"We need so girls to help us with public relations."
At the board eting, the company’s directors held a closed-door session, including the three top brokers who were also present.
Fox Film Corporation is just one step away from going public, they have been planning for a long ti, it’s only a step away now.
A blockbuster film, and getting so people from the Financial Supervisory Commission to write their nas on the approval docunts.
But getting those people from the Financial Supervisory Commission to sign the approval docunts is not an easy task, they have long been accustod to gaining enough benefits during this signing process.
Original shares, large purchases before listing, all kinds of under-the-table operations.
The person responsible for pushing the company public is young Fox, in the situation where old Fox’s influence has drastically declined, he must stand up and hold the ground himself.
If he can complete his mission, then at least for three to five years, the board and shareholders will respect him as well as his opinions.
If he can’t, then the board will quickly consider letting him hand over his power.
The world of capital never has any warmth to speak of, capitalists even found a very fitting reason for their cold-bloodedness—"business is business, private matters are private, we cannot mix them."
But when they need to do sothing favorable for themselves, they’ll say—"Hey, even a Judge talks about personal feelings, you won’t deny this little favor, right?"
If young Fox cannot prove his value, he is bound to be kicked out.
He now appears more mature and poised than ever before, sitting in the president’s chair, he also has a certain deanor.
"Transferring benefits isn’t just about money, it’s about pleasures."
"We need to create a batch of mid-range stars with certain social notoriety, young, pretty, controllable."
"These girls will solve a lot of troubles for us, many things that money can’t solve, they can."
"In this world, there are two things that no one can ignore, one is a box filled with money and the other is entering a piece of xxxxxxx."
The male mbers of the board couldn’t help laughing, the expressions of the ladies weren’t too pleasant, apparently, this unknown phrase is an insult to won.
But none of the female board mbers stood up against this notion, in this still male-dominated society, it’s not easy for won to climb up high.
They want to stabilize their power, want to keep an upward trend, they must regard themselves as n.
This is much like Bentley’s sissies, who transform themselves into a gay image to better fit into the fashion circle.
In the capital circle, won have to imagine themselves as n, wearing neutral clothes, speaking neutral words, sotis even jokingly using their own body structure.
They loathe all of this imnsely, yet have no good way to change it.
"But this requires a long ti, and our investnt won’t be small," said a sowhat skeptical board mber.
In his view, a problem unsolvable by money isn’t really unsolvable by money, but money hasn’t been given adequately.
Young Fox took out a silk scarf from his pocket, took off the glasses from his nose bridge, and wiped the Crystal lenses.
While wiping, he said, "Once Wealth is given to others, ownership shifts, that money belongs to others."
As he spoke, he lifted his head, the young Fox, now without glasses, showed so changes on his face, the originally sowhat easy-going aura beca more firm in his facial features, "But those girls, they will always be the company’s assets!"
Upon hearing this, the questioning board mbers closed their mouths.
Using money to bribe... no, it’s using Wealth to move an approval officer, this batch of money would disappear from the company’s accounts.
But sending even one or a hundred girls to passionately move an approval officer, after success those girls will co back.
It’s a very simple calculation, one is one-ti, the other can be reused, and if so girls perform better, their status in the film industry will rise, their value will increase.
"I have no objections, Mr. President."
Young Fox nodded, put his glasses back on, along with returning the silk scarf to his pocket.
Since old Fox stepped in until now this past year, he has experienced the darkest ti in his life.
Surrounded by capitalists drooling and eyeing to swallow him whole, if not for Lynch standing by his side, he might have faced trouble no smaller than that of old Fox.
Fortunately, Lynch is reliable.
In such a complex environnt, he grew rapidly, already showing early signs of maturity.
"By the end of this year, Fox Film Corporation will go public. Gentlen, if I can’t achieve this, I will resign from the presidency."
Board mbers imdiately began to persuade, saying all sorts of nonsense like how under Mr. Fox’s leadership, the company has achieved unprecedented glory, as if without Mr. Fox, the company would instantly plumt to the bottom.
