During the selection of instances, a little incident occurred. Stark ssaged saying he found a teammate. When Shiller checked out his team status, lo and behold, Captain Arica.

These two can't be called a mismatch, after all, Shiller's Iron Man and Captain Arica in this universe don't have any major conflicts, Howard has co back to life, so the Winter Soldier isn't really an issue anymore.

But Shiller really didn't expect Steve to pick Stark. Shouldn't he be more inclined to pair up with his good buddy Bucky?

Shiller sent a ssage to Steve, and then found out that Bucky has been in love recently and didn't have ti to log in these past two days, so Steve could only team up with Stark first.

However, teammates aren't bound anyway, they could still switch later on.

Shiller guessed Stark wouldn't stick to Steve forever either. Perhaps after a couple of days when Peter is less busy, Stark would choose to team up with Peter. Because compared to Steve, Peter would be more likely to listen to him.

What shocked Shiller more was that Natasha actually managed to land Arkham Batman. In every sense of the word.

Shiller didn't know how the two of them got together. He glanced at Natasha's hopage and then discovered she was forming a team. Out of curiosity, he asked her about it. The other avatar in the team status Natasha sent over was exactly Arkham Batman.

Shiller sent her a string of thumbs ups. Truly worthy of Black Widow, she took down the most ferocious Batman of the Multiverse right off the bat.

But Shiller was really worried that another avatar would beco Arkham Knight Jason on the team status screen in a couple of days. From his observation, Natasha seed quite fond of doing that.

However, the compatibility between Black Widow and Batman wasn't bad. Both are tough and taciturn, plus both are martial arts masters and their puzzle-solving and exploration abilities are not inferior. Shiller got a headache thinking about possibly facing them in large instances in the future.

Spider Man, naturally bubbly as ever, didn't miss out on the big event. This ti Peter didn't participate, but the other Spider n basically tead up with counterparts from other universes two by two.

What's special was Gwen Spiderman. She actually found Gwen Stacy, and the two Gwen counterparts tead up together.

As for Deadpool of Shiller's universe, he tead up with so Deathstroke from who knows which universe, the two cousins forming a team. Most of the other Deadpools, surprisingly, chose Wolverine by so unspoken consensus. There must be a special reason.

Venom and Eddie are considered separate individuals, so Eddie went solo. But the good news is that since their universe's Venom has hung around both Batman and Iron Man, its puzzle-solving capability is significantly stronger than that of the other counterparts. Eddie also bought the Battle Order, seeming confident he could complete it.

On the Mutants' side, there was naturally the classic combination of Magneto and Professor X. However, due to the healing from the Golden Apple, Erik and Charles of Shiller's universe regained their younger skins, and many would probably be shocked to see the youthful but not estranged pair.

Scarlet Witch Wanda naturally tead up with Jarvis, but they've been busy raising kids lately and probably won't play the ga much. This is good news for all players who want to challenge the arena, because Scarlet Witch is indeed too powerful.

Shiller's Butler Ultron hasn't found his teammate so far. Mostly because he says his counterparts from other universes don't seem very bright, and those superheroes thought he was an Evil Robot, refusing to team up with him. So he hasn't found a teammate yet.

Seeing Ultron fretting about, Shiller thought about it and recomnded soone to him, that is the Sentinel of this universe.

The Sentinel is lying in the containnt gear right now because the energy inside him is too unstable, and one mishap could blow up a Star System, so nobody dares to let him out.

But it's no problem in Battleworld; with so many powerhouses watching over him, they would ensure he can't blow anything up. At worst, he'd just damage so virtual data, not a big issue.

So he's been addicted to Battleworld lately, having played through all the original instances he could. Though Shiller didn't know how compatible he would be with Ultron, they really didn't have other choices since Sentinels in other universes were also seen as Evil Robots and had few willing to play with them.

mbers of the Guardians of the Galaxy mostly tead up in pairs. But Rocket Raccoon went and found Pikachu, forming a new Super Little Animals squad. Shiller was actually quite doubtful of their puzzle-solving ability. These two stacked up still couldn't reach the table, could they truly handle plot-driven scripts?

Moreover, when it cos to the background story, humanoid beings could still be explained as lost travelers, unexpected visitors from afar, or such, but how does one explain a raccoon and yellow mouse? Lab escapees from so animal experint facility?

These two little creatures' style didn't even seem suited for following a script by the book; they might as well focus on causing havoc.

Over at DC, Shiller also did a bit of digging. Bruce teaming up with Clark didn't co as a surprise, the two are truly versatile. Pala teaming up with Harley, now Shiller can't help but suspect soone has impure motives.

