In this city, there was no blaring sound of electrical appliances, no roaring sound of factories running, no countless cars driving back and forth with their tire noises and engine sounds on the roads; everything was so quiet.

And it was precisely this silence that made the gunshot sound even louder, echoing from afar.

The Nagariel people outside the container, who were smashing and prying, suddenly seed to be paused, so who were watching the commotion shrank their heads and ran further away to watch.

Lynch inserted the pistol into the gun holster by the Senior Soldier’s ribs and simply instructed, "Control these people..."

The Senior Soldier made a gesture, and several soldiers ran over from the truck, then approached those leading the disturbance.

With a dozen guns pointed at them, even if these Nagariel people weren’t well-educated, they knew very well the result of that bullet, smaller than a pinky, landing on them. They didn’t even dare to escape, standing there foolishly.

The Police Station Director tugged at the corner of his mouth, keeping his head down, standing humbly behind Lynch, wanting to explain.

Before he could explain, he was interrupted by Lynch’s actions, "Mr. Lynch..."

Lynch ignored him, raising a hand, which scared the Police Station Director into quickly stepping aside, thinking Lynch might hit him.

In that instant when Lynch raised his hand, he even had a bit of anticipation, hoping Lynch would indeed slap him on the face!

It’s not that he has any special preference; purely because if Lynch really slapped him, all the mistakes he made in this incident would be dispelled by that slap.

After all, if Lynch had already "punished" him, he wouldn’t need to bear any more responsibility, the rest would be others’ responsibilities!

Retreating, bowing, and dodging were just instinctive actions, of course, there was also so hesitancy involved. Being slapped in the face by a foreigner in front of his subordinates, even if that foreigner was overwhelmingly powerful, people wouldn’t say foreigners were domineering, they would only say this Police Station Director had no backbone.

This world is so cruel, outer leniency and inner rigor are always the double standards people are best at.

But unfortunately, Lynch didn’t intend to slap him. He just raised his hand, then took out a cigarette from his pocket, held it in his mouth, and lit it.

This simple action again made the Police Station Director’s words choke back, not only unable to continue, even starting again proved difficult.

He stood awkwardly on the side, unable to leave, nor stay.

The people by the container were already under control, the Senior Soldier also opened the container, and Nell with a blood-covered head walked out from it, the Police Station Director beside him knew things were troubleso.

Nell being Lynch’s father was sothing he actually didn’t know, if he did, this wouldn’t have happened.

Nell wasn’t soone pompous, who liked to flaunt this identity, he had fairly normal values, unlike a certain short-tempered gentleman who, to let others know who his son was, even erected a few statues at the entrance of the town he lived in.

The statues included him, his remarkable son, and to let people know who he was, he had the stonemason carve "Durin" on the young man’s statue base and "This is Durin’s father" on his own statue base.

This gentleman was perhaps a little eccentric but very interesting, but Nell wasn’t; he just beca sowhat lancholic and uneasy after getting wealthy, a normal person still unaccustod to the present life, he never went around spreading that Lynch was his son, only seeing himself as an ordinary person.

At this mont, he walked out of the container holding his head, looked around, and walked over to Lynch with a sheepish smile, looking a bit embarrassed, or perhaps guilty, "Sorry, I ssed up."

Lynch had reminded him, he didn’t realize things were actually even more serious than he imagined, and the reactions of these people were so intense.

It’s not hard to bla him, Nell was still too kind; he might not even know why this happened till now.

Lynch could see through it, actually, these girls, and those they called brothers around them, were for the identity of a man in the camp.

It might sound vague like this, so let’s put it more simply: Lynch once was fortunate enough to visit Paradise Town, which was a place constantly overlooked by so deity, in the tropics where people’s enthusiasm was as overwhelming as the weather.

In Paradise Town, just revealing one’s identity as a foreigner would instantly attract all kinds of girls, who were out of reach in their own country, who would make you feel comfortable enough to really think of it as paradise.