But such words shouldn’t be taken seriously, for these people have never said them with sincerity; they are just joining in the fun, spouting shaless nonsense.
If there’s ever a chance to kick Mr. Fox out, they would anticipate that day more eagerly than anyone else.
No non-privately held company ever wishes to see the founder sitting in the president’s chair with a large amount of stock!
The female broker sitting at the end pursed her lips with a sour expression. The board obviously treats the newly recruited girls as tools.
And all of this was inspired by Nelly’s experience.
Lynch accepted the "bribe," stabilizing Mr. Fox’s position like never before, and now he plans to use these tools even more.
However, this seems destined to give the girls a tragic youth, struggling between desires, money, and fa, unable to break free.
The next morning, the business delegation from Gafura arrived in Laridemo.
"From the mont I stepped off the train, I felt a sensation I’ve never felt before!" exclaid the young Count as he took a deep breath. The temperature was quite pleasant around twenty-four or five degrees, as long as you weren’t exposed wearing spring or fall clothes or even winter attire under the sun, you wouldn’t feel too hot.
On the streets, one could see people in bizarre costus everywhere, as if... arriving in an indescribably strange place.
Scenery and architecture from different tis and spaces constantly alternated, making Laridemo truly a city filled with charm, where one could easily lose themselves.
One mont you might be in the west of the Federation, where the ground was a mix of mud and horse dung, and cowboy pants covered with stinky stuff.
The roadside saloon suddenly erupted with bursts of gunfire, and then an unfortunate fellow stumbled out, face down into a pile of dung.
The next mont, flying saucers were being hoisted down by cables, actors dressed in aluminum foil clothes, with two wires on their heads pretending to be aliens, making funny facial expressions, claiming to invade Blue Star.
All of this makes those visiting here for the first ti fall in love with the place.
"This place is much more interesting than I imagined," said the young Count, like a country bumpkin finding everything fascinating.
Lynch followed behind, finding all of this to be... sowhat ordinary.
He had seen more grandiose film bases, so these here were less impressive.
Before long, the group was wandering around until they finally arrived at Fox Film Corporation.
Mr. Fox, along with several board mbers, greeted Lynch at the entrance, with Nelly accompanying them.
"Mr. Lynch..." Seeing Lynch, Mr. Fox quickly ca out with a big smile.
Lynch shook his hand and said with a smile, "I’m not the star today, the one by my side is."
He then introduced the young Count’s identity and status and roughly the wealth he possessed, which made Mr. Fox slightly breathless.
These Gafura aristocrats are indeed wealthy!
Of course, he didn’t realize that until not long ago, the young Count wasn’t so wealthy—relatively speaking, by casually selling any antique or famous painting, it would fetch a good sum.
From this perspective, Mr. Fox was right; these aristocrats are truly damn rich!
After a brief introduction, the group entered the company, with the young Count walking alongside Lynch, nudging him with his elbow, "Is that your girlfriend? Her expression towards you isn’t quite normal!"
The young Count was still quite young, and it was already challenging for soone his age to occasionally act seriously; mostly, it was about curiosity and exploration of the world.
Lynch glanced at Nelly, who was walking beside, and spoke softly, "It’s a little gift from Mr. President. If you want, I can have them prepare one for you."
The young Count hesitated for a mont but finally shook his head, "No need, I don’t want to return next ti to find I already have a child who can call dad."
Lynch couldn’t help but burst into laughter, "They love your money more than their desire for love, so you really don’t have to worry."
In the end, the young Count did not find a star girlfriend, which disappointed Mr. Fox.
They got a glimpse of how the Federation develops films from conception to release, and roughly understood the investnt and returns of a movie.
The burgeoning Federation film industry greatly enticed the young Count and his companions, seeing the risk being relatively low, and also considering the area as an escape route.
Who knows to what extent the political struggles in Gafura Main Island might develop? If a systemic change does occur, getting caught up in it might lead to complete ruin. These new-generation young aristocrats must be prepared!
