"Say, Shido-boy... Could you explain your relationship with this Tobiichi Origami?"

Walking down the street, Yutsuki stared at Shido with an expression of sheer annoyance. Currently, Origami was tightly hugging Shido's arm, deliberately dragging him three ters away from Yutsuki while glaring at her with blatant hostility.

"Well... it's a long story."

A helpless, bitter smile appeared on Shido's face. Origami's chest was pressed tightly against his arm. Although he tried to pull his arm away, she had locked onto him with incredible strength. Not only was he trapped as if caught in a branding iron, but the soft, warm sensation continuously stimulating his nerves left him completely flustered.

"Um... This is Tobiichi Origami. She's my classmate from school."

"And lover!"

Origami imdiately added to Shido's introduction. She leaned her head affectionately against his shoulder, putting on an incredibly intimate display and showing off triumphantly to Yutsuki.

"Is that so?"

Yutsuki turned to look at Shido.

"Uh..."

Shido looked incredibly awkward. In the past, in order to train his communication skills with girls, Kotori had forced him to confess to Origami. What he completely hadn't expected was for her to actually say yes.

He had tried various thods to clear up the misunderstanding since then, but for completely different reasons, Origami's affection level toward him had ended up breaking past its maximum limit instead.

Seeing Shido's expression, Yutsuki more or less guessed the actual dynamic between the two.

"Oh, I see. My na is Ryougi Yutsuki. Nice to et you, Tobiichi."

However, Origami didn't seem to appreciate Yutsuki's polite introduction in the slightest.

Stare——

"Um, could you stop glaring at with so much hostility?"

Being inexplicably treated as an enemy by a beautiful girl instantly made Yutsuki feel a bit displeased.

"A pervert attempting to assault Shido!"

"Hah—?!"

Hearing Origami say that with an absolutely straight, deadpan face, Yutsuki almost felt the urge to clean out her ears to make sure she hadn't misheard.

"You dragged Shido into that deserted alley, fully intending to trick him into drinking an aphrodisiac so you could bleep him and then bleep him again, didn't you?!"

"That's exactly what you were trying to do!!!"

Heaven be her witness, Yutsuki swore this was the first ti she had ever t soone who could twist the truth so blatantly with such a righteous, matter of fact expression. And she didn't look guilty in the slightest!

"It is only natural between lovers."

"The word 'lover' does not give you a free pass to drug and force yourself onto your boyfriend!"

Honestly, this was the first ti Yutsuki realized that girls existed whose entire existence was just a walking magnet for retorts(tsukkomi). Was this an ani...? Oh right, this actually was an ani world.

As a side note, Yutsuki had forcefully stopped Origami right when she unzipped Shido's pants halfway down. It wasn't out of jealousy, but seriously—even if they were a couple, trying to engage in baby making activities right in front of soone else was way too arrogant! Human tolerance usually maxed out at pretending not to see a kiss. That was also why Origami's hostility toward Yutsuki was so high.

"More importantly, why are you walking with Shido?"

Before Yutsuki could answer Origami's wary question, Shido hurriedly explained, "Actually, Ryougi-san is a tourist visiting Tengu City. Since it's her first ti here, I'm just showing her around. There's nothing special going on."

"I see..." Hearing Shido's words, Origami nodded. "Since you say so, I will believe it."

Seeing Origami accept his excuse entirely without a shred of doubt, a twinge of guilt pricked Shido's conscience.

"Seriously... Is the misunderstanding finally cleared up?" Yutsuki sighed. "So, what's next? We've already gone to the places I wanted to see. Do you have any recomndations, Shido-boy?"

"Places to go... If it's alright, could we head to the underground supermarket at the mall? I want to buy so groceries to make dinner for my family."

Even though conquering Spirits was incredibly important, Shido couldn't just leave Tohka and the others starving at ho. If they went to the mall, even though it was a bit late, he could still get so relatively fresh ingredients.

As for money... Since he had basically been spending Yutsuki's illegally acquired funds this whole trip, Shido had already accepted his fate. He was already her accomplice anyway; what was a little more spent?

