Light from spirit power flickered among several piles of rubble. Wizards slowly crawled out from the ruins, locked their gazes onto Natsumi, and charged forward without hesitation with blades raised.
In an instant, a trace of fear flashed through Natsumi's eyes, but she still cald herself and waited for the right mont.
(The one at the left front is just a vertical slash. There are two flanking from both rear sides. Don't be afraid. Move two steps forward to the right, then raise the sword and block the attack.)
Because of that, although the enhancent from spirit power made each slash from the Wizards extrely swift and fierce, their movents were very monotonous. Even though Natsumi was not good at swordsmanship, she could still avoid their attacks without too much danger.
(Now!)
"—Hmph!"
Natsumi exhaled forcefully, swung the greatsword in her hand, and swept aside the Wizards' weapons.
Taking advantage of the opening when the Wizards lost their balance, the Sandalphon in Natsumi's hand suddenly broke apart and reconstructed itself into a key shaped staff.
Michael—Segva!
Without hesitation, Natsumi stabbed Michael into the opponent's body and twisted it. In an instant, as if color had faded away, the muddy spirit power vanished from the armor. Very quickly, the Wizards who had been as troubleso as zombies collapsed to the ground like puppets with their strings cut.
At the sa ti, Westcott's light applause reached Natsumi's ears.
"Well done. But it isn't over yet."
Before Natsumi could even catch her breath, she raised her head and saw that the Nibelcoles she had just blown away had already recovered. Under Westcott's command, they ford a hemisphere around Natsumi and surrounded her.
"Father! Who is the little bird we've trapped?"
"Do you even need to ask? Of course it's Itsuka Shido!"
"Haha, you won't be able to play dirty this ti!"
No longer needing to worry about being sealed by Itsuka Shido's flying kiss, the Nibelcoles closed their eyes without fear, folding Beelzebub's pages into paper weapons while giggling noisily.
(Defend! I can't dodge this!)
Seeing the spirit power paper weapons attacking from all directions, Natsumi hurriedly transford Michael into Zadkiel and condensed walls of ice to protect herself.
tatron—Shesh!
After enduring one round of bombardnt from Nibelcole, Natsumi dispelled Zadkiel without hesitation and switched from defense to offense.
The thick, heavy ice instantly turned into faint mist, transforming into glittering feathers. They aid at the surrounding Nibelcoles and fired a dense barrage of beams.
However, what disappointed Natsumi was that the Nibelcoles suddenly scattered at that mont. As if they had predicted her movent in advance, they skillfully dodged tatron's lasers.
Seeing her attack miss, Natsumi could not help gritting her teeth and glaring at Westcott in the distance.
"Don't glare at like that, Itsuka Shido. I didn't cheat with Beelzebub."
Westcott shrugged and explained with a smile.
"I rely carried out a little investigation before the battle regarding the Spirit abilities you possess, their uses, and how they are used. After all, we've been fighting for so long. It's only normal to make so preparations, isn't it?"
After saying that, Westcott did not launch another attack. Instead, he watched Itsuka Shido with great interest, waiting for her next move.
"—Hmph!"
Facing Westcott's contempt, Shido did not answer. He rely snorted coldly and manipulated tatron in the sky.
The pure white wings of light bypassed Nibelcole and spread across the sky above the two of them. They rotated slightly, aiming their muzzles at the ground.
In the next instant, countless rays of light poured down like a torrential rain. A fierce white radiance, accompanied by roaring explosions, engulfed the entire area.
Westcott instinctively narrowed his eyes and opened a spirit-power barrier to block the roaring rain of light. When the intense light and smoke finally scattered, Westcott opened his eyes and looked around. Itsuka Shido was already nowhere to be seen.
"No way! He ran again!"
"Just now he was shalessly boasting that he'd defeat Father, but this is all he amounts to?"
"Haha, how la!"
Ignoring the surrounding Nibelcoles, Westcott recalled Itsuka Shido's actions just now, and a thoughtful look appeared on his face.
"So, Father, what do we do next?"
At that mont, a nearby Nibelcole tilted her head cutely and asked.
"Ah, about that—"
Westcott was about to answer, but when he saw a flash of green light pass over the other party's hand, he seed to suddenly realize sothing. He abruptly took a step back, widening the distance between himself and the Nibelcole before him.
The next instant, a key-shaped crosier stabbed into the spot where he had just been standing.
Seeing one of their own attack Westcott, the other Nibelcoles widened their eyes in shock.
"Are you insane? You actually attacked Father?"
"Rebellious phase!? Is this the legendary rebellious phase?"
"No! Wait! That one isn't us!"
"—Tch!"
Seeing that her sneak attack had failed, Natsumi clicked her tongue in regret and changed back into Itsuka Shido's appearance.
"I see. You used tatron's bombardnt as a smokescreen, then used Haniel to blend in among Nibelcole, and finally used Michael to try to seal my Beelzebub."
After admiringly explaining Natsumi's tactic, Westcott smiled and shook his head.
"Unfortunately, if you could use two or more Angels at the sa ti without switching between them, perhaps I would have already fallen for it."
"So I was exposed after all…"
Natsumi sighed, as expected.
Even after transforming into Itsuka Shido and imitating Shido's power with a complete Astral Dress, Natsumi and Itsuka Shido were fundantally different.
Shido, who possessed multiple spirit powers, could use Camael and Ratziel's help to control several Angels at the sa ti. But for Natsumi, who only had Haniel, aside from her own transformation ability, she could only continuously switch Angel abilities through Kaleidoscope.
