In an abandoned building, Natsumi sat on a balcony, using binoculars she had transford from a steel rebar to constantly scan every corner of the shopping district.
"Damn it... where did they run off to."
Seeing Yutsuki and Shido disappear into the fog, Natsumi gritted her teeth in frustration.
Over the past few days, to get back at Itsuka Shido for exposing her long-hidden true face, Natsumi had been trying every way possible to torture him. She wanted to use constant, annoying pranks to wear down Shido's ntal state while completely destroying his social standing. The best outco would be him hiding in his house, too afraid to even step outside.
But to her frustration, every single ti, Itsuka Shido seed to see right through Natsumi's thoughts. He would prepare counterasures right as Natsumi struck, making the results completely different from what Natsumi wanted.
Just like earlier, if Shido hadn't escaped imdiately, he would have been known to the public as the 'Pervert who forced a loli to wear a dog-eared school swimsuit and paraded her on the street.'
"It's because of Ryougi Yutsuki."
Natsumi muttered to herself. If there was soone capable of doing this, thinking of the people around Shido, the first person Natsumi thought of was undoubtedly that girl with long brown hair.
"What should I do next..."
A troubled look appeared on Natsumi's face. If you asked for ways to torture Shido, Natsumi had as many as you could want. But Natsumi couldn't guarantee that these ideas weren't already anticipated by Yutsuki. If she acted recklessly, she might end up like the first ti, getting set up by Ryougi Yutsuki, resulting in the ridiculous blunder of her turning into Shido and teasing the real Shido who was cross-dressing.
Just like Shido was tornted by Natsumi's pranks, Natsumi was also racking her brains to co up with a prank that Yutsuki wouldn't notice.
Wooooooooo—
Right then, the loud blaring of sirens brought Natsumi back to reality.
"A spacequake?"
Natsumi frowned in confusion. The siren wasn't unfamiliar to her. She was very careful when using her Angel and hadn't reached a level that would trigger the alarm. As for a new Spirit appearing, Natsumi didn't feel any signs of a spacequake happening in the area either.
"No... soone is coming."
Natsumi felt soone approaching her location.
"Was I discovered by Itsuka Shido and Ryougi Yutsuki?"
Natsumi clicked her tongue. It wasn't impossible; Shido clearly had a massive organization backing him. Even if Shido didn't spot her, the surveillance network set up around the area might have found her.
The spacequake alarm was obviously played intentionally to disperse the uninvolved crowd, aning they had already prepared to use so level of force to make her surrender. Putting aside whether Itsuka Shido would do that, according to Natsumi's investigation, Ryougi Yutsuki clearly wasn't the type to just take a beating without fighting back.
"Sorry, but I can't let you catch ."
Of the thirty-six stratagems, fleeing is best. Natsumi pulled down her witch's hat, chuckled low, hopped onto Haniel, and quickly left the area.
"—Well, this should be far enough."
After an unknown amount of ti flying around randomly, thinking she had shaken off her pursuers, Natsumi landed halfway up a deserted mountain.
"Phew... don't think I'm giving up just like this. I will absolutely never forgive you. I have plenty of ti anyway, I'd like to see just how long you can protect Shido, Ryougi Yu—"
Just as Natsumi was halfway through her sentence, a sense of crisis like soone squeezing her heart spread through her entire body, making Natsumi instinctively jump back several steps.
The next second, the spot where Natsumi had just been was blasted into a massive crater by a laser.
Natsumi broke into a slight sweat. That wasn't a warning shot; it was an attack completely ant to crush her. If she hadn't dodged, Natsumi would definitely be at death's door right now.
"...What the heck, for Itsuka Shido's companions, this is quite the extre welco."
Natsumi looked up toward the direction of the attack. It was two Wizards wearing white-gold Realizers.
One was a young woman with long, light-blonde hair and green eyes, looking to be just over twenty. The other was a younger girl with short, pale white hair.
Unlike their elegant, beautiful faces that looked like they belonged to young ladies from rich families, both of them gave off the aura of battle hardened warriors.
"Shido...?"
"Unfortunately, we are not Itsuka Shido's companions."
Hearing Natsumi's words, the girl with short pale hair frowned slightly, and the woman with long light blonde hair answered coldly.
"Oh... AST people? Though your outfits are a bit different. Well, whatever. What do you want?"
"Do you even need to ask?"
