His expression shifted subtly, and he thought to himself: "Better to see who it is before making a decision."

He pressed down on the cloud and glanced around. Not far ahead, he saw a pile of scattered rocks. His eyes lit up, and he took a few steps forward before hiding within.

Not long after, a Flying Boat arrived overhead, carrying two disciples of the Blood Essence Sect, clad in black robes.

One of them let out a surprised "Hmm" and said, "I saw Treasure Light soaring to the sky here earlier, faint sounds of killing too. But now that we’re close, it’s all gone?"

The other surveyed the surroundings and sniffed the air before speaking sternly, "The spiritual chanism here is in disorder, and there’s still a lingering scent of blood. Soone must have fought here recently and might not have gone far."

While they were speaking, a muffled sound suddenly erupted from the horizon. Instinctively, they both turned toward the source, seeing a crimson blood cloud rising to the skies. It resembled the glow of the setting sun and dyed half the sky scarlet, an awe-striking sight.

The first man exclaid in alarm, "It’s our Blood Essence Sect’s signal cloud! Could it be that a fellow Brother has intercepted Mingcang Sect disciples and is summoning us for assistance?"

The other man, visibly excited, replied, "Using a signal cloud? It seems so major catches have been made! Good! If we can trap all the Mingcang Sect disciples here, we won’t have to search aimlessly anymore."

"Exactly! Let’s go!"

The two adjusted their Flying Boat, turned around, and sped toward the area where the red glow was erging. In monts, they disappeared from sight.

As the two left, Zhang Yan erged from his hiding spot. He looked up at the layer of intense crimson in the distance, his expression contemplative. Monts later, his gaze turned sharp, and he raised his hand, summoning his sword ball. With a flash of tunneling light, he flew toward it as well.

His speed was imnse. After roughly an hour, he reached a point where silhouettes flickered across the sky, and blood light surged vast and thick.

Approaching cautiously, he found a high vantage point to conceal himself. Looking toward the scene, he saw eight Blood Essence Sect disciples encircling Fang Zhen and a group of five others. The two sides were faintly confronting one another.

Though the Blood Essence Sect disciples had the nurical advantage, they rely released their Blood Essence to hover and weave around the area without initiating any moves. Before long, several others erged around them, quickly raising their numbers past ten.

Ever since the signal cloud was triggered, scattered mbers of their sect from all locations had begun converging here.

Feng Ming, seeing their numbers growing, wore an anxious expression and said, "Senior Brother Fang, is it ti to act now?"

Fang Zhen, however, remained relaxed and replied, "What’s the rush? Let’s wait for a few more Blood Essence Sect disciples to gather. Then we’ll slaughter them all at once."

Feng Ming, still concerned, said, "But what if Brother Xie and his group can’t hold out?"

Fang Zhen shot him a displeased look and retorted, "Xie Zongyuan is a disciple of the Xie Family; he naturally has his own ways to preserve his life. Why do you need to worry? Furthermore, the plan this ti is for his group to draw away that Xuan Guang Practitioner, while we eliminate the remaining Blood Essence Sect disciples. If the numbers are too few, wouldn’t our strategy be wasted? Just watch carefully and kill a few more Demon Dao scoundrels, so I can petition for credit on your behalf to our master afterward."

Feng Ming hesitated briefly before saying again, "Senior Brother Fang, all of us are in this Demon Cave. Our fate rises and falls together as disciples of the sa sect. Even if there are personal grudges, now isn’t the ti to dwell on them. If we wait too long, and that Blood Essence Sect Xuan Guang arrives after abandoning Brother Xie, we may not escape."

Fang Zhen snorted, but it seed he had listened to Feng Ming’s words. Sowhat reluctantly, he retrieved a Golden Ring, about three feet in size. His expression turned cold and mocking as he flung the ring toward a Blood Essence Sect disciple wielding a long banner.

The disciple imdiately raised his banner to block, but before he could react, soone on the side cried out in alarm, "Don’t!"

The disciple was too late. The Golden Ring suddenly released a fiery figure cloaked entirely in flickering violet flas. Like it had its own spiritual nature, it dove at the disciple, wrapping itself around him. As it spun once on the spot, it exploded with a thunderous roar, vaporizing him into nothing but a pile of ash without even a scream.

Fang Zhen sneered coldly and summoned the Golden Ring back with a casual motion.

A Blood Essence Sect disciple shouted, "Fellow Brothers, beware! That’s the Five Fire Divine Weapon Circle. It specializes in countering yin and evil entities. Last ti, even our master’s Blood Essence was destroyed by this artifact!"

As the words spread, the surrounding Blood Essence Sect disciples imdiately retreated a few steps, widening their formation. It was clear they greatly feared this Dharma Treasure.

With a mocking expression, Fang Zhen burst into laughter and said, "Since you know how powerful my treasure is, why not obediently accept your death?"

He threw the Golden Ring again, aiming for another Blood Essence Sect disciple.

At that exact mont, a beam of red light suddenly flew in from afar, perfectly intercepting the trajectory of the Five Fire Divine Weapon Circle. The clash produced a sharp tallic clang, and the Golden Ring was forcibly repelled.

Fang Zhen was taken aback and looked up. Standing in the field was a cultivator clad in blood-red robes, with disheveled hair. His face bore a sinister expression, though his features were sowhat handso. With a hooked nose, piercingly cold eyes, and a complexion void of any blood color, he exuded an ominous aura.

The Blood Essence Sect disciples imdiately dropped to their knees and respectfully greeted, "Greetings, Master!"

Watching from afar, Zhang Yan was startled. Could this be the Hua Dan Cultivator? But upon closer inspection, he noticed the figure was slightly indistinct, resembling a soul or ghost. Relieved, he set his worries aside.

Fang Zhen, initially alard, quickly assessed the figure and burst into wild laughter. "I wondered who it could be! So it’s only a Shadow Blood Essence. If your True Body were here, I’d surely be dead, but as things stand, you can’t frighten . What, have you forgotten the humiliation from last ti?"
