"Hiss!" A sharp sound rang out as the green light pierced through his left chest, then twisted forward, severing Du You’s arm cleanly. Du You imdiately let out an earth-shattering scream.
Du Bo also let out a muffled grunt as his figure froze in mid-air. The Xuan Guang shimring around him flickered unstably like a fla in the wind, seemingly teetering on the verge of extinction. The green light completed a half-circle in the air and swept back again, this ti aiming straight for his head.
"Ruyi Divine Shuttle?"
Du Bo couldn’t help but force a bitter smile. He deeply understood the shuttle’s power; even at full strength, it would have been tough to handle. Now, how could he dare take it head-on? In desperation, he retreated deeper into the cave.
Luo Xiao, seeing Du Bo thwarted, was elated and couldn’t help but remind Zhang Yan, "Daoist Zhang, though the Ruyi Divine Shuttle is formidable, this man has fused his True Essence and Xuan Guang together. As long as the Xuan Guang remains intact, his head and heart unscathed, his life will remain secure. You must not underestimate him."
Standing behind the cave wall, Zhang Yan chuckled faintly and said, "No matter. He’s just a cornered beast struggling for life."
Luo Xiao pressed her fingers together to form a spell and shouted a commanding word. The Soul-shattering Inkstone descended once more. This ti, Du Bo had no way to evade. He bellowed loudly, his muscles visibly taut beneath his clothes, shoulders raised tightly to counter the blow. The previously surging, ocean-like Xuan Guang abruptly contracted into a protective layer no larger than a palm, shielding his shoulder.

The Soul-shattering Inkstone struck directly onto Du Bo’s shoulder. To everyone’s surprise, his condensed Xuan Guang, though thin as a layer of water, was strong enough to shield his shoulder, absorbing the blow. The inkstone failed to connect with his flesh directly. Without uttering a word, Du Bo dropped to his knees, arching his spine upward with great force, remarkably pushing the Inkstone higher.
Luo Xiao let out a small "Huh?" of surprise but instead of being disturbed, she smiled gleefully. Although Du Bo appeared resilient, he was nothing more than a tiger trapped in a cage or a Flood Dragon stranded in shallow waters. His fierce resistance was rely the desperation of death.
She thought to herself, "In that case, I’ll add more fla to hasten your passage!"
Gracefully, she waved her slender hand, summoning another treasure into the air. It was a cloud-patterned vermillion pen about a foot in length, its barrel plump and adorned with gold-painted designs. The mont it floated into the air, the pen’s tip began dipping up and down like a person nodding. Instantly, a Qi chanism enveloped Du Bo.
"Proclamation Pen?" Du Bo cried out in shock.
At this mont, Du Bo bitterly cursed Du Luo for spoiling her child. She had even given away this treasure to Du You without informing him, leading to today’s calamity.
Faced with this life-and-death crisis, Du Bo could only make one desperate last stand. His wrist flicked slightly, and a small silver arrow slid into his palm. Raising his hand, he flung it towards Luo Xiao.
In the blink of an eye, the small arrow closed in on Luo Xiao, whose face changed dramatically. The sound of "clang" echoed as the arrow and shield simultaneously dropped to the ground.

Seeing his treasure, now wielded by the opponent, shattering his most hopeful attack, Du Bo’s vision turned black with rage. Unable to suppress the surge of blood in his throat, he spat it out from his mouth.
At this mont, the Proclamation Pen had already encircled his body once. The blue Xuan Guang around him was instantly shaved off a layer, and after another sweep, it dimd further. As the Xuan Guang thinned out, Du Bo’s expression drastically changed. His body had beco akin to broken scrap, with only a last shred of True Essence extracted from his Dan Acupoint keeping him sustained. He realized he wouldn’t be able to escape today.
Coming to terms with this, he made a decisive choice. Sighing deeply, he reached out and placed his hand on Du You’s shoulder, thinking to himself, "I only hope your mother understands my bitter effort."
With a push of his hand, the Xuan Guang surrounding his body split apart and transferred a large portion to Du You. Then, with a flash of light, it enveloped Du You, carrying him out in flight.
After completing the motion, blood began seeping from every orifice on Du Bo’s face. He had relinquished all resistance, but as long as he could preserve Du You’s life, his family might endure. He could only hope the Du Family, upon learning the truth, would avenge him.
Monts later, the Proclamation Pen looped in the air one more ti, stripping away the last remnants of Xuan Guang from Du Bo.
This ti, the Soul-shattering Inkstone descended unimpeded, smashing into Du Bo with a thunderous "boom," destroying his body so utterly that not a trace of his Primordial Spirit remained.
Du You had initially felt liberated by the Xuan Guang’s transfer, believing he had miraculously escaped. Yet, out of nowhere, the Ruyi Divine Shuttle surged forward and pierced through his chest and abdon. Du You let out a horrible scream as blood sprayed everywhere, and he plumted from mid-air.
Watching the shuttle circling ominously in the air, seemingly readying another strike, Du You’s terror was unfathomable. He scread, "Zhang Yan, if you kill , my Du Family will ensure your Divine Soul is annihilated! Spare today, and I will report to the Sect Leader, granting you the title of Senior Disciple of the Lower Court along with unrestricted access to Dharma Treasures and Elixirs..."
Zhang Yan ignored his nonsensical pleas entirely. Executing his spell, the Ruyi Divine Shuttle sliced cleanly through Du You’s neck like soft clay, and his head rolled onto the ground. The shuttle swirled again, destroying the speckle of escaping Primordial Spirit.
Thus, Du You and Du Bo were completely obliterated.
The formidable adversaries eliminated, Zhang Yan’s heart and spirit finally relaxed. With their deaths, no one in the world remained to know he had swallowed the Xuanzhu. He could now return to the Mountain Gate without worry.
Exhaling deeply, Zhang Yan glanced at the corpses beneath his feet. Turning to Luo Xiao, who erged from the cave wall, he asked, "Daoist Luo, is there a thod to dispose of their remains without leaving evidence?"
Luo Xiao pondered briefly, her eyes lighting up. She clapped her hands and said, "There is indeed a way."
She took quick steps, picking up a pouch of dicine Powder from the ground. Holding it in her hand, she said, "This is Evil Salt Powder. Just a pinch, dissolved in water, can erode and penetrate gold and stone. It’s perfect for obliterating corpses."
"Thus, we shall dissolve the remains of Du You and Du De, yet leave those of the twelve others untouched."
Luo Xiao covered her mouth, chuckling lightly. "Daoist Zhang, this plan ensures Du Bo carries a tarnished reputation even in death."
Smiling faintly, Zhang Yan was about to respond when his expression suddenly changed. He sensed a faint tremor perating the heavens and earth. His gaze sharpened as he spoke grimly, "The Lightning Calamity approaches!"
