"Westcott!?"
Regarding this uninvited guest, Shido widened his eyes in surprise. Then, upon realizing that Kotori and the others, who should have been waiting for them here, were nowhere to be seen, a flash of anger crossed his eyes.
"Where did Tohka and the others go?"
"Hoh..."
A playful smile appeared on the corner of Westcott's mouth, and he spoke in a deliberately mystifying tone.
"What if I said, I've already killed all those Spirits?"
"—!"
The mont he heard those words, Shido's pupils contracted sharply.
"Partial deploynt—tatron—Zadkiel!"
The next instant, the steel plates Shido stepped on were covered in a layer of thin ice, as he aggressively closed in on Westcott. Several pure white wings of light shot out like arrows, drawing several arcs in the air to surround Westcott from above, the tips of the wings gathering the light of Spirit power.
However, towards Itsuka Shido's attack, Westcott showed no fear, maintaining his calm and relaxed deanor.
Just as Shido's attack was about to hit Westcott, a quaint leather book suddenly floated in front of him. The book opened in mid-air, and ominous black aura, like a lion opening its bloody maw, wrapped around the cold air and light beams, gradually digesting them.
"Holy crap... so my Angel can actually be used like that?"
Standing behind Shido, Nia said, dumbfounded.
"I see, you are already able to utilize the Spirits's power so proficiently. No wonder the Wizards guarding outside couldn't stop you. You've made see you in a new light, Itsuka Shido."
Westcott couldn't help but clap and praise. However, his praise sounded no different from mockery to Shido's ears.
"Boy, calm down. If you lose your temper and cool here, you'll be playing right into his hands."
Nia whispered advice from the side.
"Ah... I know."
Slowly suppressing the rising anger in his heart, Shido took a deep breath, his mind instantly clearing up a lot.
Observing his surroundings calmly, Shido noticed there were no traces of a fierce battle here.
After all, Rasiel isn't a weapon designed for combat. Even if it inverted into a Demon King and gained a certain level of offensive capability, it was impossible for it to finish off Tohka and the others completely in such a short ti.
Subtly shifting his body sideways to shield Nia behind him, Shido stared at Westcott and asked vigilantly.
"You're lying, aren't you? After going through so much trouble to make a Spirit invert before, you're now saying you killed them all? Could you bear to do that?"
"Hmph... well, it's only natural that such a hastily fabricated lie would be seen through."
Seeing Shido recover his calm so quickly, Westcott wasn't annoyed. Rather, it wouldn't be fun if he didn't.
Shrugging, Westcott revealed a very happy smile.
"Well, just like you said, you aren't the target this ti. I rely wanted to catch up with old friends. It's just that their interference was troubleso, so I locked them up."
"Locked them up?"
Hearing Westcott's words, Shido showed a puzzled expression.
"Exactly, locked them up."
Smiling and nodding, Westcott pointed a finger forward.
"Just like this."
Suddenly, the light of Spirit power erged around Shido. The space on the floor quietly twisted, transforming into a book the size of a door, appearing right under Shido and Nia's feet.
"Beelzebub—Phantom Library(Ashufiriya)."
"Partial deploynt—Raphael!"
While conversing with Westcott, Shido had also been unremittingly watching his every move. Upon noticing the other party's action, Shido imdiately summoned the Yamai sisters's Angel, grabbing Nia and rapidly retreating.
However, just as Shido was about to escape the book's coverage area, slender arms erging from the pages grabbed their ankles.
"Kya—What is this!"
Frightened by the grueso scene before her, Nia let out a scream, her face pale.
"Damn it, this thing."
Shido increased Raphael's power, trying to break free from the arms gripping him. However, seemingly sensing Shido's intention, the arms increased their force, using unimaginable brute strength to drag Shido and Nia bit by bit from the air down to the ground.
Subsequently, the two ends of the book slowly closed towards the middle, as if intending to flatten the foreign objects, Shido and Nia, into bookmarks, snapping the book shut tightly.
"Wh—?!"
A mont before the light vanished, looking up at the true identity of the arms's owner, Shido widened his eyes in disbelief.
(Mari... na?)
His vision turning completely dark, Shido felt as if he had entered a strange space, his body falling uncontrollably downwards.

