True Master Tao nodded slightly, his form swiftly disappearing. The Bright Pearl rose into the air, and after a spin, a point of Spirit Light headed towards the array.
Zhang Yan didn’t hesitate, shaking the token in hand, causing the Star Pivot Palace to unleash dense thunder and lightning, following the Spirit Light swiftly.
As he ventured into the array, he saw countless exotic beasts with dragon heads and tiger bodies attacking from all directions, trying to collide with the Flying Palace.
These exotic beasts were array spirits ford by the array’s evolution, gathered by the mana of those in the array, endless and invincible. Thus, he paid them no mind, knowing that as long as they neared the Flying Palace, they would be blocked outside by prohibitions.
After traveling for an unspecified ti, the Spiritual Pearl halted, pausing mid-air. Suddenly, the scene before him changed dramatically!
At this mont, the fog dispersed, revealing about a mile ahead a Dharma Platform built from piled stones. Atop stood a Demon General clad in golden armor, holding a small flag, waving it back and forth according to a Dharma technique. Below the platform, no less than thirty thousand demon soldiers responded with flags, shouting continuously. Seeing a Flying Palace suddenly intrude, they were filled with panic after the initial shock.
Zhang Yan did not rush to take action. After so thought, he smiled playfully, waving his hand to release the Water Elent True Light. Water rippled and roared as thousands of Blood Line Golden Worms surged forth, seemingly slling blood, eagerly charging at the demon soldiers.
Although these demon soldiers had low cultivation, when gathered, they were not weak, and would not sit idly by. Under the Demon General’s command, they ford into an array, waving flags to unleash Clear Light from the Dharma Platform, exploding with non-stop roars and assaults.
However, the Blood Line Golden Worms unfurled their wing mbranes, engulfed in a circle of blood-red Rainbow Light, flowing like water. The Clear Light fell like light feathers on water, causing not a ripple.
As they breached the demon soldier array, the swarms of worms accelerated ferociously, charging in like tigers among sheep, frenziedly devouring and biting.
The thirty thousand demon soldiers initially managed to hold on under the Demon General’s lead, but once the general was devoured by dozens of golden worms, their formation collapsed spectacularly, fleeing in all directions.
Zhang Yan paid no heed to the feasting Blood Line Golden Worms, allowing them to gorge themselves here, instead pushing forward the Flying Palace, heading with the Spiritual Pearl towards another Array Gate.
As long as the Array Gate was found, the array was not hard to break. In rely an hour, without much effort, he had conquered eight Great Arrays.
Aside from the first great array, all remaining demon soldiers and generals were captured with the Water Elent True Light.
He captured these demon soldiers not to feed the Blood Line Golden Worms, but with the intention of, should he indeed obtain the True Artifact, taming those demon soldiers to reform the great array. However, he spared none of the demon generals, all were killed.
At this mont, True Master Tao’s voice sounded again in his ear: "Daoist Zhang, ahead lies the ninth Array Gate. Once this array is broken, you may enter within, where lies Lu Yuanxing’s main altar."
After Zhang Yan broke through eight Dharma Platforms, most of the mist within the array had dissipated. The remaining few posed no obstacle. The exotic beasts ford by mana were sparse, not as endless as before.
After only the ti it took an incense stick to burn, a Dharma Platform erged ahead, marking the destination. His eyes glinted; he did not remain sitting within the Flying Palace but stepped out.
Facing over thirty thousand demon soldiers beneath the Dharma Platform, he smiled faintly, raised his hand, about to release True Light to capture them.
The one guarding this Array Gate was Lu Changsu. Knowing the previous fate of those demon generals and seeing Zhang Yan about to act, he was terrified to his core, with a "thud," knelt on the ground, begging, "True Master Zhang, please do not act, please do not act. The little demon is willing to submit along with his tribes, willingly becoming the True Master’s steed. If I break my oath, may the heavens strike down!"
As he finished speaking, he kowtowed with loud bangs, then prostrated forward, revealing his true form—a Dragon Whale with dragon scales covering his body, gathered spine bones on its back, a single horn on its head, asuring over fifty zhang from head to tail. He paused in thought, then leaped onto its head, patting the horn, smiling, "If you are sincere, then accompany to the main array."
Lu Changsu shuddered all over but did not dare resist. With a roar, the Dragon Whale’s fins beneath its belly rose with a billow of smoke, flying into the air. Being a mber of the Lu Family, he was familiar with the array’s pathways, needing no instructions to deftly fly towards the array’s center.
Flying for a quarter, Zhang Yan saw a three-zhang high platform with banners planted all around. Tens of thousands of demon soldiers surrounded Lu Yuanxing and the Golden Robed Elder, invisibly guarded by those demon soldiers.

Zhang Yan nodded slightly. As he circulated his Mysterious Skill, with a thunderous roar, a Nascent Soul leaped out from his crown.
This Nascent Soul, crafted entirely in gold, with radiant brilliance, was faceless, bearing a halo of five-colored luminescence behind, endlessly revolving. It stepped forward with a bow, smiling, "Lord Lu, where do you think you can hide this ti?"
Lu Yuanxing, seeing the Dragon Whale beneath Zhang Yan’s feet, displayed a look of sorrow and anger. With Zhang Yan breaking through the outer array and now reaching here, he knew the tide had turned, fearing that after this battle, Bijiao Prefecture would cease to exist. He let out a resolute yet furious laugh, "Zhang Yan, don’t get complacent. Today, I will have a fight to the death with you!"
