Now reading: Chapter 75 75: Kurumi Shrine (Part 2) from Date a Live:Date Under The Moon, a Action novel by brawslayer.

Although Mikoto felt that Kurumi had not co here to fight, the situation was still moving in a bad direction. Mikoto deployed a partial Astral Dress, then raised a barrier between Shido and Kurumi.

Mikoto had a headache. Kurumi also had a headache. Even if she wanted to devour Shido, she would not choose to do it in front of Yakumo Mikoto, because Mikoto's Angel was the opponent she wanted to avoid the most.

However…

[The truth is, I only ca here to tease the cat… There's no way I can say that now.]

After acting on impulse, the atmosphere had beco tense and sharp, and there was no easy way back.

"Wait, Kurumi. What happened to those wounds on you?"

At that mont, Shido noticed that Kurumi still had a few small wounds on her body.

Seeing Shido look at her as if he truly felt pain for her, Kurumi sighed, then put both her pistols back into the shadows.

"Honestly, Shido-san, you are much too kind. Don't worry. These are wounds that will heal on their own even if I leave them alone, so I didn't want to waste precious ti on them."

The wounds were left from her fight with AST yesterday. If she used Dalet-the Fourth Bullet, to rewind ti, she could restore herself to normal, but she did not want to waste precious ti on wounds that could heal by themselves.

"Of course I'm going to worry. Even if you don't use Dalet, you should at least bandage them. Co on, senpai should have disinfectant and bandage here."

Shido stepped forward and took Kurumi's hand, seemingly wanting to treat her wounds.

"Ara, instead of disinfectant, how about Shido-san licks them for ?"

For so reason, an alluring smile appeared on Kurumi's face.

"L-lick…?"

"Yes. Saliva can disinfect wounds, you know, Shido-san. For example… right here."

The strap of her Astral Dress slipped down from her shoulder, revealing a corner of her soft chest. There was a small wound there, like a bright flower petal resting against her skin.

Gulp.

Looking at the half revealed curve of the girl's chest, Shido swallowed. His face turned red so fast it looked as if it had caught fire.

"Co now, co now, Shido-san."

However, Kurumi kept stepping closer with that bewitching smile, finally forcing Shido into the corner of the kitchen.

"Ku… rumi…"

Faced with the girl's sudden temptation, Shido's head grew hazy, as if he had gotten drunk.

"Ow!"

But just then, the girl suddenly stepped back in pain.

"Ah…"

When Shido ca back to his senses, he saw Mikoto holding a disinfectant spray and aiming it at Kurumi.

"There is no need to trouble Shido, Kurumi-san~. We have disinfectant right here."

After Kurumi put away her weapons, Mikoto had also withdrawn her barrier. Considering Shido's personality, he would not ignore Kurumi's injuries, so Mikoto had gone inside to find the first aid kit. But when she ca back, she saw this unexpected scene.

So, without thinking too much, she took a bottle of dical alcohol from the first aid kit and sprayed it directly onto the wound on Kurumi's chest.

"A disinfectant with this much alcohol hurts a lot, you know."

Kurumi said with dissatisfaction.

"Ara, but it disinfects very well."

Mikoto answered with a bright smile.

"Honestly, such rough treatnt. I feel sorry for Yakumo-san's future boyfriend."

Kurumi sighed in a fake, sorrowful manner.

"No need to worry. I will never let Shido get hurt in any way." (TL:huh!!?!?!??!)

[!!!]

Hearing Mikoto's words, Shido's heart started beating wildly. It was not only because Mikoto had said she would protect him. It was also because the girl had, without hesitation, connected Shido with the idea of her future boyfriend.

"Ara, ara, that won't do. Shido-san belongs to , after all."

Hearing Mikoto's words, Kurumi laughed.

"Eh? Sneaking into soone else's house to steal dried fish is one thing, but now you are going after Shido too? Kurumi-san really does have cat traits."

And so, Mikoto also smiled warmly.

For so reason, Shido felt as if he could see burning sparks bursting between the two smiling girls.