"Let them agonize in the world of fairy tales for a while. Mhm~ The feeling of my first battle wasn't bad."
Closing the pages of Beelzebub, Westcott couldn't help but sigh with emotion. Standing on the front lines using a Demon King to fight, rather than acting as a commander for the first ti, was quite a fresh experience for him.
"Perfect, this can serve as a warm-up exercise before eting Elliot. I really should thank Itsuka Shido and the others."
Seemingly showing no interest in the Fraxinus EX parked in the hangar, Westcott stretched leisurely, turned around, and walked out of the hangar.
"Good grief, you were beaten pretty badly."
Along the way, looking at his Wizards and drones frozen into ice sculptures, Westcott couldn't help but shake his head helplessly. Now he could sowhat understand the feeling of frustration Ellen had when she whipped her subordinates in the company's training room.
Of course, he also knew that the strength of these Wizards was already among the best of the best.
"To actually be able to suppress so many of our company's elites, I really can't underestimate Itsuka Shido."
Westcott knew clearly that in terms of sheer strength, it wouldn't be difficult for Itsuka Shido, who had already sealed nine Spirits, to defeat Westcott, who only possessed the power of one Demon King.
But unfortunately, Itsuka Shido would not kill people.
For this reason, when using Angels, Shido always unconsciously limited his own Spirit power output, which was why he was so easily subdued by Westcott.
Just like these frozen subordinates of his; although they had lost their mobility because their Territories were frozen, none of their lives were in danger.
"Well, that's exactly what I hoped for."
Tossing these trivial matters to the back of his mind, Westcott quickly adjusted his mood, preparing to look for Woodman with brisk steps.
Suddenly, without any warning, a bright orange light quietly flared up behind Westcott.
"—!"
Fierce wind pressure exploded. A Railgun, exceeding Mach 3, tore through the air ahead of the sound, locking dead onto the back of Westcott's head.
If things had proceeded normally, at this mont, let alone Westcott's head, his entire upper body would have been reduced to ashes. However, Beelzebub was summoned in the nick of ti, blocking behind Westcott like a shield. The originally sure-kill strike failed due to the Demon King's obstruction.
"That was close, that was close! I almost died."
Westcott patted his chest, breathing a sigh of relief with lingering fear.
"Well, I felt sothing was wrong from the beginning when I didn't see you.Although Beelzebub can't search for your information, detecting Spirit power reactions within a certain range is still a piece of cake, Ryougi Yutsuki."
Saying this, Westcott slowly turned around, looking in the direction of the Railgun's trajectory. But to his regret, he didn't see the girl. Clearly, after the sneak attack snipe failed, the other party had imdiately relocated.
"Ah, this is truly a headache."
Unlike Itsuka Shido, even if her Spirit power was sealed, Westcott didn't dare underestimate the Spirit Ryougi Yutsuki in the slightest. She was like a python lurking in the jungle; the mont its prey showed a hint of an opening, it would rcilessly bare its fangs.
Not to ntion that Ellen, Artemisia, and Ai Mulian were not by his side right now. Even Westcott didn't want to fall victim to Ryougi Yutsuki's ambush while looking for Woodman.
"Mhm...Oh! I got it!"
After thinking on the spot for a mont, Westcott had an idea.
"Beelzebub."
Following Westcott's call, pitch black Spirit power transford into black mist and spread in all directions. It wrapped around the ice blocks freezing the Wizards and drones, dissolving the Spirit power contained within them.
Soon, the frozen Wizards broke out of the ice one after another, gathering in front of Westcott.
"We are deeply sorry, Lord Westcott!"
"It's fine, it's fine. It just happened to give a chance to experint with Beelzebub."
Westcott waved his hand, indicating they shouldn't mind.
"Right, I have an important mission to entrust to you next, is that okay?"
"Yes! Please give the order!"
Realizing this was a good opportunity to make ands, the Wizards hurriedly straightened their backs and answered with full enthusiasm.
"Excellent. Then I'll have to trouble you to go to that hangar and capture the airship parked inside. After all, if we let it fly to space, it will cause a lot of trouble for Ellen and the others."
Pointing at the hangar in the distance that he had just walked out of, Westcott smiled faintly. He took a deep breath and shouted at a volu everyone could hear,
"If the people inside try to resist, then there's no need to hold back, just kill them directly!"
