On a Gotham City morning, neither clear nor warm, the slightly cold morning wind and the damp fog crawled onto the balcony through gaps in the window. They coalesced into a string of little dewdrops that shimred under the light.
Shiller sat at his desk in his office, reading the students' papers. After a while, a docunt was tossed over from the desk next door. Shiller shifted his gaze from the assignnt in his hand to read the docunt.
"Campus alcohol ban? Which genius sought trouble with this?" Shiller asked.
His colleague Anna stood at the water dispenser, waiting for the water to refill, her hands on her hips. "Clearly, our new genius principal, more like one who does not understand the size of the sky and the earth," she said.
Before Shiller could ask her another question, Mrs. Maffy, the principal's assistant, shambled in with her sowhat plump body and knocked on the door. "Professor Shiller, the principal wants to see you," she said.
As Shiller rose to his feet, Mrs. Maffy walked over to him. She lightly patted his arm and said in a low tone, "He's quite a handful; you better be careful."
Shiller arrived at the principal's office. The new principal had only arrived a few days ago; his na was Sheldon, Sheldon Smith, a Caucasian who supported the Democratic Party. He was said to have been a leader in the Dean's office at Princeton University. No one knew why he had the idea to beco the principal of Gotham University.
As soon as Shiller walked in, Sheldon tapped on his desk, motioning for him to sit down. He was a very typical Caucasian leader, full of energy like a lion. He said, "I believe you have already read the docunt I issued. Yes, the campus ban on alcohol is necessary."
"I can't understand how this school allows beer-factory trucks to drive right up to the school gate. This is preposterous. If this is a ss that the previous principal left behind, then I will certainly clean it up, right now!"
"At tis like these, we must adhere to a firm stance. According to your resu, Professor Shiller, I'm sure dealing with a bunch of kids wouldn't be harder than dealing with serial murderers, right?"
Shiller understood what he ant: Although I'd like to make an impression at the new job, you have to be my tool.
Shiller chuckled and said, "Of course, of course..."
Then his tone cooled slightly and said, "In fact, dealing with anyone in this world is not harder than dealing with those madn involved in those serial murder cases."
The principal detected the warning in his tone; he was not a fool, at least smarter than the previous principal. He said, "I have heard about the previous turbulence in the school, but that has nothing to do with . Here, we need a new order, and a new manager is needed as well."
Shiller showed a faint smile and said, "Your ambition is far-reaching, seeking to establish a new order in Gotham. I must applaud this goal."
"Not Gotham, Gotham University. This will be my territory. I don't want to talk any nonsense about being responsible for students. I only want to say, the forr principal was a weakling and an idiot, that's why he's gone. But I am not like him!"
As he spoke, he made various aggressive hand gestures and occasionally rapped on the desk with his fingertips according to the beats, showing a typical deanor of an Arican politician.
Shiller glanced at his watch and said, "My class is about to start. However, since it's a task assigned by the new principal, I will certainly accomplish it."
After saying that, he left. The new principal watched his retreating figure, his face dark. His intuition told him that this man would not be easy to handle.
The next day, a notice of dismissal was delivered to Bruce Wayne's desk.
It read:
"...Due to your repeated drunkenness on campus and organizing alcoholic parties. After investigation, at least 50 students have drunk the alcoholic beverages you bought. It is with regret that I have to notify you, Mr. Wayne, that we shall revoke your student status. You must leave the student apartnt within three days. - Professor Schiller Rodriguez."
The next day, Sheldon sat in his office rubbing his forehead. It was clear; he was sowhat panicked. He stuttered to Shiller, "I didn't an...not...strong-willed, yes, certainly strong-willed, but, I an, not this kind of strong-willed, it's too..."
The new principal muttered to himself in his heart, what kind of madman is he? How could he dare to issue a dismissal notice to the successor of the Wayne family? That is the biggest financial contributor to Gotham University, sponsoring billions of dollars to Gotham University every year!
If Wayne is gone, what's the point of him being the principal at all?
Moreover, it's said that Bruce tends to ss around, not very respectable, and doesn't appear to be easy to get along with. Was he really not afraid of offending the world's richest man at all?!
Shiller still maintained his emotionless smile. He said, "I believe it is necessary to be excessively correct to correct an error. If we dare to expel Bruce Wayne, then surely no one will dare to violate your alcohol ban, right?"