But in reality, it wasn’t; for foreigners, it might be paradise, whether male or female, as long as single, with endless encounters every day, making it hard to leave.

But for the locals of Paradise Town, it was hell.

They, especially the won, humbly pleasing every foreigner, hoped that during the best stage of their lives, soone would look down at their humility, and when leaving Paradise Town, buy them an extra ticket.

They wanted to leave, just like the uneasy girl in front of Lynch, and those young people beside her, they also wanted to leave.

But they couldn’t leave, not because the Nagariel governnt wouldn’t allow them to, but because they couldn’t afford even a one-way ticket to leave Nagariel.

For so young people with aspirations, this place is hell, even though for the foreigners who co here, it’s paradise.

These young Nagariel people can’t find suitable, long-term jobs, and the monopoly of resources in all aspects to the monopoly of goods leaves them with no opportunities to develop themselves.

Without formal education, unable to change themselves, and with society not giving them chances, they eventually beco like those seen everywhere on the streets, watching the years slip away, wasting ti, never rising again, turning into decayed wood.

The n have to plant sothing to keep themselves and their families from starving; the won might need to beco prostitutes in secret to make ends et. What they receive in return might not even be money; it could be so daily necessities, so food, and possibly diseases.

In a dead society, people can only decay in despair, hoping to be reborn into a better life next ti.

Until a group of foreigners appeared, that was their chance. As long as they could catch one of them, they could escape.

Once they left here, more people could leave!

If soone asked them what hope was, they might not understand the word, but now they knew, hope was those increasingly nurous foreigners!

These people were actually pitiable, Lynch could understand, and he knew them, so he wanted to laugh.

"Do you need to call a doctor?" Lynch asked.

Nell first nodded, but then shook his head. Actually, the cut on his head had stopped bleeding, and calling a doctor now would make those under his command laugh at him.

He wasn’t a graduate from a prestigious university who started working behind a desk in an office; he was just a worker. Getting injured was commonplace for workers at this ti.

"More than a doctor, I need a cigarette."

Lynch lit a cigarette for him, exhaling slowly, "Who caused this trouble?"

Nell waved over the timid young man. The sudden conflict had scared this inexperienced young man.

Before the young man arrived, Nell asked Lynch, "What do you plan to do?"

Lynch laughed, "Help him start a family here!"

Nell looked at him bewildered, "But he’s already married with a wife and children."

Lynch sneered, "But he can’t control his...!"

The young man... well, he was said to be young, but actually, he was a few years older than Lynch, yet he had a very immature vibe.

As soon as he got close to Lynch, Lynch slapped his neck, grabbed his collar, and walked him over to the container area, giving his leg a hard kick.

The young man lost his balance and fell to his knees with a thud, his face turned bright red, but soon went pale.

Many locals were gathered around watching because of the gunshots. People from further away ca to watch, and most unemployed Nagariel people had ti to watch these interesting events.

If there weren’t so many people, solving this matter would be simple, but with so many watching, it beca complicated.

If it’s not handled properly, and the Youth Party causes a stir, it would be another trouble.

Lynch ca to Nagariel to make money, not to solve these trivial matters. Everyone and everything must make way for him making money; only if it doesn’t affect his earnings might he linger a mont, but just a mont.

After looking around, he waved to the trembling girl, who hesitated long, then mustered the courage to stop at a distance from Lynch.

She dared not look at Lynch, instead staring down at the young man.

"I’ve heard about how it began, the process, and now the result I see..." Lynch’s voice carried far, and those who often held etings knew how to make their voices travel farther; it’s a vocal technique.

The whole camp and the surrounding area only had the sound of wind, countless eyes on him, "I’m a fair person, soone who reasons. I never take sides."

"I now give this young lady and this young man a choice, a fair choice."

Lynch looked down at the young man, "No matter how the relationship between you started, ending it now won’t be that easy."

"Leave an arm, or a testicle, to atone for your sins." Lynch flicked his cigarette butt away, "Or you can choose to marry this girl..."