"Family, huh..." Yutsuki muttered softly, a bright smile blossoming on her face. "That's fine. Shido-boy working hard for his family is sothing worthy of praise! Plus, this is a rare opportunity. I'd like to buy so ingredients and cook sothing myself."

Up until now, Yutsuki's ingredients had consisted exclusively of wild beasts caught deep in the mountains. While she could easily turn them into delicious als, trying her hand at ordinary ingredients for a change sounded pretty nice.

Looking at Yutsuki's bright smile, for so reason, Shido felt a sudden pang of sadness in his heart.

The girl's smile... It was as if she were looking at a scenery she hadn't seen in a very, very long ti. A sense of nostalgia and longing born from sothing that had been lost.

And so, Shido said, "If you don't mind, would you like to co to our house for dinner?"

"Eh?!" Yutsuki let out a cry of disbelief, speaking slightly flustered, "There's no need for that! I'd just be a bother to your family!"

"Not at all! Most of the people at our house are just freeloaders anyway. You wouldn't be bothering anyone."

Touched by Shido's suggestion, Yutsuki hesitated for a mont before nodding. "Then I will gladly accept your offer."

"I am going too!" Origami suddenly interjected.

"O-Origami, you too?" Shido, startled by her sudden declaration, stamred, unsure of what to do.

"As his lover, I have an obligation to properly greet Shido's family."

Tightening her grip on Shido's arm, Origami stared at him with intense, serious eyes.

"...I guess that's true."

Origami's reasoning was completely flawless. Moreover, inviting a girl he had just t to his house while completely ignoring his 'girlfriend' would be absolute scumbag behavior. Shido could only bla himself for not clearing up the confession misunderstanding sooner. He had no one to bla but himself.

"Then, Origami, you can co too."

Shido could only pray that Tohka would calmly listen to his explanation once she saw Origami.

Noticing Shido's slight distress, Yutsuki let out an amused chuckle and jogged ahead of them.

As Yutsuki passed by Shido, he heard her whisper, "Shido-boy, Tobiichi clearly is head over heels for you. Why don't you just be a good boy and accept her feelings?"

Looking at Yutsuki—whose mood had improved so much that she was skipping ahead like an excited child—a bitter smile ford on Shido's face.

Honestly, if it hadn't been for his encounters with the Spirits of this world, maybe after Origami accepted his confession, he would have just let the misunderstanding play out and stayed with her.

But he truly couldn't bring himself to abandon those lonely expressions and leave the Spirits to suffer alone.

However, Yutsuki seed to genuinely believe he should just pair up with Origami. That wasn't a good sign. In Galga terms, it ant the heroine's route had effectively been severed.

Well, it seems like her affection level went up quite a bit. I'll discuss the next steps with Kotori later.

anwhile, Origami was glaring at Yutsuki's back with extre vigilance. In a voice too soft for Shido to hear, she muttered, "A terrifying enemy."

---Done shopping and arrived ho divider line----

"Ooh—So this is Shido-boy's house? It's so insanely ordinary!"

Looking at the perfectly standard, 2LDK house in front of her, Yutsuki couldn't help but exclaim.

"Sorry for being so ordinary!" Shido retorted. He placed the heavy grocery bags on the ground, pulled out his keys, and opened the door.

"I'm ho!"

Just like always, Shido stepped inside and called out to the house.

"Welco ho, Shido!" Tohka's cheerful voice imdiately answered from the top of the stairs.

And the next second, Shido was completely petrified by the sight before him. The groceries in his hands slipped from his grasp, crashing to the floor due to sheer shock.

Tohka was slowly walking down the stairs. Why wasn't she running? Because currently, Tohka was wearing a white kitchen apron... and absolutely nothing else. That flawless, pristine skin and her incredibly mature figure were on full display, making Shido feel the violent urge to suffer an explosive nosebleed.

The ultimate dream of all mankind—the Naked Apron!

"T-T-T-T-Tohka?! What kind of outfit is that?!"

Shido sputtered frantically. Tohka lowered her head, blushing furiously. It seed that dressing like this was incredibly embarrassing for her as well.