Although Natsumi had considerable confidence in her control over her own spirit power, the tiny fluctuation of spirit power that occurred the instant she changed Angels had still alerted Westcott.
"Correction. That is not your Demon King. It is Nia's Angel. Also—"
After taking a helpless deep breath, Natsumi seed to make so sort of decision and looked at Westcott with a serious expression.
"You will regret not being sealed by just now, Westcott." (TL:ugh I love this part so much)
"Oh? Do you still have another move prepared?"
Noticing that Itsuka Shido had not lost heart at all, Westcott could not help growing a little curious.
Once again manifesting Sandalphon in her hand, Natsumi poured all the remaining spirit power in her body into it. At the sa ti, she raised her left foot and stomped hard on the ground.
"Halvanhelev!"
Along with Natsumi's roar, an illusory golden throne slowly rose from the earth.
Oh? Westcott looked at the scene before him with slight surprise.
Although the throne was incomplete, it was indeed Sandalphon's finishing move. And according to the information he had, Haniel should not be capable of imitating sothing to this degree.
Rather, if she had imitated it this far, then she was already nearly indistinguishable from the real thing.
"Interesting. This truly is beyond my expectations."
Perhaps because his curiosity as a researcher had stirred, Westcott did not order the Nibelcole to interrupt Itsuka Shido's charge. He observed with great interest.
Gradually, the illusory throne began to gain substance. Then it split into several parts and wrapped around Sandalphon's blade, transforming into a shocking greatsword several ters long.
Sweat poured from Natsumi's forehead. Her face was sowhat pale. To recreate this strongest strike, she had almost exhausted all her spirit power.
"Westcott!"
Slowly raising Halvanhelev with both hands, Natsumi suddenly gave him a warning, as if returning the favor for his patience just now.
"Don't die."
The next mont, a vast sword light surged straight into the sky. The dazzling radiance of spirit power swallowed Westcott and tore through the earth.
"Hahahaha—hahahaha!"
Facing this ferocious attack, Westcott laughed loudly without the slightest tension. He neither retreated nor dodged. Instead, he boldly chose to et it head-on.
He knew all the abilities of the Spirits. Naturally, he had long since prepared counterasures against the Spirits' finishing moves.
The destructive power, attack range, and damage duration of Halvanhelev—Westcott already knew them all clearly.
"Fifty percent… no, at most only forty percent of its power."
At that mont, the surviving Nibelcoles gathered to protect Westcott.
However, even if it was not the original, a simulated pseudo Spirit could not possibly block Sandalphon's strongest attack. In an instant, they turned into particles of light and vanished.
However, Nibelcole's advantage lay in numbers. As long as Beelzebub remained, they could continue wearing it down without end.
In the end, the fierce torrent of spirit power gradually dissipated, and Westcott slowly walked out from within it.
However, he had not escaped completely unhard. Although most of the impact had been neutralized, the violent spirit power had still burned his right leg.
That level of injury, however, was not a serious matter to Westcott. After all, strictly speaking, what he had just faced was not a Spirit using a Partial Astral Dress, but a Spirit in a complete state.
"Unfortunately, I win this ga."
Westcott said proudly.
"In that case, I'll be taking the Witch's Sephira Crystal."
"Hmph—It's hard to say that yet."
"—?"
Hearing the voice from the other side of the dust cloud, Westcott's brow moved slightly.
As a gust of wind rose, the covering dust was blown away. What appeared before Westcott's eyes was Itsuka Shido with both hands pressed together and held at his waist.
Itsuka Shido suddenly thrust both hands forward and roared loudly.
"Roaring! Flash! Blast! Wave!!!!!!"
The next mont, an astonishing beam shot from Itsuka Shido's hands.
"What…"
For the first ti, a confused expression appeared on Westcott's face.
A chant he had never heard before. It was not an Angel's true na, nor was it a magical incantation.
Unknown aning. Unknown power. Unknown effect. A completely mysterious existence.
Unknown?
Watching the beam gradually approach, Westcott finally could not hold back and opened Beelzebub, using omniscience.
However, after learning the truth of that beam, the confusion on Westcott's face did not decrease. It only increased.
He did not dodge, nor did he open a barrier. Westcott allowed the beam to pass through his body.
Not a single hair was hard. Just as Beelzebub had said, this seemingly frightening beam was rely a bluff Natsumi had created with the last trace of her spirit power.
What was the purpose of this? Westcott looked ahead in complete confusion. At that mont, the boy before him had finally exhausted even the power to disguise himself, and transford back into the original small green haired girl, collapsing to the ground.
However, in the sa second, so unknown flying object appeared before Westcott. It seed Natsumi had thrown it while his attention was stolen by the beam.
—Candy?
Before Westcott could understand the intention behind this action, that delicate piece of candy suddenly made a strange "boom!" sound.
The next second, an unexpected familiar figure appeared before Westcott.
A blue high ponytail, a slightly childish tear mole, and the face of a middle school girl who looked sowhat similar to Itsuka Shido. Wearing dark blue armor, she stared at Westcott with cold eyes full of killing intent.
"Long ti no see, Westcott. And now—"
A sharp laser blade flashed by in an instant. Without giving him the slightest chance to resist, Westcott's body was cut into several pieces like dismantled building blocks.
"Farewell."
Bathed in the spraying crimson, Mana whispered with an unchanged expression.
(TL:my goat Natsumi!! I love this scene...though later....)
