The Supern had transford their base on Battleworld into another Fortress of Solitude. Most of them were completely familiar with the place, their red-cloaked figures flying back and forth across the hall like birds darting around at dawn seeking twigs.
Among them, one figure stood out. He wasn't wearing the Superman uniform but instead had on a shirt and slacks, paired with oversized black-rimd glasses. He was carrying a stack of files and walking through the corridors, typing ssages on his phone as he went.
Walking while using a phone always leads to collisions. Clark realized there was a shadow in front of him too late and ended up bumping chest-to-chest with another Superman. When he looked up, he saw the other's smiling face.
"Hey, Clark, even though this place has been open for months, you still manage to get lost?" the other said with a hint of resignation. "I can't believe you still don't have your own base. What have you been busy with all this ti?"
Clark shrugged and replied, "I've been discussing couple's night plans with Bruce. Valentine's Day is coming soon."
A younger Superman flew over and quipped, "You and Batman are spending Valentine's Day together?"
"In a sense, yes. But Selina and Lois will be there too. I'm trying to convince Bruce not to bring his little girl along. We need a proper couple's night..." Clark explained.
"Hard to imagine," the younger Superman shook his head. "Whether it's Batman or Bruce, I just can't picture him getting all romantic with his girlfriend while I'm around."
"He's never done that?" The Superman Clark bumped into was surprised. "I've even seen them kiss before! Batman's mask is designed for that sort of thing."
"Oh God. Why didn't I think of that?" Clark laughed, flashing his white teeth, before quickly resuming his phone typing. "I need to ask him if that was his intent when designing it."
"Oh, don't do that!" The Superman in front of Clark quickly waved his hands. "And if you do ask, don't ntion it ca from . Otherwise, it'll filter back to the Batman in my universe!"
"You're scared of him finding out?" Clark raised an eyebrow.
"He'll start to wonder in what kind of situation I watched him kiss his girlfriend. And then I'll never get to see it happen again!"
"So how *did* you see it?" The young Superman, now hanging upside down from the hallway eaves, with his long red cloak dangling, crossed his arms and asked.
"If I said it was pure coincidence... you wouldn't believe . One day, I went to watch a movie."
"You went to Gotham to watch a movie?"
"Of course not. It was in tropolis, at the mall near my ho. The movie that day was great—*The Prince of Egypt.* Have you seen it? Hands down, the best animated film I've ever watched..." Clark enthusiastically said.
"Stay focused!" Clark adjusted his glasses.
"Then I heard soone calling my na."
"Oh, God. They were kissing, why the heck were they calling *your* na?!"
"No! I an soone else was crying for help," the Superman spread out his hands. "So I flew over and found it was in Gotham. Soone was drowning, and I went to save them. Right afterward, I realized it was a park nearby. After rescuing the person, I heard so commotion outside. I flew out and saw..."
The Superman mimicked a kissing gesture with his fingers. The other two gave disappointed groans in response.
"Was Batman still in his suit?"
The Superman nodded, "Had it not been for both of them wearing pitch-black attire, I wouldn't have spotted them so easily."
"You're right." Clark suddenly chid in. "Watching movies is a great idea! We could pick a the and watch an entire series of movies in one night—with popcorn and soda, it'd be amazing!"
"Oh, no," the Superman quickly interjected, "If you're planning to invite Bruce, don't do that. He's never properly sat through a complete movie in any cinema, ever. I don't think he even likes watching movies!"
"Seriously?" Clark doubted, asking.
"Absolutely." The younger Superman nodded firmly. "And don't even ntion popcorn or soda. He wouldn't touch that stuff!"
Clark pulled out his phone and started typing furiously, while the two Supern leaned in on either side.
"Three seconds. He'll reject it within three seconds."
"I bet it'll be one. His reply rejecting it will co faster than anything else."
"Whoa, what is this profile picture?!" The Superman on Clark's left exclaid, staring at Bruce's chat avatar on the screen. "Is that *actually* him? What's on his head?"
"Don't sweat the details." Clark opened the chat interface, pressed down the voice ssage button, and said, "Hey, Bruce, you there?"
The two Supern exchanged glances. Once Clark sent the voice ssage, the left Superman nudged him, saying, "You sent voice? Hasn't he explicitly told you *not* to do that?"
Clark shot him a confused look, but his expression quickly changed when he turned back to the computer screen—a reply from Bruce had already arrived. It was also a voice ssage.
"I'm here. What's up, Clark?"
"Why's it so noisy over there?"
"I'm at a bar! A bar!"
"Alright, you know Valentine's Day is coming, right?"
"Of course... Don't tell —you're asking out?"
"I'm thinking about hosting a couple's night. What do you think?"
"Sounds good. What does it entail?"
"I'm not sure yet, but they suggested watching movies. I think we could gather a bunch of films and binge-watch them together."
