Due to the existence of the Magical Defense Network and The Ancient One's watchful gaze, Demon Gods are now unable to fully view the other party's mories before making a pact. Xeseon read so surface thoughts and felt that there were no issues, mostly anxious and eager emotions along with a little fantasy about after winning. It's very normal.
So, the only thing to worry about is the compatibility between them. Most Demon Gods and humans are not a perfect match. So humans cannot withstand certain types of special powers. Xeseon is uncertain if he drives a girl mad over this, whether The Ancient One will co for him. But he still decided to send a bit of power to test it out.
All of a sudden, Harley felt sothing extra in her soul. The feeling was amazing, like watching an ice cube inside a glass jar. She knew it was nearly invisible to the naked eye, yet she could still spot so traces from the reflection of the light.
"God!" Harley instinctively exclaid, "Is this magic power? Have I gained control over it?"
Such a fledgeling, Xeseon thought, but for his future plans, he still had to reassure her, "Yes, this is magic. Our compatibility is quite good. Your soul is imbued with a kind of darkness and Chaos that I couldn't interpret, but it might be your unique talent. It's very suitable for the Chaotic Power, you've found the right person."
"You talk too much, Mr. Xeseon."
"That's because we have already reached an agreent. You just used that power. No refunds."
