"...Phew. The small fry are mostly cleared."

Mukuro exhaled softly and murmured quietly.

At this mont, the Bandersnatch sent by DEM had all been destroyed by her. Countless tal fragnts drifted ssily in space, like garbage dumped into the ocean by a bad company.

"There are many visitors today. However..."

Tearing the last drone into tal parts, Mukuro calmly glanced at the strange chanical head, paused slightly, and then continued.

"None are as troubleso as you. Itsuka Shido."

Saying this, Mukuro turned around and fixed her cold gaze on the boy protected behind Yatogami Tohka.

From Mukuro's eyes, Shido felt a pressure—a very faint yet clear killing intent. Realizing this, a thin layer of cold sweat broke out on Shido's forehead.

However, Shido naturally couldn't let this show on his face. He forced a relaxed laugh and said to Mukuro.

"Haha, being troubleso and stubborn are my few good points. I'll take that as a complint."

"It does not matter. How you interpret my words is your freedom. Muku has no intention of wasting breath to judge it."

Mukuro replied with no interest, her eyes half-closed.

"A question, hypocrite. What will you do now? The dolls have turned to dust, your trick has lost its effect. Relying solely on yourself and the sword Spirit with incomplete power, you are no match for Muku. Offer your head willingly, and save yourself from physical pain."

"Sorry, but I can't agree to that. If I die, my family will be angry."

Shaking his head with a bitter smile, Shido looked at Mukuro and kindly corrected her,

"Besides, even dust can be used."

With that, Shido held the fake Michael high.

"Michael—Lataib."

As Shido twisted the Angel in his hand, a door suddenly appeared, sucking in the drifting tal debris. At the sa ti, several doors opened around Mukuro, and a large amount of debris shot out, flying rapidly towards her.

(Is this Muku's move?)

Although not surprised, Mukuro still raised her eyelids slightly when she saw this.

However, despite this, Shido's move was sothing he had just learned and rushed to use. In terms of scale and power, it was far worse than the original and couldn't threaten Hoshimiya Mukuro.

She didn't even need to use her Angel. Mukuro simply opened a layer of Spirit energy shield, blocking the flying tal debris.

However, Mukuro wouldn't naively think this was Itsuka Shido's trump card.

Sure enough, just as the attack of tal debris ended, the sword Spirit, Yatogami Tohka, charged right in front of Mukuro.

(Itsuka Shido, is gone?)

Mukuro frowned in confusion. However, before she could start figuring out Shido's trick, Tohka slashed through Mukuro's Spirit energy shield with one strike, raising Sandalphon high, and swung it at Mukuro with the sound of tearing wind.

Even so, Mukuro remained very calm. Tohka's attack looked strong, but it carried no killing intent. It wasn't surprising; since Itsuka Shido kept saying he wanted to save her, his companion naturally wouldn't truly intend to slice Mukuro in half.

This kind of attack was very easy to either block or push away. However, Mukuro did not choose either of these options.

"—"

"Wawu?!"

Just as the blade was about to fall, Mukuro stepped aside, dodging Sandalphon by a tiny bit.

Of course, this dodge of Mukuro's avoided not only Tohka's slash but also the fake Michael thrusting out from the door that opened behind her.

(As expected.)

Mukuro thought to herself.

First, by copying Mukuro's move, he drew her attention. Then, he let the sword Spirit get close to Mukuro under the cover of the barrage. Shido himself, under this double cover, quietly opened a door behind Mukuro to connect the space.

If she had chosen to take the sword Spirit's attack head-on, Mukuro would have been pierced by Itsuka Shido's Michael right now.

A very brilliant plan. Unfortunately, it would only work if the opponent wasn't Mukuro, who truly owned this Angel and knew how to use it perfectly.

"—Do not get in the way, sword Spirit."

Mukuro moved behind Tohka, pressed her left hand on her back, and gave a hard push. At the sa ti, her right hand thrust Michael into empty space.

"Uwaa?!"

A door suddenly opened in front of Yatogami Tohka. Unable to control her body smoothly in space, Tohka could only roll into the door, being teleported hundreds of ters away in the completely opposite direction from Shido.

"What—?!"

Seeing his plan fail, Shido's panicked voice ca from the door. He hurriedly pulled back Michael and prepared to close the door.

