Now reading: Chapter 857: Charlotte Letting Go from Dark Lord Seduction System: Taming Wives, Daughters, Aunts, and CEOs, a Action novel by almightyP.

Her face had gone pale, but her eyes were bright—dangerously bright.

"Do you understand what you’re describing?" Her voice was barely a whisper. "Nanotech construction isn’t just faster. It’s... it’s buildings that can repair themselves. Structures that adapt to stress in real-ti. Materials stronger than anything that exists because they’re being assembled atom by atom."

She ran a hand through her hair, laughing once—helpless, exhilarated.

"Peter, this is decades ahead of anything anyone’s even theorizing. We’re talking science fiction that just beca science fact."

"ARIA can handle it."

"That’s not—" Charlotte stopped. Laughed again, louder this ti. "Of course she can. Of course she fucking can. Why am I even surprised anymore?"

Amanda raised her hand like she was in class. "I understood maybe thirty percent of that. Nanotech ans tiny robots?"

"Microscopic machines," Charlotte explained, still looking dazed but grinning now. "Smaller than cells. They can manipulate matter at the atomic level. Build things from the ground up, molecule by molecule. It’s the difference between sculpting a statue with a chisel and... and growing it. Perfectly. Flawlessly."

"With nanotech integration," ARIA said, "the Three-month tiline becos conservative. The towers won’t just be built—they’ll be optimized during construction. Every beam, every joint, every connection point engineered to theoretical perfection. When master cos back from Paris. They’ll be done."

Madison was watching with an unreadable expression—half pride, half "you absolute madman." "You’ve been planning this."

"I’ve been thinking about it. ARIA makes it possible."

"Speaking of making things possible—" ARIA’s form flickered slightly as she accessed sothing deeper in the network. "All technology under our control will soon operate from a single primary server. The Omni-Eros Server."

Charlotte frowned. "The what now?"

"Omni-Eros," ARIA repeated, and there was the faintest hint of mischief in her voice. "The central hub for every system we run. Quantum Tech’s networks. The estate’s infrastructure. The towers once they’re complete. The bots. The Construction Drones. Everything connected, everything synchronized, everything running through one unified architecture."

Amanda snorted.

Then covered her mouth.

Then started laughing—full-bellied, head-thrown-back laughing.

"I’m sorry," she gasped between breaths. "I’m sorry, but—Omni-Eros? That’s the na?"

Madison’s lips were twitching. "It does sound a bit..."

"Cringe?" Charlotte offered, grinning now despite herself. "Incredibly, painfully cringe?"

"Don’t look at ," ARIA said, and there was genuine amusent in her voice as she turned toward with exaggerated innocence. "Peter nad it."

All three won turned to stare at .

"It was a working title," I said defensively, already knowing I’d lost this battle.

"Omni-Eros," Amanda repeated slowly, savoring every syllable like it was the punchline to the best joke she’d heard in years. "Nad after your na. Which you also nad after yourself."

"There were thematic considerations—"

"He’s literally nad his god-server after himself," Amanda wheezed, clutching her stomach. "I can’t. I actually can’t."

"The server predates my involvent," ARIA added helpfully, wings rustling with mock solemnity. "I simply inherited the na. Along with the bla, apparently. But I assure you—" she gestured at with theatrical emphasis, "—all responsibility for the nonclature rests entirely with Peter."

"Traitor," I muttered.

"I prefer ’honest.’"

Charlotte was laughing so hard she had to brace herself against her desk. Even Madison—my composed, regal queen—was shaking with suppressed giggles, one hand pressed to her mouth like she was trying (and failing) to maintain dignity.

I sighed. "Can we move on?"

"Absolutely not," Amanda said, wiping tears from her eyes. "This is the best day of my life. Omni-Eros. Gods. It’s like a bad superhero movie had a baby with corporate branding."

"It’s a perfectly functional na—"

"It’s adorable," Madison said, and sohow that was worse—her voice soft, teasing, eyes sparkling with pure delight.

ARIA let them have their fun for another minute—wings half-spread, expression serene—before smoothly redirecting.

"On a more practical note—the Omni-Eros Server will provide unprecedented integration. Real-ti coordination between all construction elents. Predictive optimization. Instant communication across every system we control. The towers won’t just be buildings. They’ll be extensions of my awareness."

The laughter faded as the implications settled in.

"Living buildings," Charlotte said quietly, awe replacing amusent. "You’re describing living buildings."

"Responsive architecture. But yes—in a sense, alive."

We talked for another hour. Business strategy. Infrastructure migration. The future of Quantum Tech.

