Lynch already had plans to acquire the vast vacant land in the southeast of Sabin City. Ferrari no longer tried to persuade him, as he knew that though Lynch appeared young, he was a young man with strong opinions.
A person like that only needs a single suggestion; too much advice might make them think you do not have good intentions. With Lynch being so deep-minded, Ferrari didn’t bring up these matters again and instead chatted with Lynch about other topics.
Small talk requires soone to start the conversation, after which it just begins to flow aimlessly, going wherever it may lead.
Lynch initiated the conversation by talking about the three major banks’ trading seats ntioned in the newspaper. Ferrari had also read the newspaper in the morning and couldn’t help but sigh at the situation in the capital.
"The financial trading is unprecedentedly prosperous now, with a lot of money that should have gone elsewhere pouring into financial trading. Especially since last year and the beginning of this year, six major banks have repeatedly cut interest rates, causing even many ordinary citizens’ savings to flow into stock and futures trading..."
The stagnation or even recession of economic developnt is not sothing that can beco apparent in a short ti; it has a process. Starting a few years ago, the pace of social developnt began to stabilize and then slow down, until now, a wave of closures is beginning to erge in so small areas.
There is a clear process here. During this process, the President’s Cabinet, centered around the Conservative Party, also formulated so redial plans. Their approach was straightforward: to lower bank saving rates, allowing more money to flow into society, stimulating consumption to reactivate overall economic developnt.
However, the effect... cannot be said to be ineffective. Lower bank rates make ordinary people feel that leaving money in the bank is pointless. Coupled with so legitimate financial companies preying on scattered social funds, the money that should have been used for basic consumption to drive the engine of social economic developnt instead all flowed into the financial market.
With miracle after miracle being reported from within the financial market, more and more citizens seek their investnt brokers to put their money into the securities market.
It must be said that so indeed made money. Or rather, in the face of such a uniquely twisted era bonus, every participant can make money, as long as they are not particularly unlucky.
Even the "little yellow slip" could earn people a lot, and miracles among the common folk drew more and more ordinary citizens’ attention, prompting them to join in.
The more macroeconomic control there is, the more distorted and bizarre the Federation’s economy becos. So far, the President’s Cabinet has no better way to reverse the current situation. They only hope to maintain it, hoping not to encounter significant trouble during the President’s term.
"His Excellency the Mayor’s recent work also relates to these matters. The unemploynt rate in Sabin City is getting higher. Last week, five more factories announced bankruptcies, and our unemploynt rate has surpassed fifteen percent, which is a very dangerous number!"
A severe expression appeared on Ferrari’s face. A fifteen percent unemploynt rate ans that out of the eighty thousand people living in Sabin City, not counting the retired elderly and children still in school, about forty thousand people or so, six thousand are without work.
These six thousand people will affect at least one family and up to three families’ livelihoods, aning that about twenty thousand or possibly more people in Sabin City are currently troubled by unemploynt.
Moreover, this figure is continuously rising. Ferrari’s aides and other mayoral staff believe that the unemploynt rate in Sabin City might exceed twenty percent by the end of this year.
So may think that a twenty percent unemploynt rate still ans an eighty percent employnt rate, but this data is not simply what it seems.
The core revolves around employnt positions in Sabin City. When all jobs that can be filled are filled, the rest of the people can’t find work, with no chance at all.
Moreover, the jobs that provide wages are continuously shrinking with the wave of closures.
So when Lynch proposed that he could provide even just five hundred jobs, the Mayor supported his plan.
In such tis of impending major changes, nothing reassures people more than a job position that can ensure a family doesn’t starve.
Through chatting with Ferrari, Lynch actually felt another thing. Ferrari, including the Mayor and even the Progressive Party, are well aware of the issues the Federation is facing, and they clearly understand the changes happening in this country.
This also piqued Lynch’s curiosity. "Don’t you have any response strategies? I an on a higher level?"
Even at this stage today, though so things can’t be reversed, there are still ways to reduce so losses, yet he didn’t see such asures taking place.