Hoshimiya Mukuro naturally wouldn't let Shido escape right under her nose.

"Michael—Lataib."

Thrusting it into the closing door, Mukuro twisted Michael, as if using brute force to kick the door down. A small hole the size of a glass bead violently expanded.

Stepping through the door, the scenery before her eyes suddenly changed, and Itsuka Shido appeared directly beneath Mukuro.

"This ti, you cannot escape."

Mukuro looked down at Itsuka Shido and spoke softly.

"Damn it—Partial Deploynt—Zadkiel!"

Seemingly to block Mukuro's attack, Shido created an ice wall between himself and Mukuro.

Although it was a panicked struggle, the judgnt wasn't bad. By doing this, even if Mukuro used Michael, she could at most seal Shido's Zadkiel. She wouldn't be able to kill him in one hit, and this gave Itsuka Shido ti to escape.

However, all of this did not matter to Mukuro.

Because there wasn't just one way to kill Itsuka Shido.

"Die, Itsuka Shido."

Hoshimiya Mukuro gripped Michael tightly. The tip of the Angel pierced into a leaf-like chanical device floating outside the Territory—the Leaf of Yggdrasil.

Humans cannot survive in space with just their bodies. Although Hoshimiya Mukuro stayed in space all the ti, she still understood this common sense.

To move freely in space, one must make proper preparations. Even Mukuro was no exception; she covered her entire body with a layer of Spirit energy to maintain a minimum level of life activity and prevent dangerous materials from affecting her body.

During the battle, Mukuro had been wondering how Shido and his companion could operate in space. Clearly, although both had Spirit energy, they didn't know the trick to using it like she did.

Through continuous observation, Mukuro confird that what helped Shido move freely in space was exactly that tallic leaf following him.

Then, as long as this item was destroyed, Itsuka Shido would naturally fall into the deadly situation of being unable to survive in space.

"Michael—Segva."

Mukuro twisted her staff to the right. Imdiately after, the glowing light on the Leaf of Yggdrasil quietly faded away.

However, just when Mukuro thought she had destroyed Shido's lifeline, a sudden change occurred.

—Duang!

After a strange sound, the shape of the Leaf of Yggdrasil suddenly changed into a broken chanical head.

"What—!?"

The unexpected situation made Mukuro widen her eyes.

Right at this mont, the Michael in Mukuro's hand was grabbed by another hand.

"Finally caught your opening, Mukuro."

Appearing before Mukuro, Shido showed a proud smile.

"Didn't I tell you? Even dust can be used."

At the sa ti, Mukuro saw a tal fragnt behind Shido transform. That was the real Leaf of Yggdrasil.

Seeing this, Mukuro frowned, showing a serious expression for the first ti.

"How did you see through Muku's plan?"

"Ah... sorry, I didn't see through your plan, I just cheated a little."

Shido answered with a bitter smile. Honestly, if the Future Glimpse ability hadn't suddenly activated, if he hadn't had that experience with Nia, Itsuka Shido's current situation might be completely different.

"Zadkiel—Siriyon."

Following Shido's call, Shido's body was covered piece by piece by ice-blue frost. The cold air spread outward through Shido's hand, completely freezing Mukuro's Michael and her right hand.

"Guh—!"

Feeling her entire right arm lose feeling under the cold air, and losing her most important weapon, Mukuro didn't intend to give up. Spirit energy gathered into beams, shooting continuously at Itsuka Shido from very close range.

However, almost all the Spirit energy beam attacks were blocked by the ice armor ford by Zadkiel. Even if they caused damage, they only gave Shido minor, small injuries.

Moreover, even those minor injuries rapidly healed under the cover of a white fla.

Mukuro widened her eyes in disbelief.

"Impossible. What exactly are you—"

"I am Itsuka Shido."

Staring into Mukuro's eyes, Shido said seriously, word by word,

"An ordinary high school student."

With that, Shido raised the fake Michael and thrust it into Hoshimiya Mukuro's chest.

"...Lataib."

Along with Shido's words, the fake Michael in Mukuro's chest turned to the left.

"—!?"

Instantly, sothing unfamiliar suddenly and rapidly grew deep within Hoshimiya Mukuro's heart.

What exactly was it? A sll? A sound? Temperature? Light? Color?

Before Mukuro could figure out what it was, her mind was buried by this unknown, falling into a blank state.
