For example, when exploring the temple, he wouldn't just think about exploring the temple. He would consider the dark elves' conspiracy, Roxon Corporation's next move, Asgard's response, the solutions superheroes could find, and so on.
If he only contemplated these matters while sitting in the office, he could quickly understand them clearly. Then, as usual, he would abruptly skip the next logical step and perform so operations that nobody else could comprehend.
Actually, these operations are not without trace but are rather the convergence points of various problem-solving thods. Because too many different matters are involved, observers cannot fully understand the big picture and thus feel utterly perplexed, unable to comprehend what he is doing.
However, if one has to solve one problem with linear thinking while simultaneously contemplating different issues and finding convergence points for solutions, and then calculating the optimal solution, the computational workload would increase exponentially.
Since he himself was involved in resolving a particular issue, it would cause the situation of that issue to constantly change. And once this issue changes, all other nodes would have to change accordingly.
Originally, if Shiller hadn't co, Stark and Peter surely wouldn't choose to eliminate all the dark elves inside the temple on Jupiter's moon. It's not that they are kind-hearted, but rather they wouldn't waste ti here and would retreat after obtaining the evidence.
Their losses would be concentrated near the teleportation portal, aning that Roxon Corporation's losses would be more severe, while the dark elves would be largely unaffected.
Shiller, who was supposed to be sitting in his office, would infer this through Stark and Peter's battle results. He could deduce that Roxon would certainly leverage these losses to negotiate with the dark elves. As long as more trouble is created for Roxon, they will aggressively demand from the dark elves. Shiller could take this opportunity to create a break in cooperation between the two parties.
But now, he beca involved himself, leading to the annihilation of the dark elves inside the temple. Although the dark elves didn't get exterminated in the last incident, they undoubtedly suffered a heavy blow as they couldn't afford to lose personnel.
Shiller's involvent caused the dark elves to suffer unacceptable losses. This would obviously lead to changes in their subsequent decision-making, possibly causing them to imdiately trouble Roxon, altering a series of plans targeted at Jupiter.
The optimal solution Shiller had in mind without his involvent could no longer be applied, and a different solution should be considered.
However, changing the solution to this issue would affect other interrelated nodes as well.
Take the matter of the Frost Giant King's skull. This should actually be Asgard's responsibility, and they can't brush it off with excuses like biodiversity.
Decades ago, they carelessly discarded so trash, leading Roxon to cooperate with the dark elves, resulting in losses for Earth. They definitely need to find a way to compensate for this.
While Roxon is a human matter, Asgard can warn the dark elves. The dark elves would absolutely not dare confront Asgard directly; they would likely withdraw their personnel from Jupiter, huddling in retreat, waiting for another chance.
After all, they have already stolen substantial resources, so withdrawing people now wouldn't result in much loss. As for Roxon, once they sell out, they sell out. Earth isn't an impregnable fortress, so finding another proxy shouldn't be difficult.
But with Shiller's direct involvent causing them significant personnel losses, they have now accrued sunk costs. They may not want to retreat without compensation, even if they guarantee not to cause further incidents, they wouldn't abandon cooperation with Roxon quietly, determined to recover their losses on Earth. This then requires more counterasures.
The current situation is such that Shiller's right brain wants to be a superhero, preparing to address problems as they arise in a straightforward manner with linear logic. anwhile, Shiller's left brain as the behind-the-scenes manipulator constantly encounters parallel issues, persistently seeking convergence points and optimal solutions, as beca customary.
It just so happens that the changes made by the right brain are leading to continuous changes in the problems, as well as the solutions. The left brain could never finish its calculations, the CPU practically smoking.
The various issues calculated by the left brain interfere with the linear thinking of the right brain. It always wants Shiller to abandon one task halfway and move on to sothing else, wanting him to skip a logical step like usual and execute the subsequent optimal solution directly.
This hinders Shiller's ability to advance step by step smoothly. The temple exploration beca a complete ss, utterly failing to compare to Stark and Peter's efficiency. If Loki hadn't been called halfway, they wouldn't have stopped teasing until next year.
The clash between the left and right brains prevented Shiller from smoothly being a superhero, and because he couldn't be a superhero smoothly, he had no ti to go back to being the behind-the-scenes manipulator.
On the return way to Jupiter's moon, Shiller kept contemplating this problem. He thought about it and decided to do a hot update on the returning ship, first to block off the sort of behind-the-scenes manipulator thinking from his left brain, and wait until he was done being a superhero.
Back at the base on another of Jupiter's moons, the three of them went to organize the evidence together. Actually, only Stark and Peter were organizing while Shiller was daydreaming, writing the code for the hot update.
"This image clearly shows the activation thod of the teleportation portal." Peter said, pointing to the screen, "It's different from any known teleportation portal opening thod on Earth; clearly, it isn't Earth technology."
"I think this one is more important." Stark flipped through a few sheets, then said, "Their spacecraft is unloading cargo. The pipeline continually transports resources to the teleportation portal. And the log of this spacecraft truthfully records the process of excavation on Jupiter, which is hard evidence."
