(TL:as author said before, they will make a recap volu around 2-3 chapter about previous tiline, and so I combined two volu into one)
The girl nad Tobiichi Origami had probably beco "special" five years ago.
She had always been smarter than other children. Her grades and athletic ability were excellent too, but still within the normal range. It was the kind of excellence that made her mother proud during parent-teacher etings and three-way conferences.
Her best subject was math. Her weakest subject was Japanese.
Her favorite food was baked cheese gratin. Her least favorite food was celery.
Her dream for the future was—to beco a cute bride.
The world existed within common sense. No one doubted that. As long as she did what she could within her own ability, her friends and the adults around her would praise her. She had never been especially aware of it, but she had truly believed that such a gentle world would continue forever.
However, during that sumr five years ago, a disaster changed everything around Origami.
That day, what greeted Origami when she returned to the city was not the familiar scenery she knew, but a hellish sight swallowed by raging flas.
[Papa, Mama...]
Origami thought of her parents, who should have been at ho, and ran toward the burning street.
Looking back on it now, it had been a reckless thing to do. Even if Origami had returned ho, there was nothing she could have done there. However, at that ti, Origami's mind was filled only with the need to confirm her parents' safety. She had no room to think about anything else.
Before long, Origami returned ho and saw her father supporting her mother by the shoulder as they staggered outside.
At that mont, Origami could not help feeling relieved. Papa and Mama were both alive. Filled with overwhelming joy, Origami reached out her hand, tears streaming down her face, trying to take her father's hand.
But, at that very instant—
[...Eh?]
Sothing like a pillar of light suddenly fell from the sky and easily blew Origami's body away.
And her parents, who had been standing beneath that pillar of light—sothing she could hardly believe had once held a human shape—were now reduced to tiny fragnts.
"Ah, ah... ah... aaaaaah..."
Origami could not stop the cry from rising deep in her throat. She lifted her head toward the sky, and there she saw the figure of a glowing girl.
[It was you... You... killed... my father and mother... I will never forgive you... I'll kill you... I'll kill you! I'll definitely—kill you with my own hands!]
Filled with hatred, she swore revenge.
That was Origami's encounter with a Spirit. The beginning of a long fate.
From that day onward, Origami changed.
Because she had no other relatives, Origami was temporarily taken in by an aunt who lived nearby. However, the fact that this aunt had once been connected to the AST had a major influence on Origami's future life.
After warning Origami not to tell anyone about it, her aunt told her about a certain existence.
Spirits. Disasters that killed the world.
After that, Origami began studying and training her body with an almost abnormal level of diligence.
There was only one reason. The Spirit she had seen that day. Origami would uncover the truth behind her and kill her with her own hands.
For young Origami, she did not know the specific thod to kill that Spirit. Therefore—she continued to desperately train herself. So that soday, when she found the enemy who killed her parents, she could imdiately take action.
Her best subjects beca all of them. She had no weak subjects. She turned every piece of knowledge and every skill she could acquire into her own, crushing the word "impossible" completely.
From that day on, she stopped caring about likes and dislikes in food. She simply absorbed nutrients that could build a stronger body, ignoring everything else.
Her dream for the future—also beca killing that Spirit.
Several years passed after that. Through her aunt's introduction, Origami entered the AST. After her compatibility with Realizers was recognized, she beca a Wizard.
As an AST mber, Origami beca even stricter and more intense with her training.
However—even for that kind of Origami, there were monts that brought her comfort.
Yes. It was the boy she had t back then.
If one had to describe it, that feeling was probably closer to dependence than love.
After losing her parents, Origami was barely able to maintain herself through contact with him.
That was why—even now, even when she was being hunted by the AST because of matters related to him, she felt not the slightest resentnt toward him.
However, at the sa ti, Origami also felt her own limits.
The AST, an organization that was supposed to defeat Spirits. The Realizers, which gave humans power that surpassed common sense. Even with those, she still could not defeat Spirits.
And so, Origami sought even greater power.
When Tengu City faced the possibility of being destroyed by falling satellites, Origami accepted Ellen's invitation and joined DEM, the company that created Realizers. There, she obtained top tier equipnt—Mordred.
Then Origami stepped onto the path of revenge. Now possessing power great enough to stand against Spirits, she once again pointed her blade at Yatogami Tohka, Kaguya, Yuzuru, and Miku.
Reality was far crueler than Origami had imagined. Even after obtaining the finest equipnt, when facing Yatogami Tohka, who had regained all her spiritual power to protect everyone, Origami could not even manage an equal fight. After a brief clash, the burden on her brain from controlling the Realizer reached its limit.
[Hey, do you want power?]
Origami, who had been blown away by Tohka, lay in the ruins of a building and encountered an existence that looked like it was covered in mosaic.
After answering that question and reaching out to touch the glowing jewel—she obtained, for the first ti, power great enough to rival a Spirit.
The price was—that Tobiichi Origami herself beca a Spirit.
After that, her battle with Tohka beca a true fight to the death. Just as the two of them were about to unleash their Angels's strongest attacks at each other...
[—Stoooooooop!]
A cry stopped the two of them.
[!!!]
Not wanting that boy to see her like this, Origami stopped the battle and fled the scene at high speed.
As she flew through the sky, she thought about the Spirits. Origami suddenly realized that perhaps, with the power of a certain Spirit, she could undo everything from five years ago.
And that Spirit was—Tokisaki Kurumi. Kurumi confird her guess. As the Spirit of Ti, Kurumi did indeed have the ability to send people into the past. And so, with Kurumi's help, Origami used Yud Bet to travel back in ti, returning to five years ago in an attempt to change everything.
There, she discovered that besides Efreet, there was another Spirit present, one so covered in mosaic that it was impossible to identify.
"I found you. I found you. I found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you found you. —I finally found you."
Origami poured her fury onto Phantom. Even so, the full-power attack she unleashed failed to kill the other party.
[Goodbye. I'll be taking my leave for now. For today, my objective has been achieved for the ti being. I had wanted to see more of your strength... but staying here any longer probably won't lead to anything good.]
The beam from the Angel tore through Phantom's disguise, and the previously indistinct voice changed into the tone of a woman. After saying those words, Phantom soon disappeared.
For Origami, although she had failed to avenge her parents, she had achieved her greatest goal—yes, since Phantom had disappeared, that ant the Spirit who killed Origami's parents was no longer here. In that case...
[!!!]
When she turned her gaze toward the front of her house, what she saw was a completely destroyed asphalt road. It looked as if a pillar of light had shot down from the sky and left that mark behind.
And in the center of that scar of destruction, her parents, whom she had longed for so deeply, had been scattered into countless pieces of flesh and fragnts of bone.
Yes. It was exactly—directly beneath the beam of light Origami had just fired at Phantom.
In that instant, Origami understood the cruel truth.
The Spirit who had killed her parents five years ago was none other than herself—Tobiichi Origami, who had beco a Spirit five years later, borrowed Kurumi's power to return to the past, and tried to change everything.
Original Author's Note:This volu is only ant to explain the so-called first loop for readers who have not read the novel, as well as what happened in that tiline. Part of the original text is quoted, and there won't be too many chapters. I'll try to explain what happened in the first loop within two or three chapters.
