Looking at himself in the mirror, Richard nodded in satisfaction.

He wouldn’t call himself handso, but there was a certain quality about him that few others had; he could make people unknowingly quiet down and patiently listen to him finish talking.

He was also very smart, knowing how to maintain relationships with clients in the simplest and most direct way. If necessary, and if his client was a female human, he could maintain the relationship through deep communication.

He was soone who could discard all thoughts and moral burdens for money, but he took sothing that didn’t belong to him, so he accepted Lynch’s judgnt.

He would be expelled; if Lynch announced his deeds to society, almost all big companies wouldn’t hire him. He could only linger at the bottom.

Fortunately, Lynch didn’t do that and gave him a chance to realize his self-worth.

Over the past year or so, he had been revolving around the core Lynch gave him for research. Now he already had a roughly complete theory to execute his plan. He was excited because he was about to embark on this journey of wealth.

He was also a bit panicked because his stage was no longer the Federation, but Gafura.

Yet, it was indeed a great opportunity to achieve his life goals. He had calculated this; as long as he was given a year, and as long as he wasn’t caught during this year, he could retire.

He would acquire billions in wealth, and in Fla, he would beco one of the richest people in the world...

The upcoming days would be spent lying atop countless money, living carefree; his life was ant to be so splendid!

For the last ti, he closed the mirror on the basin—it was on the back of a cabinet door that could open, done to save space.

Since those matters of his were discovered by Lynch, he had tried every ans to refill the money taken from Lynch’s pocket, which also made his current life a bit strained.

But these are temporary; they will soon get better.

He looked down at his attire once more, then put on exquisite clothes, took a briefcase, and boarded a company car to the port.

Soone was already waiting for him there. It wasn’t just him dreaming of one day becoming soone prominent; several of his subordinates also shared this dream and were willing to go to Gafura to forge a future.

After successfully checking the ticket, he boarded the passenger ship heading to Gafura, standing on the deck, watching the Federation grow farther away, seemingly bidding farewell to the past.

The sea breeze was cold, further making him understand a truth—people cannot be without money!

...

The half-month sea voyage was extrely boring. Lynch suddenly felt he should invest so money with those researching airplanes; traveling by ship was too slow. He had already wasted two months of his life on dull, boring voyages, and there would be more ti in the future; it wasn’t fair.

Life is precious and shouldn’t be wasted!

Lynch arrived in Gafura two days earlier than the Federation delegation. Just entering spring, the climate was pleasant, and the sea area was not as multidinsional as it would be in sumr, allowing them, after twelve days of sailing, to arrive at Gafura.

Stepping onto Gafura’s land, Lynch took a deep breath, a scent different from the Federation’s sweet freedom and Nagariel’s slly vegetation—it was the sll of decay.

"Their ruling class must live a very extravagant life." Lynch looked down at the tiles underfoot, unable to hold back a sigh.

Whether it was the Federation or the developing Nagariel or so other countries, the tiles laid in places like ports or stations were usually the sturdy kind since there were many people and vehicles in these areas; even the most elaborate tiles would wear out in a month.

But here, the tiles under Lynch’s feet were very new.

They likely repaved the tiles specifically to welco the Federation delegation, or perhaps they just anticipated their paving plan.

The brand-new tiles and the clear patterns on them carved out a scene on the port ground.

If observed from above, one could see the Imperial Palace beneath the rising sun, along with the statues outside the palace, and at the very bottom, the words "Long live the Emperor His Majesty."

Lynch sighed and then looked elsewhere; outside the port, people wore a kind of... he didn’t know how to describe it, not so fashionable, giving a sowhat rigid feeling, yet supported by a special aura.

Not annoying, sowhat serious.

The Gafura people were all proud; even when they hurried past here, if anyone looked at Lynch and his people, they wouldn’t turn their heads entirely; they just moved their eyes, trying to see as much as possible with the corners of their eyes, giving an impression of being sowhat overly "upright."

"We’re going to stay here for two days, I’m already looking forward to the life here!" Lynch liked this kind of unique thing; he had a strong sense of curiosity and desire to explore, sothing every girl who had gotten along with him knew.

They found a decent hotel near the port, and after a brief rest, Lynch energetically began browsing the nearby streets.