Hearing Natsumi, Ellen drew the longsword from her back.
"To hunt you, of course. Witch."
Hearing this, Natsumi laughed mockingly.
"Hunt ? I don't think you two can do it alone. Also, I don't like being called 'Witch'. Please call Natsumi—Wah!"
Before Natsumi could finish, the girl with short pale hair swung her sword at Natsumi, forcing her to ride Haniel and dodge.
"Don't even think about escaping."
Seeing the first strike miss, the opponent didn't seem to have any intention of stopping. The thrusters on her armor generated a massive acceleration, bringing the girl right in front of Natsumi in an instant.
"Hey! Won't you even let soone finish their self-introduction? Tobiichi Origami!"
Natsumi yelled while putting up a shield to block Origami's attack.
"I never had any intention of talking to Spirits from the very beginning."
"What did you say...!?"
However, the mont Natsumi made eye contact with Origami, Natsumi instinctively felt a chill down her spine.
Just what kind of experiences did it take to have an eyes like that? It was as if her hatred had burned to the absolute limit, ultimately honing itself into an incredibly sharp blade. Her cold, murderous intent seed to overflow.
"What's going on, aren't you on Itsuka Shido's side?"
"..."
Origami clearly had no intention of talking much with Natsumi. The light on her longsword flashed, and under the control of her Territory, she fired a barrage of magical energy bullets.
Facing Origami's torrential attack, Natsumi could only speed up Haniel and constantly change her flight path to shake her off.
"Hey. Do you still have ti to chat with the enemy? Witch."
Before she knew it, Ellen had already appeared behind Natsumi and enveloped her in her Territory.
Suddenly, Natsumi felt her body beco incredibly heavy, her agility instantly turning sluggish. Unable to bear the load, her broom was forced to land on the ground.
"Rhongomiant!"
Watching the powerful magical light so close at hand, Natsumi's pupils instinctively shrank.
"Haniel!"
Boom—!
With a loud crash, the searing heat of the explosion spread outwards.
"Did she dodge it?"
Ellen looked at the huge, scorched crater in front of her. She had adjusted the firepower; even if hit head on by the Lance of the Vanguard, a Spirit wouldn't be blown to bits.
"It seems she used her Angel to release a massive amount of Spirit power and instantly broke free from the Territory's restraint. She couldn't have completely dodged that attack; she should still be nearby."
Origami answered calmly, her eyes looking towards a hill not far away.
Sure enough, after a 'poof—' of magic-like smoke, Natsumi appeared in front of Origami and Ellen again. However, she looked quite a ss right now.
"Damn it... that was close... unforgivable."
Feeling the stinging pain from her skin, even though she dodged the direct hit, just the shockwave had dealt considerable damage to Natsumi, who was wearing her Astral Dress. Their actions had thoroughly enraged Natsumi.
"This is my return gift! —'Haniel'!"
After Natsumi yelled, the Angel in her hand let out a blinding light, enveloping Ellen and Origami. Subsequently, Origami and Ellen both turned into their child forms.
"Hahahahahahaha! How does it feel to be a kid? Do you want to go ho and cry to your mommies?"
Natsumi held her stomach and laughed out loud. This was why Natsumi hadn't chosen to retreat even after being pushed this far by Ellen and Origami. So what if they were strong? As long as she turned them all into children, their abilities would drop drastically across the board, their combat power turning to trash. In the end, they would still only be bullied by her.
"Is this your trump card... how boring."
After checking her body's condition, Ellen's mouth curled into a disdainful smile. She gripped 'Caledfwlch' tightly and closed the distance to Natsumi in an instant.
"Eh—?"
Completely not expecting her opponents to go on the offensive after being shrunk, Natsumi's mind went blank for a brief mont.
Ellen ignored Natsumi's reaction. She swung her beam sword, piercing right through Natsumi's torso, between her abdon and chest.
—It hurts! It hurts! It hurts! It hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh..."
Seeing the massive amount of blood pouring from her abdon, intense pain assaulted Natsumi's entire body, causing her to let out a fierce scream of agony.
"Did you let your guard down just because you turned us into children? What a naive Spirit. It's just a regression of physical functions; when did you get the delusion that I was rendered powerless?Hacker, even after completely cracking an opponent's Realizer, wouldn't be as careless as you."
Looking at Natsumi screaming on the ground, Ellen, using her childish voice, gave a flat and cold evaluation.
