The Queen also recounted to Ron and Barry about Diana’s past experiences. So details were left out, but the key point was that Diana had always deeply loved Steve, and his departure was too sudden. For a long ti, Diana couldn’t accept it, and even now, no one knows if she has truly let go.
For the Immortal Species, they can choose not to accept loss. It’s perfectly normal for them to imrse themselves in sorrow for hundreds of years. Even though Steve has been gone for a long ti, for Diana, it seems just like yesterday. Therefore, if Steve were to be resurrected, Diana’s emotional turmoil would be understandable.
Having learned about Diana’s romantic history from the Amazon Queen, Ron realized that this was the worst-case scenario.
Relatives and lovers are sowhat different. Everyone has imagined their elderly relatives leaving them, because no matter how we try to deny it, birth, aging, illness, and death are natural parts of life. The departure of a relative is sothing we can prepare for.
But lovers are different. Everyone dreams of growing old together with their beloved, even accompanying each other beyond life. This makes the sudden parting in the midst of passion particularly tragic.
Although Ron also lost his wife and daughter, at that ti they were past the honeymoon stage and had ford a stable family, viewing each other as inseparable relatives. It was similar for Dr. Stone and Eleanor; their lives had settled into a cozy routine.
But Diana and Steve were different. They parted during a period of passion, and at that ti, the world was in turmoil, with frequent wars. They were often apart, and their love was intertwined with too many national matters, making it all the more stirring and unforgettable.
Facing such a lover’s resurrection and reunion, it’s hard to imagine anyone being able to withstand such an emotional impact.
Ron couldn’t bear to think much about it. He asked the Queen, "Do you know where Diana might have gone?"
"Of course, to the Justice League," the Queen replied. "I was about to call you all, if it weren’t for Mr. President..."
Ron understood the Queen’s concerns. She is not only Diana’s mother but also the Amazon Queen. Amazon is a small nation and can’t possibly contend with a giant like Arica. And Arica is at a critical juncture, questioning the President’s trusted aide, the Justice League, is certainly not a good choice at this ti.
"She hasn’t returned to us," Ron stated clearly. He knew Batman would never allow her to do such a thing, so not only would she not go back, but she would hide far away. But where could she possibly be hiding?
The Queen thought for a mont, then said, "No, the key is not where she wants to go, but where she can accomplish her plan."
"What do you an?"
"She wants to revive Steve. What I an is, maybe not the kind of resurrection you all ntion, not what she wants. She doesn’t think the Steve crawling out from the grave is the real Steve. She just wants to use this shell to revive the real Steve."
Though sowhat convoluted, Ron understood and said, "That’s why Diana wants to steal the Mother Box. Because the Mother Box is the only thing that appears to genuinely resurrect soone."
"Exactly. So, she has to find a place where the Mother Box can revive soone, and then she can complete her plan," the Queen thought for a while and said, "That thing has been in our possession for so long, but no one has figured anything out. If she knows how to resurrect, it must have been from your side she learned it."
Ron was of course aware of this, as Victor was the existing example. However, he wasn’t clear on the specific principles of resurrection, so he planned to contact Victor to inquire.
But before he could call Victor, Victor had already flown over. Obviously exhausted, he descended and panted as he spoke to Ron, "Diana wants to use the Mother Box to resurrect soone. Hurry, stop her..."
"How do you know?" Ron asked.
"I can see it," Victor replied. "The Mother Box is conscious. I saw Diana holding the Mother Box and walking toward a man..."
"What about the background? Did you see where the background was?" Ron hurriedly followed up.
Victor recalled for a mont, then said, "There seed to be firelight."
Barry quickly stepped forward and asked, "What are the conditions for the Mother Box to resurrect soone? What needs to be done?"
"Heat energy, very powerful heat energy is needed," Victor said, "Though it’s not the only condition, it’s the most important one; without it, it can’t be activated at all."
The Amazon Queen had a mont of realization and then said, "The Fire God Temple!"
Everyone looked at her, and the Amazon Queen explained, "There’s the hottest forge on Mount Olympus in the Fire God Temple. Every strike of the Fire God can trigger a volcanic eruption capable of destroying the entire Earth. That energy should be enough, right?"
"Let’s go to the Fire God Temple," Ron imdiately said.
The Amazon Queen didn’t dare delay and quickly opened the door for them. The group headed to Mount Olympus, but they were still so distance from the Fire God Temple as they arrived. Upon entering, Victor breathed heavily.
"The Mother Box has been activated," he said, "The power has been fully awakened. But Diana doesn’t know how to control it and might be devoured. Quickly, we must go!"
The Amazon Queen, not daring to waste ti, quickly summoned Pegasus. The group rushed to the Fire God Temple, only to find the entire temple radiating a golden glow.
Ron was about to charge in first, but Victor quickly stopped him, then said, "No, none of you should go in. Once the power goes out of control, you won’t stand a chance. I’ll go in myself. If the power dissipates and I’m not out, go find Batman."
