Rewinding the ti to a few minutes ago, right before Mikoto made her phone call, Shido was in the middle of a desperate, life-or-death double date crisis.
Around noon, following Kotori's request, Shido went to the Physics Prep Room. There, he watched the footage of Mana slicing off Kurumi's head yesterday afternoon. His own little sister was an AST mber, and Kurumi, who should have been dead, had casually shown up for class today. The completely surreal scene left his brain in total chaos.
Even though he didn't know how she ca back to life, there was no guarantee Kurumi would revive the next ti she got killed. To prevent Mana from striking again, he had to schedule a date imdiately. So, that afternoon, Shido asked Kurumi out on a date for tomorrow, and she happily agreed.

Perhaps because she had been left alone during lunch for two days in a row, under the instigation of soone unknown, Tohka clamped a pair of aquarium tickets between her breasts, struck a female panther pose, and looked completely ready to push him down if he refused. 10:00 AM: Date with Tohka. Location: Winter Palace Aquarium.
10:30 AM: Date with Kurumi. Location: Tengu Station ticket gates.
11:00 AM: Date with Mikoto. Location: Tengu Station plaza.
Unable to cancel a single one, Shido had to face this hellish schedule.
First was Tohka. For the young girl visiting an aquarium for the first ti, everything here was completely new and exciting. The innocent Tohka trotted happily through the aquarium, looking here and there. Seeing her so incredibly happy, even the heavily burdened Shido felt himself getting infected by her joy, and the pressure of his triple date seed to lighten a bit without him noticing.
However, not long after, an alarm rang in his earpiece. It was almost ti to et Kurumi. Shido used a stomachache as an excuse, left Tohka, and used the Fraxinus's teleporter to reach the ticket gates.
Wearing a blouse and skirt with lace frills, and a rose hairband in her flowing hair, Kurumi was waiting there. For so reason, she was still wearing the dical eyepatch over her left eye.(TL:Chunnibyou Kurumi~so it's this version going on a date with Shido huh?)
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
"No, I just arrived as well."
After the polite greetings, Shido looked at Kurumi and, following Kotori's advice, said:
"Umm... those clothes really suit you. The eyepatch too."

Hearing Kurumi's words, both Shido and everyone on the Fraxinus fell completely silent. Even though it sounded exactly like sothing a girl with chuunibyou would say, considering she was a Spirit, there really might be so kind of power hidden in there.

① A lovey-dovey shopping date at a large mall.
② Watch her try on clothes at a won's lingerie shop.
③ Discuss the powers of darkness together at a black magic shop.
"Everyone, select!"
At Kotori's command, the romance masters on the Fraxinus pressed the buttons in their hands.
"You can't let her hold the initiative all the ti. You should pick ② here and give her a completely unexpected twist."
"No, no, it has to be ①. Girls love shopping more than anything."
The first two seed pretty good. Shopping was the safest bet. The only worry was that the nearest large shopping mall was very close to the Tengu Quintet where Tohka was. Feeling that the power of darkness wasn't referring to her Spirit powers, Kotori gave the order into the microphone.
