Now reading: Chapter 1065 - 1063: Pulling Another into the Water from Darkstone Code, a Drama novel by Tripod.

For those from small cities, the tropolis will be the most terrifying test of their lives.

Like what the young maid is facing now.

High society is a fierce collision for the ordinary class.

Different values, different morals, different worldviews...

There isn’t much overlap, which is the biggest problem between high society and the general public—they’re not on the sa channel.

Since returning from Paradise Island, Austin has remained silent, seemingly contemplating so philosophical questions about life. Lynch didn’t provide her with more guidance or help.

So problems need to be solved on one’s own to truly resolve them; others can’t help her much.

That morning, Kazriel received an invitation from Lynch to visit his villa.

If it weren’t for this guy having the title of Count and being keen on various won’s professional sports, Lynch might have already forgotten him.

According to Ms. Tracy, he sponsored quite a few won’s professional sports and had so scandals with female athletes.

It’s very normal; every action has an ultimate purpose. People cannot possibly give out large sums of money for charity without being purposeful.

Lynch thought of him, also realizing there is room for cooperation with this Count Kazriel on so matters.

"I wanted to buy a house here earlier, but they told houses here aren’t sold to foreigners," Kazriel examined the villa’s décor, sitting on the sofa, giving the new leather sofa a pat with so emotion.

"This is quite unfortunate; I thought living in the Federation would feel like ho, but constant little reminders show this is not my ho," he said.

Lynch smiled, but didn’t say anything.

He knew about this matter, but it is not a policy issue; it isn’t that the Federation Governnt forbids his purchase of properties here, but the residents here do not allow it.

Purity is a phenonon unique to the Federation.

High society resists middle class moving into their areas, and middle class spontaneously resists lower class moving into their communities.

Ordinary communities resist the poor becoming their neighbors, even within holess people there exists mutual disdain.

This is a characteristic of the Federation; sotis it’s not that people look down on soone, but they look down on the social class behind that person.

Lynch didn’t join in, didn’t say he’d get this matter done, and Count Kazriel wasn’t surprised. He simply had the mindset of asking to see if it might work.

Having a semi-mountain villa in Bupen would greatly help him raise his influence in the Federation.

"You aren’t asking here just to praise your villa, Lynch."

They’ve known each other for quite a while; this Count Kazriel... is not a very serious count.

While other nobles were fighting for power in their own countries, he ca to the Federation to enjoy the convenient lifestyle here, a count who loves to enjoy life, and since this isn’t his country, he behaves quite low-key.

This also makes his communication with others seem quite approachable.

Lynch nodded slightly, "Although it’s rather presumptuous, could you talk to about your country?"

"My country?" The Count couldn’t help but laugh, "I wish it were my country, but okay, there’s nothing I can’t say about it..."

It’s a very small country, with a land area roughly equivalent to two neighboring states in the Federation and a population of just over two million, but it is quite wealthy.

The wealth stems from minerals and oil; these resources are imnsely valuable.

Dostically, there isn’t a highly developed industrial environnt, only so light industry and agriculture, but that’s sufficient for them to live very well.

The Emperor is a wise old man; he abolished most taxes, retaining only comrcial tax and a few tax items that don’t affect ordinary people, allowing them to live with minimal costs in this country.

Unlike the Federation, where forty to fifty percent of one’s inco ends up in the tax bureau’s account annually, even with tax evasion, twenty to thirty percent still must be paid.

There’s no geographical hostility, a very peaceful small country.

Listening to his description, Lynch could already imagine how quiet that country is.

He hesitated a bit, "I’m not sure if I should discuss these things with you..."

Count Kazriel is sowhat curious, "I don’t quite understand what you’re troubled by, but if you don’t say it, we’ll never know whether to face it or not."

Lynch seed to struggle for a while, and then made a choice, "Here’s how it is, there’s a business worth billions..."

Count Kazriel laughed loudly, "I know, Mr. Billions, are you talking to about Galil?"

Lynch’s expression gradually turned serious, "No, I want to talk to you about Federation Sol, a business worth a billion Federation Sol, though you should understand."

"This enormous amount, I can’t handle it alone, and I also need so people to provide with necessary assistance."

"Maybe you’ll ask, our relationship isn’t particularly strong, why would I choose you, which isn’t really a problem."