On newspapers and television, those politicians continue to boast that the Bail Federal’s era bonus is far from over, as if they can’t see the despair on the faces of the unemployed standing by the roadside waiting for work.
They are still boasting that this is a wonderful era. Those large posters with golden teeth by the roadside have ironically beco one of the most satirical phenona under the farcical tis.
No one presses the pause button, watching Bail Federal’s train crash into the abyss!
Ferrari cracked a smile, "You know, the ruling party now is the Conservative Party... "
That one sentence is enough to explain many substantive things. Ferrari didn’t expect Lynch to understand, yet Lynch nodded solemnly, which instead gave Ferrari a deeper understanding of Lynch.
"He not only has a strong comrcial talent but also a deep understanding of political issues!" Ferrari once said such words during an interview, and the thought behind this statent was conceived today.
Lynch’s lips slightly parted, "Political strife, I thought our country wasn’t like those others."
Ferrari wasn’t sure how to respond to this but could only helplessly say, "Everyone is the sa."
The Progressive Party clearly has ideas different from the current ruling party, but the ruling party would not agree to the asures proposed by the Progressive Party. If these asures succeed, it would only prove the Conservative Party’s foolishness and that the Progressive Party is right and smarter, causing them to lose their voters.
If these asures fail, it would still make the public think the Conservative Party’s top officials are fools for not discerning the effectiveness of so asures and making impulsive decisions, making them seem dumb as pigs and still lose their voters.
Little by little today, little by little tomorrow, eventually they’ll lose everything.
So whether good or bad, ultimately, they’ll lose face. To ensure the correctness and face of the party, the Conservative Party continuously rejected the Progressive Party’s "views" in both houses, considering them immature.
At the sa ti, they boast that it was the Conservative Party that led the Bail Federal to prosperity. If now they suddenly announce that the country might face a huge crisis, it would be like slapping themselves in the face, not only painful but loud and embarrassing.
Political competition can be frightening at tis. After pondering for a mont, Ferrari revealed another piece of news, "The Conservative Party plans to concede during the next election cycle and intends to give up this chance."
The problem has gotten so severe that the Conservative Party has already served a term and would give up this election to avoid making mistakes.
If the Federation really collapses during the term, the President’s Cabinet, including the President himself, might face resignation or impeachnt. The public would question the party’s capability due to the loss of jobs, and people would no longer easily believe that this party can lead them out of difficulties. Instead, they would miss the Conservative Party that led everyone to prosperity.
Should things really develop to this stage, the newly inaugurated Progressive Party President’s Cabinet might face impeachnt, and then the public might petition for the Conservative Party to re-erge in tis of crisis once more.
This ti, even if they don’t perform well, it won’t matter because a dumber party previously existed. The Conservative Party’s retreating for advancent is sotis quite a headache.
At this point, both sighed, with Ferrari worried about the Progressive Party’s future developnt situation, while Lynch... was feeling a happy sigh for the upcoming busyness he anticipated.
According to the plan, Mr. Mayor should have returned by noon, but it was clear he was delayed. After Lynch and Ferrari had lunch outside City Hall, they still had no news. Lynch directly entrusted Ferrari to discuss the land deal with the mayor while he proceeded to Sabin City’s car sales center.
He now needed a car. Sotis he could rent a car from the community service company where he lived or borrow a car from soone else, but it was sowhat inconvenient.
He understood the feeling of being asked to lend a car to others, so he planned to buy one.
The car sales center in Sabin City wasn’t like the "Automobile City" in another world, where each car brand has its own exclusive store. Here, there were only two sales centers, one selling industrial vehicles and the other selling civilian vehicles.
Upon entering the massive sales center, Lynch actually felt a hint of coolness in this midsumr. The spacious sales center had few people, with gusts of cool wind blowing from one end to the other, giving a sense of desolation.
His footsteps startled the sales manager who was dozing off, and soon a lady who appeared to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old approached, "Sir, are you looking to buy a car?"
