Now reading: Chapter 143 143: The Gentlemen's (?) Trade from Date a Live:This is not the date I wanted!, a Action novel by brawslayer.

October 22nd, 9:59 AM.

Yutsuki sat on a public bench near the Hachiko statue in Tengu City. She was wearing neutral jeans and a fall button-up shirt, with a baseball cap on her head and her brown hair tied back into a single ponytail. She looked like a handso tomboy.

"Mhm... it's about ti."

Yutsuki looked up at the clock tower, watching the second hand slowly approach the top of the hour, and muttered to herself.

When the bell rang right on the hour, not a second early or late, Yutsuki saw a doll-like girl wearing the Raizen High School uniform, with light-colored shoulder-length hair, walking over from the other end of the street.

"Yo, right on ti like a news broadcast. Tobiichi Origami."

Yutsuki waved a friendly greeting at Origami. But compared to Yutsuki's friendly attitude, Origami was clearly on guard.

"How did you get my email address? Ryougi Yutsuki."

Origami glared at Yutsuki and demanded.

"It's not that weird. I just asked Shido for your email address." Yutsuki shrugged and answered, "Don't worry, I didn't hack into a Wizard's information just to tell them in so provocative, sick joke. I still want to live a peaceful life."

Origami frowned, staring at Yutsuki for a long ti, but didn't see the specific physiological reactions associated with lying on her face. Her computer and room also showed no signs of being hacked, so she slowly lowered her hand from her pistol.

"Then, did you bring the item ntioned in the email?"

"Of course."

Yutsuki gave a light chuckle and pulled a package out of the backpack she was carrying. Even though it was sealed tightly, you could tell whatever was inside had so weight to it.

Seeing the shopping bag in Yutsuki's hands, a fiery light appeared in the eyes of the usually emotionless Origami.

Honestly, the reason she, who viewed Spirits as enemies, not only didn't ignore the ssage Yutsuki sent but also ca all the way to this eting, was undoubtedly because the item in Yutsuki's hands was important enough for her to temporarily ignore those issues.

"The goods are inside. Do you want to take it out and check?"

"There are too many people here. We might be spotted."

A hint of urgency showed in her eyes, but Origami managed to control her excitent and shook her head.

Since earlier, they could vaguely feel several stares aid their way. Yutsuki clearly noticed this too and put the package back into her backpack.

"True. Although I don't think anyone could snatch this from us, if so stray cat or dog ran off with it, or if it blew away in the wind, I'd flip Tengu City upside down to find it."

In a rare mont, Origami actually nodded in agreent with Yutsuki's words.

But the reality was that the people walking by were just staring because they saw two rare, beautiful girls. However, the two of them, who had zero self-awareness about this, clearly didn't realize it.

"There's a manga cafe nearby with private rooms. Let's go there."

"How's the privacy?"

Origami asked, slightly concerned.

"I've been there. It's fine."

Yutsuki patted her chest and promised.

Next, Yutsuki took Origami to a private room in a manga cafe. Inside, there were a few high-spec computers with large screens on the desk, various manga magazines on the shelves, drinks in a mini-fridge, and perfect soundproofing.

"How is it? Is this place okay?"

"Yes, it's fine."

Origami nodded. Even though she wasn't interested in manga or surfing the web, and her policy on food was that as long as it provided enough calories, taste didn't matter, it really was a pretty good place for a secret conversation.

"Then, you can take that item out now."

"Alright, alright~ Don't rush."

Seeing the subtle impatience in Origami's voice, Yutsuki smirked, showing a cunning smile like a shady rchant.

Pulling the package out of her backpack again, Yutsuki handed it to Origami.

Holding the goods in her hands, Origami's eyes lit up. She took out the Swiss Army knife she carried with her, carefully slit the packaging open from the edge, and pulled out what was inside—it was a collector's album filled with cute pictures of a certain boy cross-dressing.

(Shido: "—Achoo!")

Inside were pictures of Shido wearing the casual won's clothes from his first date with Yutsuki, pictures from the concert when they were conquering Miku, and other pictures of Shido cross-dressing, both intentionally and unintentionally.

"Shiori wearing a princess outfit... I have absolutely no mory of this... how did you get these pictures?"

Looking at a picture on one of the pages, where the boy looked like a stunning young lady from a wealthy family, with a shy and bashful expression, Origami's breathing beca slightly ragged. Origami forced down the urge to pull the picture out and rub her face against it and lick it, staring at Yutsuki in disbelief. After all, in her mory, Shido had never worn a traditional Japanese princess outfit, let alone shown such a girlish expression.

Actually, this was Shido's Orihi mode that appeared during Yutsuki's non-ordinary date in the computer world not too long ago. Luckily, Marina's data explosion didn't affect these files. So Yutsuki converted these images back into photos and had them printed.

But since Origami didn't have these mories anymore, Yutsuki just gave a mysterious smile and brushed it off as a trade secret.

With a bit of frustration, Origami flipped through the album. She had similar copies of so of the photos, but aside from those, most of the pictures of Shiori were ones she had never seen before.

"Th-this is!"

When she reached the last page of the album, Origami's eyes widened as if she were witnessing a miracle, and her hands couldn't stop shaking.

"Hehe, I knew you'd notice this picture. Just to be clear, this is 100% real and unedited. It actually happened in real life."

Seeing Origami's reaction, Yutsuki gave a smug smile.

That's right, on the last page of the album was a picture from the Natsumi incident a few days ago, where Natsumi, disguised as Shido, kabedon Shido, who was in girls' clothes. To Origami, who wasn't there at the ti, this was an incredibly unexpected trump card.

Shido x Shiori. This was sothing that absolutely should not have happened in reality, but through various coincidences, it did. Honestly, even Yutsuki could only describe it with the word 'miracle'.

Thank you—Lady Natsumi! Every ti she saw this picture, Yutsuki couldn't help but feel deep gratitude towards Natsumi, who was who knows where right now.

"Phew—"

Slowly closing the album, Origami closed her eyes. After a long ti, she finally cald her excitent down. She opened her eyes, looked at Yutsuki, and said very seriously:

"What is the price for to have this?"

"Oh? You're quite understanding, Tobiichi Origami." Hearing Origami cut straight to the chase so cleanly, Yutsuki raised an eyebrow, nodded, and said, "Actually, there's more than one copy of this album. For , who has the original files, as well as a 'viewing' version and a 'collectible' version, this isn't sothing I can't bear to part with. But at the sa ti, it's not sothing I can just give away easily. You should understand what that ans, right?"

Well, although I did give Miku a copy too. Yutsuki quietly added in her mind.

Hearing Yutsuki's words, Origami wasn't surprised, but a bit of hesitation showed on her face. After all, for a treasure this precious, even Origami herself didn't know what to trade for it.

If she could pay for it with a specific amount of cash, that would be fine. Origami would just have to spend a bit of effort buying a mask that wouldn't be caught on cara and so necessary weapons. But if the other person demanded sothing unreasonable that Origami couldn't do, like breaking up with Shido or becoming good friends with Tohka and the others, even Origami would have to step back.

"Tell your terms first. As long as it's within my power, I will agree to it."

Plan successful. Hearing Origami finally say the words she was waiting for, Yutsuki chuckled lightly and nodded.

"Don't worry, it's just a very simple condition. I'm sure you can definitely do it."