"Because we need your country’s backing, which will beco a part of the plan..."

Lynch spoke frankly, without disguise, which enhanced persuasion.

Count Kazriel fell silent.

A business deal worth billions, he suddenly felt a bit thirsty and took a sip from the water cup on the coffee table.

In these years living in the Federation, he had co to understand one truth.

It’s not difficult to earn people’s respect in this country, as long as you have money.

Look at those Workers’ Union people, they just hand out free fried chicken and beer, and they earn the workers’ heartfelt respect.

Look at those capitalists; they just slightly improve the employee benefits, and those people are discussing their own boss when they’re in bed at night with their spouses—"The boss is such a good person!"

As long as you have money, you can be friends with the President, friends with the political figures, friends with anyone, just have money!

Money is a good thing.

"How much can I get?" Count Kazriel asked the question he cared about, "If it’s too little, it won’t work!"

He thought that even a thousandth would be acceptable, a thousandth is ten million, and that amount of money would be enough for him to squander for a long ti.

Many people think that sponsoring events is very expensive, but it actually isn’t.

With tens of thousands, you can sponsor a competition, for example, a regional one, not as much as people imagine.

At most, it’s about providing so accommodation and travel expenses, and then giving the champion tens of thousands in prize money.

If it’s an in-state event, it doesn’t even have to cover travel expenses; people can entirely co at their own cost.

He wanted to make it a bit better; naturally, he would have to gamble and spend a bit, with hundreds of thousands, he could host a very substantial competition. His hobby required a lot of money; he also wanted to upgrade the scale of the various events he hosted.

Lynch didn’t give him a definite answer, "This isn’t a hundred percent business. I can ensure you can get a lot of returns, but how much you get, that’s up to you."

"I’ll tell you how things will develop, when you should get involved, and when you should exit. I won’t decide for you, but I will remind you."

"This is a gamble!"

Count Kazriel had begun to gain so insight, "Is it related to financial operations?"

Lynch nodded, "Yes, if you want to know more, we need to sign a confidentiality agreent; only then can I disclose more detailed content to you."

Count Kazriel jokingly said, "You could actually tell now; a confidentiality agreent might not really keep soone who wants to talk from opening their mouth."

"My people can, I have more than ten thousand fully ard employees under my command. Please forgive for being a bit blunt; these people are enough to launch a targeted war, what do you think?"

Count Kazriel froze for a mont, then fell silent. He nodded, "I’m very interested, when do we sign the agreent?"

Lynch had brought his words to this point, which also ant he was serious.

He was just signing an agreent, not necessarily doing it, so why not first listen to what Lynch had to say?

Most people are like that; why not first listen to what others have to say, anyway your attitude won’t easily waver.

But when others start to speak, their attitude wavers.

For example, "I’ll just rub, I won’t go in."

For example, "I won’t move."

For example, "It won’t hurt soon."

There’s a sample for confidentiality agreents, Lynch’s study was full of them. These were his normal preparations; at the necessary mont, he could fill in so key information and use them, and they had legal effect.

After signing the agreent, he talked about his idea, targeting the silver market.

"You must be crazy!" Count Kazriel shook his head repeatedly, "You’re going against the whole world with this!"

"They will kill us!"

When he heard that what Lynch wanted to do was related to the silver market, his whole body got spooked.

This was no different from seeking death; with so many interest groups, in front of them, Lynch couldn’t asure up.

This wasn’t belittling Lynch; it’s just that there were too many of these people!

Individually, they were not a problem, but when they united, their strength was astounding!

"Besides, you can’t shake the whole market, even with us included, we can’t. We can’t muster enough funds to fight against these people; they must have prepared more funds to prevent possible risks!"

Count Kazriel’s words exposed his most genuine thoughts.

It’s not that he didn’t want to do it, but he knew he couldn’t achieve it.

Lynch’s face lit up with a radiant smile like the sunshine; he smiled modestly, "That is not a problem for , Count Kazriel, this is just one part of the entire plan."

"Many ’parts’ form a complete plan; as long as you join in, you’re also a part of it."

"If any issue arises in the project, you can exit at any ti, and I won’t hold you responsible for anything, that’s my promise."

"I can’t guarantee how much you can earn, but I can guarantee that your return will exceed your most unrealistic imagination!"

"Exciting, thrilling wealth!"