"Because I heard that n love it when girls dress like this."

"Uh, on multiple levels, I can't deny that... but it's not okay! No matter what, wearing just an apron is absolutely not okay!"

"Eh?" This ti, Tohka tilted her head in confusion. She leisurely spun around and said, "But I am wearing clothes underneath."

"Idiot! Don't turn around!" Shido hurriedly covered his eyes. But he quickly realized that underneath the apron, Tohka was actually wearing a purple bikini; you just couldn't see it from the front.

Phew, safe zone... Yeah, right! Shido felt like his nosebleed was going to erupt at any second regardless.

"W-Welco ho, Shido-san."

"W-Welco back, Shido."

Next, Shido felt like his eyeballs were going to pop out of their sockets.

Yoshino was currently wearing a white P.E. uniform top with her na tag stuck on it, and for bottoms, she was only wearing gym bloors. Paired with her petite, adorable figure and her fragile, blushing expression, it was an outfit that could easily spark so very questionable impulses.

His little sister was wearing a fiery red qipao. The slit in the dress revealed her long, flawlessly pale thighs, highlighting her slender, incredibly sexy curves. Her hair, tied back with black ribbons into twin tails, fluttered in the air. The mont her round eyes t Shido's, she blushed bright red and looked down.

"W-W-W-W-What in the world are you all doing?!!!"

Faced with Shido's completely frantic, chaotic questioning, Kotori and Yoshino exchanged a glance and fidgeted shyly.

"S-Shut up! Don't ask such embarrassing questions!"

"Because... this morning... Shido-san looked... really down... so we wanted to do this to cheer you up."

Hearing their answers, Shido instantly understood. They had done this to cheer him up because he was so depressed at lunch.

But didn't they realize just how destructive these outfits were to the male psyche?!

Feeling like there was absolutely nowhere safe to look, and feeling the impending nosebleed growing stronger, Shido hurriedly turned his head away.

However, standing right in front of him, having changed into a school swimsuit complete with dog ears and a tail, was Tobiichi Origami.

"WHEN DID YOU EVEN CHANGE INTO THAT?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Origami didn't answer Shido's question. She simply dropped to her hands and knees, wagging her dog tail and twitching her ears, and called out to Shido:

"Woof! Woof!"

Feeling a liquid finally trickling from his nose, Shido touched it... Yup, unsurprisingly, it was red.

"Heh~ What an interesting family you have~"(TL:we are so cooked)

Just then, a voice as cold as the deepest abyss echoed from the doorway. Shido snapped his head around. Yutsuki's face was completely obscured by the shadow of her bangs. Her long hair fluttered nacingly behind her, radiating an unimaginably oppressive aura.

How could she have forgotten?! The world she was currently in was a harem ani world! ...Though to be fair, she had also been partially fooled by the dense virgin aura Shido constantly exuded.

Even though she had lost practically all of her mories regarding the plot of the ani, Yutsuki was absolutely certain right now: Itsuka Shido was undeniably the protagonist of Date A Live.

"S-So scary!"

"Who are you? An enemy?!"

"Hacker! Why are you here?!" Recognizing her identity, Kotori imdiately rushed behind Shido and shouted.

"It's a long story. But more importantly, the situation right now is looking really bad..."

Staring at Yutsuki, who looked like she had just been possessed by a wrathful Rakshasa demon, Shido's excitent instantly evaporated, replaced entirely by cold sweat.

"Say~ Shido-kun~~"

For so reason, Yutsuki calling his na with such a gentle voice felt far more terrifying than if she had yelled.

"W-What is it?"

"Out of consideration for you showing around today, I really don't want to ruin that face of yours. So could you please clench—your—teeth—for ?"

"Eh?"

Before Shido could even process the request, Yutsuki blurred, appearing right in front of him. With terrifying force, she delivered a brutal uppercut straight to Shido's jaw.

Shido was instantly transford into a rocket launching into the atmosphere. Spinning at high speeds, the upper half of his body crashed straight through the ceiling. After twitching slightly a few tis, he stopped moving altogether.
