All those behind the defense line saw a tiny figure, lost under the sea of bats, shoot two webs at two nearby buildings.

No one occupied the two buildings anymore, their structures already teetering after the last night's battle. This ti, the webs Spider-Man shot were black and topped with a large net, which stuck to most of the building facades.

Then, with a burst of strength from his arms, Spider-Man began to contract the webs inwards, the two buildings creaked with ear-grating sounds, starting to tilt slowly.

To the astonishnt of all onlookers, the two massive buildings ca crashing down, stirring up dust clouds. The first wave of bats charging towards the defense line had not anticipated this and were promptly buried under the collapsed buildings.

Everyone there was stunned.

Those were two buildings several stories tall!

In the past battles, Peter played more of a role with maximum agility. Wherever an unexpected event occurred, he would be the first one there, either repairing the defense structures or escorting the wounded, playing more of a auxiliary role.

This was the first ti everyone realized how powerful Spider-Man was. Stark's ch's mask lifted to reveal him staring at Peter, realizing that Peter showed no signs of fatigue.

When the buildings collapsed, Peter deftly dodged them. Then, he pulled up a truck next to him and tossed it towards any bats that managed to avoid the falling buildings. The giant truck, with tires as tall as a person, was like a small stone in his hand.

Stark swallowed, Steve asked, "Can your ch do that at full strength?"

Stark hesitated for a mont and said, "Well, it can, but not in the way he's exerting his force. It needs leverage. It's not scientific..."

"His limits should be much higher than this." Steve crossed his arms and watched Spider-Man who had flocked to the center of the battlefield.

As a fellow physical mutant, Steve knew it well. He said, "Peter's power is still far from fully realized. His limits must be frighteningly high."

Stark frowned and said anxiously, "I'm starting to feel the pressure. If it's as you say, then his Spider-sense could truly predict the future."

"I'm speaking of the future," Steve said to Stark. "Up to now, Peter is still in the adaptation phase. The power this mutation gave him hasn't reached its peak yet, nor has his Spider-sense."

"Honestly, I find it a little strange. Peter told that he rarely saw full-fledged images through his Spider-sense, let alone for such a long ti, such as when you ejected from your ch and fell to the ground. That is too specific."

"Could his Spider-sense decipher cara shots? Like first capturing the environnt, then recording the action of ejecting from your ch and falling, and finally picturing the result of landing. Even if it is a prediction, it can't be this clear, right?"

"Now that you've ntioned it, sothing doesn't seem right," Stark said with doubt. "Peter never ntioned that he could predict the future, let alone this clearly."

"Maybe he'll achieve it in the future," Steve concluded. "But as we see it now, the Spider-sense ability, which matches his current strength, shouldn't have such clear predictions."

"No matter what, I still need to be cautious. If what you've said is true, then things might get tricky."

Spider-Man halted the first wave of the fiercest attack, which bought the rear defense line a breather.

When the second wave of bats attacked, they beca wiser. They no longer plunged straight down from the sky, but so changed into their humanoid form to assist with the ground assault, reducing the human race's anti-air firepower.

After a day's preparation, the human race's firepower greatly increased. Thanks to Pierce's and Nick's manipulations, all the defense forces received enough heavy firepower supply. Under such circumstances, the advantage of the human race's weaponry ca into full play.

Most human heavy weapons triggered high heat and explosions, which was exactly what the vampires were most afraid of. Not to ntion the targeted damage, splash damage was also high.

At so crucial defense points, they placed barrels that could be detonated by a sniper. When necessary, they could use the explosion and flas from the barrels to disrupt the bats' attack rhythm.

At first, the entire defense rhythm went smoothly, with alternating weapon covers and defense line pushes. They even counter-attacked to the entrance of the Brooklyn Bridge in a short ti.

But soon, many problems erged. For example, humans underestimated these bats' fearso fighting spirit, or perhaps these bats had been controlled by sothing, turning into frenzied cannon fodder.

Hawkeye just detonated a barrel, severely wounding a bat and setting another on fire. Yet the afla bat, instead of backing off, charged into the nearest machine-gun base with the flas all over it.

Despite the machine gunner's preparation, one of them was set on fire. If not for his companion imdiately putting the fla out, he would not have survived.

But the burn wound made him unable to continue fighting, and he was quickly taken away by a hexagonal nut-shaped robot.
