In the last round where the spaceship landed, Greed was in the room, throwing a pile of items on the ground, sighed and said, "Trash, trash, all trash! Is it possible that finding one key item used up all the luck?"
"I have long said, the two of us can’t be so lucky to flip out all the exclusive items." Gray Mist said, "Flipping out one is already good enough, they might not flip out two either."
"No, I don’t believe it!" Greed adjusted the item bar, then said, "Let’s go, to the next room."
In the next room, there was another gatekeeper. They killed the monster and went in to search, ending up flipping out a bunch of junk, either bandages or various armor with no special effects.
Greed’s skill in fighting monsters was fast because the monsters rarely interrupted him, he could basically kill them all with a set of skills. His search speed was also quick, organizing while searching, his backpack almost never got full. He searched the three rooms nearby at a fast pace and found no good stuff.
"Alright, I admit, you’re right." Greed sighed deeply and said, "Looks like we’re not going to uncover anything useful here."
"We better leave quickly," Gray Mist said, "Maybe we can search sowhere else."
"No," Greed said again, "If I can’t get the stuff, neither should they. Since we can’t find things here, they shouldn’t get any key items either."
"What do you intend to do?"
"Let’s find the control room of the spaceship."
This spaceship is what many people stereotype as a flying saucer, so the control room is more likely to be in the middle of the circular structure. Greed proceeded towards there and quickly found the control room.
"Let see..."
Greed rummaged through the control room, eventually finding an experint report. The text was blurred, but there was an introduction below: "In room 12 at the very bottom level of the spaceship, there seems to be an extraordinary experintal specin detained."
"A monster, right?" Greed said, "I’ve hardly made it to the top, and you want to go all the way to the bottom?"
"What else can be done?" Gray Mist said, "If you don’t want others to get the items, you can only release the monster. That’s the best way."
"This monster doesn’t necessarily have to be released, does it?" Greed thought and said, "Though given this item, there must be another choice."
"Of course you can not release it, just don’t go find it, right?"
"No no no, I an, can we send this monster back ho?"
"What?"
Greed didn’t continue explaining. He ca to the console, just wanted to check it, but a sudden electric current happened really shot down his health.
"Why are there traps?" Greed looked at that part and was surprised to find that the console had a part that could be attacked.
Greed looked around and found that inside there were water ripple-like shadows, looking like the previously seen translucent spiders stuck inside, but it didn’t seem like they were stuck due to a programming glitch, more like they permanently resided there, and part of the console was their ho.
"I have a bold idea," Greed said, "Do you think I have a way to short-circuit start the spaceship?"
Gray Mist sent him a question mark. He had only heard of short-circuit starting cars, short-circuit starting bypasses the need for a key, essentially a carjacking technique. Can it be done with a spaceship too?
"Ti to test the programr’s skills." Greed slamd the console with his hand, triggered a battle, then started chanting towards the spiders. The spiders weren’t smart, not knowing how to interrupt the spell, could only futilely flaunt about.
Greed killed the spider that ca out first, then started chanting towards their nest. There were quite a few spiders inside, but probably because they were set in an abnormal state, they didn’t attack, they simply did not co out.
Once the abnormal state was hung, Greed made a punch on the console. The regular attack triggered the spiders’ nesting mode, they started attacking outward, but due to being hung with fumbling status, they failed to hit Greed.
Greed retreated further away, and the spiders did not choose to catch up, instead used long-range attack, released a kind of translucent current, trying to attack Greed.
However, these currents first hit other parts of the console before reaching Greed. Then a flash of electric light ensued, and the spaceship’s control panel lit up again.
"Looks like this is part of an arranged puzzle." Greed said.
"But I think this isn’t ant to activate the panel," Gray Mist said looking at the screen image, "Take a look at that energy storage tank above you."
Greed looked up and found that above the spiders was sothing looking like a battery. It emitted the sa glow as the spiders, it seems indeed the puzzle is to defeat spiders and recharge so energy, but Greed’s target was wrong.
"Since it can be activated, it ans this solution exists." Greed studied the control panel, found the text was still blurred, only two options were lit: one for ’Lights On’, the other for ’Doors Open’.
"Haha, it’s over," Gray Mist said, "They basically don’t give you a chance to operate."
"Impossible." Greed still didn’t believe it, he rolled up his sleeves and said, "Don’t I understand them? These programrs like laziness the most, impossible they designed a spaceship from scratch. Plus the environnt inside this spaceship clearly couldn’t be designed by human civilization circle, they must have downloaded so blueprint from the interstellar internet randomly to create this."