"Um… anyway, let's go inside and treat Kurumi's wounds first! Treat the wounds!"

Realizing that if he did not say sothing, a second war might break out, Shido hurriedly tried to stop them.

"Fine. Let's go inside first."

Mikoto sighed. The kitchen was not the place to treat wounds. Shido was right about that.

After returning to the room, Mikoto and Shido treated Kurumi's wounds together.

"Speaking of which, Shido-san is one thing, but I did not expect Yakumo-san to be willing to treat my wounds too."

Kurumi said with so curiosity.

"Until you tell why you are collecting power even if it ans killing people, I will not give up on saving you."

Mikoto said.

No matter what, Kurumi's killings had a purpose. Until she understood that purpose, Mikoto did not want to judge Kurumi as a hopeless murderer.

[!!!]

Hearing Mikoto's words, Kurumi opened her eyes slightly wider.

Of course, there was another reason. It was not very important, but it could not be ignored either. Kurumi had so small wounds in places that were not convenient for Shido to treat, such as the one on her chest.

"Uu…"

As her fingertips brushed over the girl's delicate skin, Mikoto's face turned red. Although Kurumi's personality was sowhat twisted, she was still an extrely cute and beautiful girl. For Mikoto, who had been transford into a girl, there was no way she could feel absolutely nothing.

"Ara, Yakumo-san's face is very red. Could it be… you are interested in a girl's body?"

Kurumi asked with a smile.

"I. Am. Not."

However, Mikoto denied it one word at a ti. As if taking revenge, the girl lightly tightened the bandage, making Kurumi narrow her eyes in pain.

"Shido! We're here!"

Just as they were almost finished bandaging Kurumi, Tohka's voice ca from outside the door.

"Um, I'll go open the door. Kurumi, co eat barbecue with us tonight too… ah…"

Shido turned his head, intending to invite Kurumi. However, while the two of them had been distracted by the voice outside, Kurumi had already disappeared without a sound.

"She really does have cat traits."

Mikoto sighed and shook her head, then went with Shido to greet Tohka and the others.

______________

Under the evening sun, the sll of barbecue spread through the yard.

"Umu! Grilled eel is so good! Mushrooms are good too! The chicken skewers are amazing too!"

Tohka had a skewer between each of her fingers, and her mouth did not stop for even a second as she enjoyed the food.

"Yoshino-chan should eat more too."

"Mm… mm."

Yoshinon brought a skewer of eel to the girl's mouth. Yoshino ate it in small bites, then showed a happy smile.

"Shin, can I have a chicken skewer?"

"Shido! Hurry up with the eel!"

"Ah… I know. Reine-san, here, chicken. Kotori, your eel… wait, don't eat Chupa Chups during dinner!"

"Thank you, Shin."

"Eh? What does it matter? This beer flavored Chupa Chups goes perfectly with eel."

"What kind of weird flavor is that? Are you an old man? Huh?"

After handing the chicken skewer to Reine, Shido retorted at Kotori while reaching toward the charcoal grill. However, the eel that should have been cooked was nowhere to be found.

"That's strange…"

Just as Shido was puzzled, Mikoto handed another already grilled piece of eel to Kotori.

"Here, Kotori. Eel."

[I wish Kurumi could join us too.]

Looking at everyone happily eating together, Shido stopped worrying about where the eel had gone and thought with a little regret.

At sunset, Kurumi sat quietly on the roof, listening to the lively sounds from the backyard and slling the scent of charcoal fire.

She brought a skewer of grilled eel to her lips, then narrowed her eyes in satisfaction.

"Today is a good day, isn't it?"

As she scratched the cat under the chin, Kurumi said that. Niboshi rubbed against the girl comfortably and let out a pleased ow.

Twilight was the color of sadness, yet Kurumi's mood was quite good.

"A shrine, hm… as a resting place in the middle of busy days, it seems like a fine choice."

Sitting on the roof and watching the setting sun sink lower and lower, Kurumi smiled and began humming a song.
