After Wei Daoist left Han Yuan Sect, her expression was completely cold.
She considered herself of noble birth and personally ca to negotiate with good intentions, yet she was turned away, naturally feeling humiliated.
Despite the anger burning in her chest, she remained calm. Even though Han Yuan Sect was small, it controlled a region of the immortal city in Divine House Mountain, and Sect Leader Zhang’s Daoist cultivation was similar to hers. Unless she had fellow Daoists to assist, she had no way to deal with him.
Her roots were in the south of East Victory Continent, and here she hardly knew any fellow Daoists. She frowned and pondered for a long while before suddenly recalling, "Yes, there is a Daoist Liu in Fire Hole Mountain of Chu Kingdom. I’ve heard his Daoist cultivation is profound and he is resourceful. He is also an old acquaintance of my master, so I should visit him for advice."
After deciding, she took out a Wooden Box, held it in her palm, recited a spell, and then swept it with a horsetail whisk. Instantly, colorful light dyed the clouds, transforming into a Flying Boat, twelve feet in length, with a soft cushion couch inside, embroidered curtains and pennants, high-hung silver hooks, with lacquer box and golden artifact placed on the desk, all exceedingly elegant and exquisite.
She stepped inside, sat on the couch, and operated the Flying Boat, flying southward.
A few days later, the Flying Boat entered Zhongtai Sect’s territory. After confirming the position, she flew swiftly southwest along a north-south connecting river. After another day’s journey, she found the location of Fire Hole Mountain near Ximo Sea Boundary.
The place was vast and flat, with a view stretching thousands of miles, the mountain shape peculiar, resembling hills like tombs, rising from flat ground, facing the sea, standing isolated, with dense smoke and fog occasionally erging from the mountain peak, rumbling and ascending into the clouds.
When the Flying Boat approached within five miles, she felt a Prohibition blocking her path, preventing further approach, so she retreated and in Heaven, she called out, "Junior Master Liu, are you there? Disciple Wei Shuling from Baisui Mountain is here to pay respects."
She called out three tis consecutively. After a while, a deep voice ca from the mountain, "So it’s a Little Cang Realm disciple co here. I am currently operating Cultivation Technique, please excuse for being unable to co out and greet you. The outside has fire poison, do not linger long, please co to Yinliang Temple quickly."
As the person spoke, outside the mountain the Prohibition opened up like a Lotus Flower, layer by layer resolving itself, and Wei Daoist did not hesitate, swept with her horsetail whisk, drove the Flying Boat downward, when suddenly a golden light flew over. It turned out to be a Fire Feather Golden Sparrow, with unusually long tail feathers, speckled with Star Fire, very beautiful. Upon reaching near, it suddenly transford into a young girl with Jade Bone and icy skin, holding a round fan, giving her a Wan Fu salute, saying, "Daoist Wei, please follow ."
Wei Daoist nodded slightly, following the girl to the mountain pass. Everywhere they went, the girl waved the round fan, dispersing the smoke in front. After flying for several miles, she saw the surrounding scenery rippling like water, endless mountain rocks and pavilions ebbing and flowing, clearly illusioned.
She was secretly amazed at the strictness of the Prohibition here, almost comparable to a Great Sect’s Mountain Gate Formation. In her heart, she thought, "My master said this senior resided here to avoid a great enemy, looking at this arrangent, it seems to be true."
Before long, the view opened wide, revealing a low hill with gentle terrain, bubbling mountain stream, a Daoist Temple standing atop, below the mountain dozens of houses nestled against the mountain and water, greenery providing shade, with crisscrossing paths outside, and three to five farrs wearing bamboo hats working in the fields, a peaceful rural scene. Outside the smoke envelops, here it appears to be a true Taoyuan.
The two landed in front of the Daoist Temple, and the girl said, "Daoist Wei, please enter, my master is waiting inside."
Wei Daoist did not stand on ceremony, stepped inside, passed the Mountain Gate, and saw twelve green stone lotus seats set on both sides, further ahead was a Brass Incense Burner, and a Daoist stood on the steps beside two Female Attendants embracing swords.
The Daoist had fair skin, almond eyes, three strands of green whiskers on the chin, wearing a cloth robe, his smile very gentle, with two blossoms of Gang Cloud like flying fire above him. However, Wei Daoist took one look and felt his appearance did not match the mory, furrowed her brow, speaking with a colder tone, "Is this Daoist a fellow disciple of Junior Master Liu?"
The Daoist laughed, saying, "I am Zeng Conglun, Senior Brother Liu already underwent soldier ten years ago and reincarnated."
Upon hearing this, Wei Daoist couldn’t help feeling disappointed, saying, "Since Junior Master Liu is no longer here, then I shall take my leave."
Zeng Conglun stepped forward, stopping her, saying, "Junior Wei, don’t be in a hurry to leave. Given the relationship between our families, Junior Wei coming to my doorstep, I must entertain you a bit, else fellow Daoists might say later that I, Zeng Conglun, am unkind."
