[What exactly is going on?]

On the rooftop, Shido stared at the scene unfolding before him, completely unable to understand, completely unable to believe it. Because right in front of him—Kurumi had killed Kurumi.

Just a few minutes ago, using his own life as a bargaining chip, Shido had successfully stopped Kurumi's barrier and the spacequake. But the exact mont he successfully convinced Kurumi, an arm pierced straight through her chest from behind. And the owner of that arm... was Tokisaki Kurumi.

He couldn't comprehend it at all. There were two Kurumi, and one had just murdered the other who had already been persuaded.

"This won't do. The '' from this ti period is still far too young and naive."

The dead Kurumi was dragged down into the shadows by countless arms.

"Co now, Shido-san. Let us not waste any more ti."

After disposing of her own corpse, Kurumi commanded the arms in the shadow to grab Shido's legs and walked up to him.

"Your power... I will gladly take it, Shido-san."

She reached out her right hand, aiming to stroke Shido's cheek.

But before Kurumi could make her move, that hand was cleanly severed, rolling onto the ground.

"Ara..."

Kurumi frowned and leaped backward, as if enduring the pain.

"Mana!"

Wearing her CR-Unit, Mana appeared in front of Shido.

"You've fallen into a dangerous situation again, Nii-sama."

Mana turned around, nodding in relief after confirming Shido was unhard.

"Kihihihihihi! You're still as sharp as ever, to slice through my Astral Dress so easily.

However—I am the one existence you can never, ever kill!"

With that, Kurumi tapped the ground with both feet, like keeping a beat.

"Co forth! Co forth! It's your ti to take the stage, Zafkiel!"

Crimson and black lightning flashed behind Kurumi, materializing into a massive clock. The weapons Kurumi frequently used—the long and short flintlock pistols—were the very hour and minute hands of that clock.

"Ahhh, Mana-san, Mana-san. Just for today, please allow to defeat you!"

Standing in front of the giant clock face with her dual guns raised, the Spirit smiled with pure madness and declared.

"Tohka!"

"Mikoto!"

Rushing toward the roof, Mikoto and Tohka ran into each other in the stairwell. The two exchanged a single glance. Without needing any words, that one look conveyed everything they were thinking—Shido is in danger, hurry up and save him!

"Shido!"

"Shido!"

Bursting through the rooftop doors, the sight that greeted them was Shido restrained by shadows, Mana collapsed on the ground, and Kurumi with her Angel fully manifested.

"Tsukuyomi!"

Without wasting ti on greetings, Mikoto instantly deployed her barrier, shielding Shido and Mana inside it.

Bang!

Kurumi's bullet struck the barrier and shattered.

"Still the sa as ever. What a sturdy Angel you have."

Looking at the completely undamaged Tsukuyomi, Kurumi said in displeasure.

"But—Shido-san is the one thing I absolutely will not hand over to you. Zafkiel—Zayin(The Seventh Bullet)!!!"

Shadows flowed from the Roman nural VII on the clock face and loaded into Kurumi's short pistol.

"No! Yakumo-senpai, that's..."

Shido yelled at the top of his lungs. That was the exact sa magic bullet that had defeated Mana earlier—a terrifying bullet that completely stopped the target's ti, leaving them helpless.

Bang!

But before Shido could finish speaking, Kurumi had already pulled the trigger. In truth, even if he had warned her, it wouldn't have mattered. A massive barrier-type Angel was essentially a stationary target; there was no way it could miss.

However...

The magic bullet capable of freezing ti slamd against the dark barrier and shattered, completely indistinguishable from the ordinary Spirit energy bullets she had fired earlier.

"I don't know what you're thinking, but let make one thing clear: if you think Tsukuyomi can only defend against ordinary physical or Spirit energy attacks, you are gravely mistaken."

Mikoto looked at Kurumi with an utterly calm expression. Her so called absolute defense wasn't limited to physical or spiritual strikes; even conceptual effects couldn't breach it in the slightest. Ti stop? Then she just had to reject the ti stop as well.(TL:I REJECT!)

"Just what kind of person are you... 'We'!!!"

For the very first ti, the always-composed Kurumi furrowed her brow at an unexpected developnt. The shadows beneath her feet expanded, and countless Kurumi rose from within them.

"Wh-What in the world is..."

Shido stared in sheer astonishnt. In fact, it wasn't just Shido. Tohka, Mana, and Mikoto also couldn't believe their eyes—multiple Kurumi, every single one of them dual-wielding pistols, aiming directly at the barrier.

"This is my resu. It is '' from different tilines."

Flaunting her power, Kurumi unleashed a storm of attacks against Tsukuyomi.

"I see. Simply put, they're basically clones. No wonder you keep showing up again and again no matter how many tis the AST kills you."

Mikoto frowned as she looked at the countless Kurumi. Although it was still within Tsukuyomi's limits, getting unilaterally bombarded by endless Kurumis was not a viable strategy.

"However, I'm not fighting alone here either."

"What?"

A brilliant purple light flashed. Countless clones were slashed apart in an instant, freezing Kurumi's smug expression.

"I won't let you hurt Shido! If your target is Shido, then you are my enemy—Tokisaki Kurumi!!!"

Wielding Sandalphon, Tohka pointed her massive broadsword at Kurumi and declared.

"Perfect timing. Allow to kill your main body right here and now!"

Mana struggled to her feet and used the shoulder mounts on her CR-Unit to fire a fatal laser directly at Kurumi's true body. Because the Angel only floated behind the original, even surrounded by clones, it wasn't hard to tell which one was the real Kurumi.

"Ara ara. How terrifying, how truly terrifying. In that case, allow to blow all of you away."

Kurumi dodged Mana's attack and raised her hand toward the sky.

Instantly, the spacequake alarm began to wail once more.

"Ugh..."

Mikoto instantly realized what Kurumi was planning. Although a spacequake was nothing to a Spirit, the problem was that Shido and Mana were here. To survive a spacequake, she would have to use Tsukuyomi to protect them. Furthermore...

"Yakumo-senpai, everyone in the school..."

"I know, but..."

Right now, countless unconscious students and staff were lying inside the school building. If a spacequake dropped on them, it would undoubtedly cause a catastrophic massacre. If she hadn't been sealed by Shido, Mikoto could easily expand Tsukuyomi to cover the entire school, but right now, that was impossible.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! This ti, a lot of people will definitely die!!!"

Kurumi laughed maniacally and swung her fist downward. In an instant, the space above the school began to aggressively twist and distort.
