"You shouldn't have pressured Paul like that. He's completely mad now, and too close to the upper-class." Brad said, "The reason I let him be when he was in the Lower city area is because no one there would exploit him to destroy the human race. But it's different in the Upper city area."

"That damn Heresy has never given up; they've always been trying to fulfill the Prediction. Previously, because of my existence, it's been difficult for them to get to Paul, only attempting from other aspects."

"But now, you've let Paul wander among them, inevitably he might step into a trap. If he really gets controlled, that would be trouble."

Shiller wasn't listening to Brad at all because in his view, Brad, who had been deceived for so long, was no match for the Order Sect, and any suggestion from a defeated subordinate was not worth listening to.

Of course, Shiller didn't think that the Order Sect had no intention of targetting Paul. They were prepared for either case; if Paul was watched too closely, they'd send Batman into play. If Batman was no good, they'd switch to Paul. Either way, they wouldn't lose out.

But Shiller felt that right now, they would still prefer Batman, because Brad was constantly watching over Paul, and if they were to make a move on Paul, they'd have to confront the Demon head-on, which was totally unnecessary.

Shiller always followed one principle, which is to force the enemy to do what they least want to do.

Just right, Brad has been too comfortable in his nice house for too long; it's ti for him to co out and do so real work.

Shiller casually brushed him off with a few perfunctory words, then sent Brad away. What he needed to do now was to make sure that Batman was also out of play for the Order Sect, to confirm that Batman let them down so that they would turn their attention back to Paul, and then clash with Debra.

Shiller picked up his phone and called Bruce.

"Hello, Bruce, take so people and blow up Wayne Manor."

Bruce at the other end of the phone spat out a mouthful of water.

Isn't fusion with the Joker supposed to be the Arrogant one? And I've already stopped being Batman, so why is the terrorist bombing maniac still after ?!

"I'm not going." Bruce said, "Blowing up a hospital is one thing, but why should I blow up my own ho from another cosmos? What if Batman finds out, wouldn't I be done for?"

No matter what Shiller said next, Bruce adamantly refused to go. Bruce's main concern was if Batman from this universe found out, and later he went to Battleworld, then his hard-earned reputation would be completely ruined.

Of course, he didn't care about his reputation among the Batn; he didn't have much of a reputation in this group anymore. What he cared about was his image with other superheroes, like Superman. He was counting on those Kryptonian rescue dogs to be overrun with Sympathy and to help him out with his tasks.

Bruce's unwillingness to get involved was no issue; Shiller directly approached Joker Maria. Due to previous deals, Maria had acquired a substantial amount of funds from Shiller, and his base was now complete.

In the new base, Maria greeted Shiller and after hearing his purpose, he was sowhat hesitant.

"I an, buddy, are you the Joker or am I the Joker?"

"I'm building my empire with high walls at leisure here, and you're planning to blow up Batman's ancestral ho directly?"

"Otherwise, you might as well change the kings in the deck of cards from Joker to Shiller."

Blowing up Wayne Manor is not an ordinary matter; even if Wayne Manor now only had Batman left alive in it, it was not sothing you could easily blow up.

What about the security System? How are the bombs placed? How to transmit the detonation signal? If Batman isn't killed, how do you face the ensuing pursuit?

Shiller waved his hand indicating all of these were trivial matters.

The security system had long been cracked by Bruce, now it could be shut down with a word. As long as you can make the bomb, I can find a way to get it inside. Using traditional fuse ignition eliminates the need for a transmission signal. Even blowing up Batman half to death shouldn't worry about pursuing matters.

Joker gave Shiller a thumbs up after seeing how precise the plan was.

This wasn't Shiller being careless, but in comic storylines, Wayne Manor actually did get blown up, by the Death Angel no less.

Death Angel guy, without education or skill, could succeed in one go, it would be unreasonable if the combination of Shiller and Joker couldn't succeed.

Anyways, one way or another, Joker handed Shiller a big bomb, enough to blast Wayne Manor into the sky. And Shiller, in a face-saving way, drew Joker's iconic smiley face on the bomb, making it crystal clear to Batman who prepared this surprise for him.

Although he really didn't like the Morbid entanglent between Batman and Joker, he did like their attitude of being eager to take the bla the mont sothing happened to the other.

This big bomb was indeed not small; it needed a large box truck just to be transported. Joker was also very curious about how Shiller planned to get such a big thing into Wayne Manor.