Peter nodded and said, "Indeed. But there's another difficulty, which is proving the teleportation portal leads outside the Solar System. Otherwise, they could argue that they're transporting resources to Earth."
"Transporting to Earth is impossible," Stark said, "All teleportation portals within Earth are certified and managed by Kamar-Taj. Any abnormal space energy fluctuations are also detected imdiately. They don't have the ability to privately open a teleportation portal."
"Or what if they claim to transport to another place in the Solar System? They must have made preparations in this regard. Maybe they opened the sa kind of teleportation portal on other planets."
"But what about the resources? The resources transported to other parts of the Solar System? Shouldn't they be unable to produce them?"
"We can't gamble," Peter thought for a mont and then said, "If they're more prepared than us, this matter could be used to muddle through."
"But we can't directly pass through the teleportation portal. Not to ntion whether the cargo teleportation portal can accommodate people. If the other side is the dark elves' headquarters, not only could we beco deeply trapped ourselves, but it could also alert the enemy."
The two fell into silence, then unanimously turned their gaze to Shiller.
Shiller returned to his senses. JARVIS said in his ear, "Doctor, they're discussing whether to go through the teleportation portal on Jupiter's moon."
"Why go through the teleportation portal?"
"That way, they can confirm the portal indeed leads outside the Solar System, proving Roxon Corporation's cri of stealing Jupiter's resources on behalf of foreign tribes."
"Even if the other side is indeed the territory of the dark elves, who can prove that they passed through this teleportation portal?"
"Maybe we could find Jupiter's resources over there."
"The resources on Jupiter are fairly common elents in the cosmos, with nothing marked as belonging to the Solar System. Even if the dark elves are found, they could claim it as their own."
"Then would we have to catch them on the spot?"
"Catching them on the spot is impossible. The teleportation portal is too peculiar. Even if soone goes in and out simultaneously, there's no way to prove the goods on the coming out side were transported from the going in side. At least human technology cannot distinguish them. They can entirely argue this."
"So what do we do?"
"We'll discuss this later," Shiller said, "We should at least wait until we're back on Earth to discuss it."
JARVIS might have thought Shiller had so follow-up plan, so he didn't pursue further. Peter and Stark also thought Shiller had a plan, so they didn't waste more ti on this issue.
The return ship arrived shortly. After boarding, Shiller found a spot by a corner to sit and started patching the update he had initiated for himself.
With a crowd on the ship, Stark and Peter didn't discuss evidence further but played cards instead. Ti passed quickly.
As the ti to disembark approached, Shiller opened his eyes, feeling a sense of relief. Now he could choose to block the behind-the-scenes manipulator thinking if he wished. If he blocked it, he could proceed with linear logic like a normal person and be a superhero.
He then recalled what JARVIS said about whether he should go through the teleportation portal on Jupiter's moon and directly confront the dark elves.
This, of course, was out of the question, not because there might be no evidence, but because it was too dangerous. If Stark and Peter were captured, they would be entirely passive.
"Don't go back to Jupiter," Shiller suddenly spoke.
Instantly, Stark and Peter looked at him with a shocking gaze. Peter said with a complex expression, "Doctor...I an, Moon Knight. The dark elves' theft of Jupiter's resources is a minor issue; there's no need for you to bomb Jupiter on its behalf, right?"
Shiller rolled his eyes, not bothering to explain. After no longer searching for the optimal solution, he had a rather simple and effective way to attack Roxon Corporation.
The ship landed at the space station, and the group disembarked. Shiller said to Stark, "Help apply for a flight path landing in Oregon."
"Oregon? What are you going there for?"
"Business," Shiller replied succinctly.
"Oregon has Roxon Corporation's most important information resource storage center. It contains the global user information they have collected over the years," JARVIS reminded.
"What's he doing there? Could there be significant information? Did we miss anything in our previous investigation?"
"I'm not sure, sir. This might be related to Doctor Shiller's subsequent plans. I can't currently infer the full picture."
"Okay," Stark nodded, "I can't control where you investigate. But if you have new information, you need to share it with other team mbers."
Shiller nodded. Stark watched him fly out of the space station, thoughts swirling in his mind, hypothesizing his real intent—
Until the next morning, Stark saw the early morning news at The Avengers' base showing that the Roxon Energy Co., Ltd's information storage center in Oregon had been blown up.
He spat out a mouthful of coffee.
Steve walked in briskly, slamd the door shut, and said, "Is this how you Midnight Sons handle the Roxon Corporation?!"
Before Stark could say anything, Natasha also walked in briskly, slamd the door shut, and said, "Is this the Roxon Corporation investigation plan you ca up with?!"
Squeezed further in by the aura of both, Stark was just about to explain when Coulson walked in. Stark quickly raised his hand, "Stop! It wasn't !"
"I haven't even asked yet." Coulson, hands in pockets, walked up to Stark, flashed his badge, and said, "S.H.I.E.L.D. Level 8 agent Coulson. Our Director wants to see you. Co with ."