The assistant didn’t follow him this ti, she was exhausted after the sea voyage; she had to give Lynch daily massages and there was nothing entertaining at sea, what she needs now is a rest.

Lynch and the Senior Soldier left the hotel room and stepped out onto the street.

Their clothes were different from the locals, attracting so glances from here and there.

The Senior Soldier didn’t carry firearms; he was a security consultant for a private company and hadn’t legally obtained the right to carry guns in the Gafura Empire, just carrying so simple self-defense weapons.

At this mont, he was holding a map, looking at the eye-dazzling cursive script and designs on it for the first ti thinking he might be an idiot, as he was unable to comprehend the map.

This statent is a bit exaggerated; he actually just couldn’t understand those frizzled cursive scripts, and eventually couldn’t offer Lynch any constructive suggestions, leaving Lynch with the choice.

Lynch’s choice was simple: he got into a taxi with the Senior Soldier and handed the driver ten Fla, which he had just exchanged at the hotel, "We’re tourists looking for fun, take us to exciting places."

The driver, satisfied with the money in his hand, slamd the accelerator to the floor.

Two minutes later, they were dropped at the most bustling area of this port city—standing there, Lynch could even see the window of his hotel room!

"I feel like we’ve been deceived," the Senior Soldier stated uncertainly, "The straight distance from the hotel entrance to here doesn’t exceed two hundred ters, that scoundrel just drove us around here!"

The Senior Soldier felt a bit embarrassed, thinking this might affect his standing in Lynch’s eyes, although Lynch didn’t really mind.

If they hadn’t spent those ten Fla, they might have wandered elsewhere aimlessly, but having spent them saved a lot of ti.

"Follow on!" Lynch said no more and turned toward a lane behind him, everything in this lane was different from elsewhere.

The so-called lane is actually a street, but unlike the outer streets, its ground was not asphalt or concrete, but blocks of bricks, giving it a historical feeling.

No cars were on the street, only so rickshaws, and on both sides were various neon signs.

It was still sowhat early, but people had already started appearing here.

As Gafura’s largest and most important eastern port, many warships had docked here once.

Compared to those unreliable army weaklings, the Navy was truly Gafura’s pride.

The Navy executed military missions abroad for a long ti before docking once, and after a brief repair had to leave again for offshore battles. Plus, Gafura didn’t prohibit solicitation and services exclusive to adults, making this place the largest local entertainnt hub.

On both sides of the road were many display windows, sitting inside were various girls lacking a significant amount of clothing. Wrists or necks adorned with collars or wristbands, marked with numbers and prices.

They were displayed like rchandise, anyone with enough money, be it a beggar or a vagabond, could buy the pleasure they desired here.

Lynch led the Senior Soldier to a seemingly large-scale bar, they ca here to relax, no embarrassnt in doing this.

This was a normal bar, with an independent entrance resembling a small window reinforced like a rural savings bank, inside a receptionist, considering herself male and bare-chested, but actually female.

She tapped the window, "Need change, gentlen?"

Lynch couldn’t help laughing, turning his head and saying to the Senior Soldier, "Just like the Federation here."

Such exchange service exists in formal bars in the Federation too, exchanging change aid at better encouraging dancers to showcase their elegant dance moves.

Lynch exchanged a wad of two hundred one-Fla bills, besides this, the receptionist who considers herself male but is actually female also gave Lynch a small piece of paper containing a phone number for no apparent reason.

The little paper whose significance Lynch couldn’t discern was casually thrown into the trash, and he and the Senior Soldier entered the bar’s main area.

The entire bar housed six large stages, beside the stages were individual bars, vast in size.

Although it wasn’t yet the formal operating period, a dedicated dancer had already begun warming up.

Even if very few were watching, she danced gracefully to the music, rging art and beauty for the sparse guests.

Moved by her dedication, Lynch took out several bills and waved them in his hand.

The exceptional dancer pranced like a cat landing in front of Lynch, allowing him to pin those bills under a string.

Looking at the girl, Lynch couldn’t help but reflect; there’s exploitation everywhere in the world, a girl unable even to afford clothes, thinking of her plight is heart-wrenching.
