"Have you noticed a problem?" Constantine tapped on his knee and said, "Their maturity lies in the fact that they did not allow the imagined attacks in their minds to affect their judgnt of reality."

Sitting at the back of the theater, Diana opened her mouth and said, "They have blocked their sense of crisis and are conversing in the purest rational stance, which is a very, very difficult thing. When humans feel threatened, they will unknowingly show aggressiveness. This is the instinct of biological self-defense."

"I'm just tired watching." Clark shook his head and said, "They suppress human nature too much. It could be described as overdone, like two emotionless logic machines. In the probing process, they judge the other party's attitude purely rationally without involving any personal emotions, just like a bystander."

"This is what I an. They didn't destroy their feelings. They just turned their intense emotions into sothing higher, overlooking others, and overseeing themselves." Greed said.

"People often say, where reason ends, sentint begins. After all, the motivation behind all rational logical analysis is still emotions, and where sentint ends, rationality can also begin. The repressed intense emotions make their souls hover above their heads. They are not two people who hate each other, but calm and composed gods."

"I don't want to beco such a god, I just think they are sick." Clark said.

"So does God," said Lucifer.

"Director Gordon, I am a foreigner who has recently co here, so I want to ask you for a favor." In the cold storage, Shiller turned and looked at Gordon.

Gordon shook his head gently, pressed a button on the wall, and the door of the cold storage opened. He made a please gesture and then said, "It's a bit cold here, let's talk outside."

A few minutes later, Shiller was sitting in the visitor's room of the Gotham Police Departnt with a cup of hot coffee. He took a gentle blow at the cup, slowly opened the fingers of his other hand, and said:

"... That's it. I need a temporary residence, a house where I can lodge. Renting or buying is okay."

Gordon sat opposite him and smiled, "Of course, I'd be happy to help such a gentleman like you, and I hope your profound knowledge can enrich the culture of this city."

Then he showed a sowhat embarrassed expression and said, "However, I don't know if those mundane houses standing above the marketplace and full of complexities will et your needs..."

"I am more accustod to living alone, because ..."

"Because it's convenient to deal with bodies."

Batman broke the harmonious dialogue atmosphere between Gordon and Shiller with another sentence.

So, Shiller turned around, looked over the sofa at Batman, who was fiddling with a crystal glass by the bookshelf, and said, "The detective who likes to attract attention with startling statents is here, it's surprising."

Batman didn't care, he just said, "I'll find you a house in Kazsow, not far from the Gotham river. It's a lonely three-story mansion. The forr owner was a mber of the Spanish royal family. The balcony of the third floor is close to the river, and opposite is the viewing path in the Gotham Wealthy Area.

"Then I can leave the house just ten minutes earlier, walk across to hunt, and then throw the prey from the balcony on the 3rd floor. The next morning, the body will float downstream of the Gotham River, your first patrol station."

Shiller followed seamlessly. He took a sip of hot coffee to warm up his body, let out a satisfied sigh, shook his head gently, and said:

"Unfortunately, a wealthy person taking a walk after a al, a harmonious and loving family trio, and an active pet dog don't arouse my hatred or killing desire. But I do need such a house. Can I go and see my future place?"

After that, Shiller stood up straight away. He fastened his suit and looked ready to go. Batman didn't show any impatience. One or two probes were nothing to him. He just nodded calmly and said, "Gordon, is your car still parked at the old place?"

Gordon didn't answer, only watched the two of them leave. It was obvious that Batman was still not using interrogative sentences. He didn't need to borrow the car key, and didn't need to ask where Gordon's car was parked.

At the sa ti, Gordon also knew what he should do next. After so many years of cooperation with Batman, he understood the hints of his old friend too well. Batman could have continued to drive his Batmobile, but he didn't, implying that it was ti for Gordon to do sothing.

Indeed, once Batman got into the car, he saw information about the Errimu Charity Foundation in the passenger seat.

The information ntioned that Errimu had selected two boys and one girl from three orphanages in Gotham and found new hos for them.

But as Gordon said, this was just a show. Two of the three children had already returned to the orphanage because they couldn't get along with their new families and were returned.

As Batman drove, he moved his gaze to the information about the last girl. He read her na softly, "Nemocine."

"In mory of early etings,

only Mnemosyne, goddess,

Cos to console his adversity.

So Apollo's girlfriend

in the quiet forest of Mount Helikon,

presents a joyful fruit."

With a tone as light-hearted as singing, Shiller recited a poem. Batman put down the information, turned to him slightly and said, "Do you like Russian literature?"

"It's just that this na reminds of this poem. Nemocine, the goddess of mory, writing, and language in Greek mythology. Therefore, she is particularly favored by Pushkin."

The frequency of Batman's blinking accelerated slightly. The shadow cast by his eyelashes made his deep blue eyes more turbid. He looked up at the mirror on his head and t Shiller's gray eyes. When their eyes t, both of them tacitly looked away.

Soon, the car arrived at the destination. This is an old residential area on the east bank of the Gotham River. It is not a wealthy area, nor a middle-class community, but it is not a slum either. It's a playground left by European rich n who invested in Gotham years ago, mostly public facilities, such as clinics, shops, and dance halls.

But the developnt on the west bank was better later, and the new rich all moved over there. This community is in a half-abandoned state, and it is connected to a community with poor security in the south, so there are not many residents.

Following a narrow alley to the edge of the river, walked along the path for a while to the door of this house. This is a single three-story mansion, no front yard like a manor, so there are no fences and gates, just three steps and a small porch.

Turn right along the porch to the garage. Judging from the structure of the house, there should be a larger garage or warehouse at the back.

Shiller looked up slightly at the paint on the outside wall. This is not a very old house. Although it has been so years since it was built, it can't compare with his previous manor.

Shiller looked down at the tal door handle, stepped back slightly, and made way for Batman.

Batman didn't step forward, he just stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking at Shiller and said, "The door is unlocked."

"But I really can't disarm the electric shock device."
