In the laboratory of the Stark Building, Peter spread his hands out and said, "That's the situation - the two vampire factions and the so-called arrival of the Bat God. What do you all think about it?"
Stark, while repairing his cha, responded, "Just as expected, the Moderate Faction are only moderate on the surface. Yet a good number of people have fallen for their deceptive rhetoric. They keep calling for an end to the conflict, and people genuinely believe these vampires will coexist peacefully with the human race."
With a furrowed brow, Shiller asked, "Are you certain that Deacon firmly believes that the Bat God's power will descend upon us?"
"Yes, and he even specified the exact ti - tonight, when the moon's light is at its brightest."
"Does it descend directly without any ceremony?"
"That's what I was made to understand. He emphasized specifically that there is nothing we could do to counter it."
Watching Shiller deep in thought, Steve, while nding his damaged shield, said, "This is rather peculiar, isn't it? I've also fought plenty of evil creatures, and their so-called godly descents are nothing more than strange thods to bolster their own power. Yet now, he actually claims that a god's guard will personally descend. Who could that be?"
Seemingly having a hypothesis, Shiller said, "We shall find out tonight."
As soon as he finished speaking, Nick's call ca through. Shiller spoke into the phone, "... Oh really? Alright then, send soone to pick up... The docunts are all sorted out? In that case, just send them over directly..."
"What are you up to?" Stark asked, sticking his head out from behind the cha.
Jarvis chid in with two beeps, "Mr. Shiller, your docunts have been transmitted to printer No.1..."
Shiller walked to the printer, picked up the stack of papers, skimd through them, then remarked, "The experts that Nick found aren't half bad. The organization of the docunts is quite professional."
Curious, Steve moved closer. Peter also craned his neck to see. Truthfully, they felt quite anxious about so of Shiller's plans at the mont. You never knew whether his plan would be brilliant or disastrous.
Steve glimpsed a few words on the docunts and asked bafflingly, "Bat bloodline theory analysis basis? What's that? Bats also have a bloodline theory?"
"I have a question for you guys." Shiller rapped on the table, attracting everyone's attention.
"Suppose, just suppose, that there is indeed a factor in the vampires' blood that prolongs life. Do you think that this factor would be present in the blood of all vampires?"
"Um... wouldn't it be?" Peter scratched his head in confusion.
"Then, would you think that the concentrations of this factor in their blood would vary? Would advanced vampires, those who can use magic, possess more of these factors than others?"
Steve opened his mouth and said, "I'm not quite sure how to answer that, because I honestly don't believe that their blood contains a factor for immortality..."
Stark, however, with a tight-lipped smile, said, "Actually, it makes so sense. Advanced vampires know more magic, are stronger, and can transform into bigger bats than regular vampires. Logically speaking, their blood should indeed be more effective."
"That actually does make sense." Peter, crossing his arms, remarked, "Otherwise, what would be the difference between them and the vampires who can't use magic?"
"So, if we reverse reason, can we assu that the more of this factor a vampire's blood contains, the purer their bloodline is?"
The sound of Stark rapping on his cha ceased. He wasn't stupid; he imdiately grasped Shiller's aning. He said, sounding rather absurd, "You're not thinking of letting humans define which vampires are the pure blood vampires, are you?"
"Why not?" Shiller spread his hands wide and said, "Now, humans have found the mysterious factor in their blood. We've conducted a series of rigorous scientific analyses and finally drawn a conclusion - the amount of this factor varies amongst different vampires."
"Indeed, we use scientific thods while they are magical creatures. However, they've been using magic for so many years, and they still don't know where their bloodline originates from."
"We're only offering them a possibility, a small chance discovery."
"Humans are just observing from an objective perspective and conducting a series of analyses. Of course, there is a reason why human technology has developed so rapidly. Our analysis is very ticulous. Look..."
Shiller placed the papers on the table, pointing them out to the others who were gathered, "Look here, this is a conclusion given by the Vatican's theological research experts. They nad the Eternal Life Factor as 'Cain's Blood.' They believe that all the current vampires are Cain's descendants, and the higher the concentration of this factor, the closer their blood relationship with Cain, hence, the nobler the bloodline."
"And this report was given by Osborn. He believes that the Eternal Life Factor provides vampires with imnse power. The more of this factor a vampire has, the stronger it is. Therefore, the difference in the factor's quantity is the actual difference between advanced vampires and ordinary vampires."
