waves were still formidable, they had begun to move sluggishly, as if mixed with countless stones, sand, and sludge, struggling to flow.
