At this mont, a thousand miles away from the Bat King Temple, within a deep mountain earth cave, a Daoist with a bone hairpin in his hair and wearing a black robe stared at a broken jade pendant in his hand, frowning silently.

He is a disciple of the Hun Cheng Sect under the Demon Sect, dispatched by his master to guard this place.

This is also a tough task; all the prohibition arrays set up by the sect within tens of thousands of miles are under his watch.

Earlier, he suddenly sensed that a talisman placed long ago by the sect had dimd, but judging by its layout, who knows how many years it has been, and it’s essentially useless.

But according to sect regulations, even if that arrangent has long been abandoned, he cannot ignore it.

He cursed for a while, and despite his extre reluctance, he could only crush the token, close his eyes to sense for a mont, identify the location, then shake his sleeve to release a wisp of blue smoke, which instantaneously carried him up and hurried toward that boundary.

This wisp of blue smoke is a flying secret treasure granted by the sect, making it convenient for him to travel; even a thousand miles can be reached in an instant, yet he ambles slowly along the way, intentionally dragging his pace.

If the one who broke the prohibition had already left, he only needed to take a look and return, reluctant to interfere further.

Monts later, he was a hundred miles from the Bat King Temple when his relaxed deanor suddenly tightened into seriousness. He cast several spells in succession, concealing his figure before daring to move forward.

Nowadays, many Demon Sect disciples act recklessly, although aware there are no experts among ordinary folk, he remains extrely cautious, not daring to underestimate those who approach.

He covertly observed from the clouds afar, seeing an astonishing aura below, overwhelming and vast, faintly rushing to the sky, surpassing his own cultivation by an unknown margin, shocking his heart as he muttered inwardly, "How dangerous, how dangerous."

If he had recklessly rushed out earlier, he would have been caught under the blade of this person?

After another few glances, the fear in his eyes increased. Although equipped with a flying secret treasure, the figure below the temple was at least in the Hua Dan Realm, so he imdiately decided to withdraw swiftly.

Just as he was turning, he inadvertently glimpsed a child hurrying up the slope, carrying soone on his back yet moving swiftly, which caught his attention. After a few glances, his heart was moved, thinking, "Such a fine bone, indeed upper grade."

He looked a few more tis, suddenly shaking all over, and exclaid, "Could it be..." In a mont of urgency, he disregarded everything else, thrusting forward as a stream of Xuan Guang descended, sweeping the child up.

Wei Zihong was skipping along, nearing the Bat King Temple, when he suddenly felt lighter, snatched onto the clouds, while his mother and the little white monkey fell to the ground. Alard, he cried out, looking up to see a weird Daoist sitting before him, glaring at him with wide eyes looking unfriendly, Wei Zihong guardedly demanded, "Who are you, why seize , let down!"

The Daoist Wupao chuckled, reaching out to lift his bangs, revealing a mark like a closed eye, his face instantly erupting with joy, almost dancing with excitent, repeatedly saying, "Indeed it is, indeed it is."

He then grinned contentedly, saying, "Just co with , this ti I’ve struck gold."

Though thrilled in his heart, fearing Zhang Yan nearby, he wished to say no more, intending to whisk Wei Zihong away.

At this mont, a loud sound echoed behind him, he turned to see a surge of Qi of Elixir Evil from the temple top, from which a sword ball burst forth, flashing like lightning, slashing toward him.

"Flying Sword?"

The Daoist Wupao was imdiately so frightened his soul scattered, cold sweat drenched him as he realized the opponent was a Sword Cultivator, perhaps from the Shaoqing Sect? Even with a flying secret treasure in hand, escape seed impossible. Dare not linger a mont longer, he turned to flee.

anwhile, Wei Zihong also sensed sothing amiss, urgent in heart, his blood surged, forehead aching as that eye mark on it suddenly opened, emitting a fierce glow instantly onto the Daoist Wupao’s face.

All of the Daoist Wupao’s heart and spirit were focused on the Flying Sword; he hadn’t anticipated such a sudden change, caught off guard, he scread, covering his eyes as fresh blood flowed profusely between his fingers. During this delay, a sword light slashed across his neck, instantly decapitating him, his body fell down.

Upon the death of the Daoist Wupao, Wei Zihong also plumted from the air, when a plu of smoke swept in, wrapped him, and soared, arriving at the cloud head in the blink of an eye.

Zhang Yan glanced down, grabbing his wrist, discovered no serious harm, nodded, waved his sleeve to envelop the Wei family and the little white monkey, swept them up, and after confirming the direction, rode the cloud and flew away.

Wei Zihong now felt his head splitting, body weak, noticing that the Qi power Zhang Yan had bestowed upon him monts ago had dispersed entirely.

Whenever the strange eye on his forehead opened, he would feel dizzy and need to lie in bed for days to recover. Just now, forcibly using the strange eye to observe had further exhausted much Primordial Qi, and soon after, he fell into a deep slumber.

Slept for an indeterminate ti, when he awoke, he found himself in mid-air, carefully probing below out of curiosity.

Zhang Yan noticed, smiled slightly, and said, "Apprentice, you’re awake, after crossing the mountain ahead, we’ll return to the Mountain Gate."

However, at that mont, Zhang Yan’s gaze sharpened as he suddenly saw a Daoist as a clear breeze and bright moon, carefree and elegant, standing within the clouds, bowing toward him, saying loudly, "Junior Brother Zhang, you’ve returned, I’ve been waiting for you for a long ti."

Zhang Yan looked, surprisingly it was Luo Qingyu, also one of the Top Ten Disciples with him, he stepped forward calmly, returning the bow courteously saying, "I’m not sure why Senior Luo is waiting for here, what guidance do you have?"

Luo Qingyu chuckled softly, sayng blandly, "I heard Junior Brother Zhang has diligently cultivated Daoist skills for years, progressing greatly, and I also have so insights, wishing to discuss with you."