Even without the security system, Batman isn't blind. How could he not notice such a huge object suddenly appearing in his own ho?

The Joker watched with his own eyes as Shiller hired a moving company to load the thing up, and the truck drove straight to the entrance of Wayne Manor.

Then Batman ca out to greet them, and after so exchange, he opened the main gates of Wayne Manor, allowing the vehicle carrying the large bomb to drive straight in, parking beside the building.

Shiller took a lighter and walked directly into the van, lighting the fuse. Batman didn't even take a glance inside the vehicle before heading back into the main hall of Wayne Manor.

The bomb exploded just like that.

Watching from the side, The Joker's CPU burned out, starting to wonder if he had put too much pressure on Batman lately, causing him not to want to live anymore. What kind of move was this?!

For Shiller, this was all too easy; he had chosen the sa moving company that he had previously forced to move the city governnt.

He then told Batman that the city's funds were insufficient, the city governnt would close its doors for another month, and their mayor wanted to suffer together with the citizens once again.

Without any surprise or additional questions, Batman just let him in.

The mont the bomb exploded, Shiller used gray mist to pull both Batman and the driver out. But due to the fierce explosion, nobody could see what exactly happened at the explosion's center, nor did they see any survivors escaping.

With the explosion of Wayne Manor, the news that billionaire Bruce Wayne might have died in the blast quickly topped dia headlines.

But no one showed any surprise, or even bothered to investigate.

The reason was simple; too many such incidents had happened lately, all the work of the Death Angel. Bomb a mansion today, burn a company tomorrow, many were just waiting to see when the madman would target the wealthiest, Bruce Wayne.

The news of the explosion at Wayne Manor made everyone comnt that it was expected, and indeed Wayne could not escape the clutches of the Death Angel.

Not to ntion Shiller, who seed uninvolved, even The Joker was hidden in this case; no one paid attention to the source of the bomb, it was just ascribed to the Death Angel, and that was that.

If there was any direct victim in this situation, it was probably Mr. Freeze, Victor.

He was utterly baffled as he watched Shiller moving a Batman ice sculpture off the truck.

Shiller patted his shoulder and said, "Congratulations, Mr. Freeze. You've achieved sothing that no super villain in all of Gotham has done; you've successfully kidnapped Batman."

Mr. Freeze just stared dumbfounded at him.

"Don't worry, if you end up in the hospital later, I'll reserve the best ward for you... As for why you might be hospitalized, don't worry about that."

Could Mr. Freeze not know why? The Batman inside the ice sculpture was conscious, and he had appeared in front of Batman without any disguise or covering his face. Being held accountable later was only a matter of ti.

No matter how much Mr. Freeze cursed in his heart, Shiller still dumped the frozen Batman on him, mainly because he genuinely had nowhere to put it; he couldn't possibly bring it to the city hall office, right? It would be embarrassing if it were to be "worn away" unfortunately.

With the death of Bruce Wayne, it was like setting off a bomb that sparked huge waves worldwide, and the Federal Governnt finally took notice of the situation.

Congress was already displeased with the scandal of the death gamble, and now with terrorists attacking Wayne Manor openly, it was sowhat impermissible to remain uninvolved.

Thus, the Federal Bureau of Investigation mobilized urgently, starting to hunt for the Death Angel within Gotham; the National Guard was also activated, rigorously checking vehicles and vessels entering and leaving Gotham, ensuring the terrorists were apprehended in the shortest ti.

The inexplicably "dead" Batman was numb, the Pale Knight who had just woken up in the hospital was numb, but now the most perplexed was Audine Company.

The cat that was switched out is dead, the ferry used for the secret transfer is being hunted; what should be done now?

As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours. Just as Brad approached Shiller to inform him of the truth, Death Angel Paul assisted Dr. Tompkins in learning from those three technicians the real secret behind Audine Company's equipnt technology.

It was not any scientific technology, but a particular substance, utilizing a special thermal radiation from a high-temperature material to mass-produce cancer patients.

And now, this special high-temperature material had fallen into Shiller's hands.

It looked utterly innocuous, just a small rock in a tal canister. However, considering that most radioactive materials are not particularly remarkable, Shiller did not underestimate it and handed it over to his gray mist for analysis.

He expected to wait a while, but gray mist quickly ca back with analysis results — the thing was actually one of the key components of the dication that turned The Joker back into the Pale Knight.
