"In fact, I don't know either, how he had this kind of confidence. Going by what you said, you were polluted by Joker's madness the first ti we t. So, it could be said that, possibly, from the first ti we t, Morbid had such confidence in ."
"Professor Shearer, for all of us, you have so sort of judgnt that's based on more than just the facts. Though I don't know where this judgnt cos from, it is clear that you have confidence in it."
Shiller seed a little stupefied. What Bruce said was absurd, but also very reasonable.
Of course, Shiller knew where his judgnt of everyone in Gotham beyond the facts ca from - where else could it have co from? He was a transmigrator, and this was the world of a comic he had read.
Therefore, what Bruce ntioned about Morbid possibly doing seed very reasonable.
Morbid was Shiller, too, and his understanding of Batman was the sa as everyone else's — Batman was the smartest person in the cosmos, he had the answers to all problems.
Possibly, this included the fundantal cure for a person with autism.
Shiller leaned on the umbrella he had propped against the ground because he felt a little dizzy.
He thought of another fact — all his talents and intelligence ca from Morbid. It was the scholar-type autism that gave him mory, logic, and reasoning abilities far beyond ordinary people.
Morbid was the true genius that was Shiller.
When it cos to arranging a sche as long as a ball of yarn, then winding it into a ball, Morbid Shiller was both the founder and the unparalleled champion.
"After realizing this, I imdiately contacted Davis by bribing many participants of the 'Lamb Plan'. It wasn't hard. Not many people in this world want to deal with criminals out of hatred or a sense of justice. Most people just want to earn their living."
Amanda, on the side, stared wide-eyed at Davis who had previously handed the remote control over to Bruce. Davis gently exhaled and looked at Amanda, saying, "I need to give my ex-wife and daughter more than 300,000 US dollars in alimony every year. I still dream of getting my daughter a violin."
"Through Davis, I found out that Amanda has a feud with you. She tried to control you through Dr. FitzGibbon's results, and I realized, this may be a good opportunity."
"So, I had Davis contact Dr. FitzGibbon, who then injected the nano neural controller into your spine, but swapped the remote control. The real remote control is now in my hand."
Bruce shook the remote device in his hand. Shiller snorted and said, "What use does the remote have? I can control the Gray Mist anyti to devour those nanobots."
"You certainly can, but I should remind you, Morbid likes them. Plus, he just broke his own rules, to prevent you from becoming even more humiliated, using special abilities."
Shiller's expression imdiately froze, and Bruce revealed a smile, saying, "This is what I ant about love, the part that, within the patriarchy, is separate from power."
Shiller knew that for those with autism, they preferred days upon days of regular, repetitive life. When their life routines were suddenly disrupted, so autistic individuals would exhibit extre anxiety and irritability, just like in the movie "Rain Man".
Shiller took a deep breath, he also knew that Morbid had been there since his birth. He was more adapted to the original world where no one had superpowers. This was part of his life routine: to actively disrupt such a routine would surely cause pain.
In reality, Morbid tily used Flash, only allowing a bit of the blood Bruce poured into his mouth to be choked down, while most still remained in the mouth.
If Bruce had truly poured all that blood into Shiller's mouth just now, then Arrogant Schiller, who had mysophobia, wouldn't have simply coughed.
Arrogant Shiller could never accept drinking blood, especially blood that hadn't been disinfected, heated, or treated in any way.
Shiller's arrogance was, in part, expressed through the posture of a civilized and elegant modern person. Drinking blood like this, how was it different from a primitive person?
More importantly, as a teacher, Arrogant Shiller always insisted on certain rules. Drinking his student's blood would be the most ruthless breakage of these rules.
The more terrifying thing is, for an obsessive-compulsive patient, it's not enough to just vomit out what's been swallowed, just like taking a photo to confirm that the door is locked can't suppress the urge to go back and check again.
The firmly ingrained imperfect facts can cause severe anxiety, not less than the symptoms of broccoli allergy.
Shiller stood in place, taking several deep breaths. He glanced down at his blood-stained hand, and his Adam's apple bobbed slightly, appeared to be suppressing uncomfortable expressions.
At that mont, a towel was handed over. Bruce walked in front of Shiller, proffering the towel forward, and said, "Here."
Shiller coughed a few tis, the sll of blood filling his nose and mouth made him feel quite unwell. Consequently, he took the towel and wiped the blood off his face, his neck, and his hand.
Bruce, however, walked back to the entrance, whispered sothing to Davis.
About a minute later, the door was forcefully thrown open with a 'bang', and the fully ard security personnel stord in, aiming their guns at Shiller in the room.
"Stand back against the wall right now! We are arresting you!"
Accompanied by the shout of the leading security personnel, several escorts behind him pushed in the cage in which Shiller was originally transported.
Shiller's eyes fell on Bruce's face. Bruce just said expressionlessly, "I'm sorry, Professor, visiting hours are over. You should go back."
"Or, you can turn into a gray mist and leave. After all, all sorts of troubles related to will find you soon enough."
Seeing Shiller's expression gradually growing cold, Bruce looked down at the ground before raising his eyes to him and saying, "Trust , the prison is not imprisoning you, but your sanctuary. These tight security asures are to ensure that trouble will not find you."
Shiller let out a cold chuckle, and as he raised his hands to let the approaching escorts put him in a restraint suit, he looked into Bruce's eyes and said, "....This is actually personal, isn't it?"
Bruce calmly nodded. He said, "One of the benefits of accepting my illness is that I don't have to be a saint anymore, and certainly, I can fight back in revenge."
Shiller took a deep breath, then nodded with force, and laughed in a low voice:
"I'd never have thought that in this world, there would be a Batman wielding love as a weapon, let alone the day when Batman would admit to being biased."
Bruce slowly walked up to Shiller, he took the face mask from the hand of an escort and buckled it on Shiller's face.
In the empty room, Bruce held the mask in place with his hand, looking into Shiller's eyes and said, "...Neither did I."
Shiller sharply tilted his head to the side, shaking off the mask, then stared at Bruce and said, "Out of respect for our teacher-student relationship, let make a call before you gag ."
Bruce stared at him for a while, both of their faces remained calm, yet under the placid surface of their silence seed to harbor raging billows.
After a few seconds, Bruce slowly turned his head to Davis and nodded. Soon, a telephone was brought over. Shiller stated the number, Bruce dialed it, and then Bruce held the receiver to Shiller's ear.
After a few busy signals, Shiller spoke into it.
"Lucifer, a son has defeated his father and assud the throne."
"I'm willing to admit defeat. I want to preserve the last little dignity, hence I wouldn't get tangled up in it, and of course, I will set him free."
"Now, the cover for the outside of this car belongs to you. Open the door."