Charlotte leaned back in her chair, fingers steepled. "When the towers are complete," she said, pulling up schematics on her desk display—holographic blueprints spinning slowly like dark promises—"we should relocate Quantum Tech’s headquarters to Lincoln Heights. This building becos a branch—West Coast operations, public-facing offices, the parts of the company that still need to play nice with traditional corporate infrastructure."

"And the real work happens in the towers," I finished.

"Exactly." She traced a finger along the tower silhouettes—sleek, impossible spires that looked more like weapons through the skies than buildings. "The projects we can’t let the public see yet. The ones that would make regulators shit themselves and competitors hire assassins."

Madison nodded slowly from her spot by the window, arms crossed, city lights painting her profile in gold and shadow. "Keep the public face clean and corporate. The real empire stays hidden until we’re ready to reveal it. Liberation Holdings, Quantum Tech, the towers—they all connect, but from the outside, they look like separate entities."

My quantum watch buzzed—soft vibration against my wrist. A ssage from Soo-Jin: Assignnt complete.

I smiled—small, private, the kind of smile that usually ant soone’s day was about to get significantly worse.

"Everything alright?" Charlotte asked, catching the expression.

"Perfect. Just so logistics coming together." I glanced up. "Speaking of logistics—Madison and Amanda you guys can head back to the estate if you want."

Madison raised an eyebrow—sharp, knowing. "And you?"

"I have sothing to take care of here."

Sothing flickered in Madison’s eyes—understanding, maybe approval. She was the queen. She saw everything. "Take your ti. We’ll handle things at the estate."

Amanda was already heading for the door when ARIA spoke.

"Interesting." Her voice carried genuine surprise—rare for her. "The ghost car just prepped itself. Engines activating, climate control adjusting, seats configuring—all without any command input."

We all paused.

"It does that," I said. "Sotis."

"It shouldn’t be capable of autonomous action. The systems aren’t—" ARIA stopped. Tilted her head like she was listening to sothing only she could hear. "It’s waiting for them. At the parking structure elevator. As if it knew they were leaving."

Madison and Amanda exchanged glances.

"Haunted," Amanda said firmly. "I’m telling you. That car is haunted."

"There’s no such thing as—" ARIA began.

"Says the goddess made of light who can feel hugs."

ARIA paused. "Fair point."

Madison shook her head, already moving toward the door. "We’ll figure out the car later. Amanda—let’s try not to crash the haunted vehicle."

"No promises."

They swept out—Madison gave one last look that said be careful without saying a word. The door clicked shut behind them.

****

Two minutes later, I stood at Charlotte’s window watching the ghost car pull out of Quantum Tech’s underground parking. Even from floors up, I could see heads turning, phones raising, people stopping dead on sidewalks to stare at the impossible vehicle gliding through LA traffic like it owned the road.

Madison was driving—hands steady on the wheel, posture regal even behind tinted glass. Amanda was in the passenger seat, gesturing emphatically about sothing—probably still on her "the car is possessed" rant.

The car would reach the estate in under a few minutes. It would beco the center of attention the mont it arrived—my harem gathering around it, asking questions, demanding rides, probably trying to figure out if it answered to voice commands or just my mood.

Let them have their fun.

I had other priorities tonight.

Charlotte appeared beside , her reflection ghosting in the window glass next to mine—dark hair framing a face that had gone from exhausted to exhilarated in the last hour.

"They’re gone," she said.

"They’re gone."

"So, it’s just us."

I turned to face her fully.

The city lights painted her in gold and shadow—blouse clinging just enough to hint at the curves beneath, skirt hugging hips that had always known how to command a room. Which she knew how much I loved her. And she loved in return. She wasn’t hiding anymore. Not from . Not tonight.

"Just us," I echoed.

Charlotte stepped closer—close enough that I could sll her perfu, sothing expensive and dark, like smoke and jasmine and ambition.

"You seem quiet," she said softly. "Even for you."

"Thinking."

"About?"

"About how far we’ve co." I gestured vaguely at the city below. "About how much farther we’re going. About the fact that I’m standing in a room with a woman who’s about to run Silicon Valley and the world like it was her personal playground, and now she’s looking at like I’m the one holding the reins of her heart."

Charlotte laughed—quiet, warm. "You are holding my reins, Peter. Whether you want to admit it or not."

She reached out. Fingers brushed my jaw—light, deliberate.

"I used to think power was about control," she said. "About who had the most money, the most leverage, the most secrets. Then you showed up with a goddess in your pocket and a plan that sounded like madness... and suddenly I realized power isn’t about holding anything. It’s about choosing what to let go of."

Her thumb traced my lower lip.

"And right now," she whispered, "I’m choosing to let go of everything except this mont."

I caught her wrist—gently, but firm enough that she felt it.

"Then let’s make it count."