Dick with Raven, Jason with Tim, things were as expected. The Magic Twins were also a sibling team, and Wonder Woman Diana took with her the student she favored most from rcury Academy, Cassandra. Barry hasn't found a good teammate yet, seeming not too interested in the ga.

Likewise showing little interest were Lex and Cobblepot, busy earning money in reality, or they might be waiting for the situation to beco clearer before joining.

In Shiller's camp, Shiller didn't see Arrogant in any team status; he really couldn't imagine who else Arrogant could team up with. But he figured the odds were he'd end up with another Shiller.

Bishop was already in a team. He sent a ssage and found out that Bishop and Mage were teaming up. Agent had also joined the ranks.

Schiller glanced at the Morbid side again and noticed that the Hunting was in the midst of organizing. He had a bad feeling, so he sent a ssage to the agent. It took several minutes before he got a reply—the agent had actually tead up with the Hunting, and Schiller began to worry about their opponents.

No one else made a move; it was unclear whether they were looking for teammates or simply had no intention of participating.

Schiller was scratching his head, eager to know who Arrogant planned to team up with. Had he known earlier during the decision of candidates, he would have asked Arrogant.

But it was okay, with Strange's Underworld-like schedule, Schiller had the entire day free. If worse ca to worst, he could just team up with Arrogant.

"Have you decided?" Strange's voice ca through. Clearly noticing that Schiller was distracted, he spoke to remind him.

"You decide," Schiller chose to defer the decision. Mainly because he really had no preference and felt that all thes were more or less the sa.

"Do you play horror gas?" Strange asked.

"Horror gas? How scary can they be?" Schiller said with so disdain, "Are you hoping the Ghosts in supernatural gas can frighten , or the Serial Killer in a blood plasma film can scare ?"

"Then let's go with a horror the," Strange said, crossing one leg over the other as he sat on the sofa, browsing through the copy options.

Suddenly, his hand paused as if he had seen sothing interesting. Schiller closed his own interface and walked over to the back of the sofa to have a look.

"Wait, dical? Why is there a the on dical?!" Schiller was surprised.

"Don't you know that a hospital is considered a classic horror setting for many people?" Strange asked.

"Horror, where's the horror... ah, finishing over 80 case reports in one night is pretty horrifying."

"Let's pick this one then," said Strange.

"Wait a second," Schiller quickly stopped him, saying, "Are you serious? Haven't you done enough surgeries? You want to work overti in a ga?"

"This is a horror the, so there might be chase battles or sothing," Strange said, "At the very least, there will be Ghosts trying to spook you. They can't possibly expect you to sit in front of a computer and fill out dical records, right?"

"That's true," Schiller nodded, already picturing the scenes from horror movies set in hospitals. It was all about investigating the truth while being chased by Onryo, followed by so jump scares.

Thinking about it, the two of them would have an advantage playing this kind of copy. Because they were Doctors, they aren't afraid of hospitals, unless they were being chased by a head nurse, no Ghost could scare them.

"Alright, this one," Schiller nodded and said, "However, we can't use Magic Ability in this copy; can you handle a chase battle?"

"That's why I chose to play the hospital the. I might get lost elsewhere, but playing a chase battle in a hospital feels like coming ho."

Schiller couldn't help but give him a thumbs-up; this thought process was crystal clear. Although the design of each hospital is slightly different, they are all fundantally the sa departnts. Whether it's a chase battle or investigating clues, they would have an information advantage.

Thus, the two directly chose the horror hospital the for their duo copy and entered the ga.

After a lengthy stretch of darkness, Schiller first heard the rustling of light sounds, like sothing scurrying around in the corner, followed by the wheezing sound of a blacksmith's bellows, short and feeble.

As the darkness in front of his eyes dissipated, Schiller was stunned by the scene before him.

The dim room had dry, rotting wooden floors and lead-plated walls. Two small stonework windows above let in faint light, and the brass sconces on either side flickered unsteadily. The air was thick with the scent of Mugwort mixed with the stench of decomposing bodies.

In the center of the room were three operating tables made of wood and leather. Three dim bulbs hung above; the racks next to the operating tables were filled with various tal tools: blades, hooks, hamrs, pliers, branding irons...

Across one side wall was an assortnt of bottles and jars containing various decayed liquids and unnad tissues, emitting a nauseating sll.

Clang! A gate on the tal conduit above the central operation table opened, and a grotesque, mummified Monster slid onto it.

At the sa ti, Schiller noticed that he was clutching a piece of Parchnt tightly in his hand. He unfolded the paper, and the first line read in sloppy English—"Plague Doctor Healing Rules."

This is bad, Schiller thought.
