Correspondingly, the price of these hovercar toys is not cheap. A hovercar toy about the size of an adult’s hand costs over 300 bucks, and if it’s as long as an adult’s forearm, it’s over 500. And these are just normal models with standard paint; special models and commorative paint editions can easily be a few thousand.
Little Jack is really into them. Arrogant looked up at the top box on the Stark hovercar toy rack greedily, then turned to the store clerk and said, "Could you please help take this down?"
"Are you sure you want this one?" asked the clerk, "This is a commorative model of a hover vintage car, and it has a full tal special paint job, the price might be a bit..."
"A commorative vintage car?" Arrogant asked, "Is it the one from the Industrial Expo back in the day?"
"Oh, this one isn’t it, this one has been recolored. If you want the original color one, you might have to wait a bit." The clerk looked a bit troubled, then said, "Currently New York has limited stock, only custors with a spending record over 300,000 can request current stock..."
Arrogant was a bit speechless. Stark still plays the allocation ga even when selling toys. But he thought about it, kids nowadays all love hovercars, so buying a few more and gifting them shouldn’t be a problem.
So Arrogant turned to Greedy and said, "Let’s pick out a few more to et the allocation requirent."
Greedy nodded. He casually took a relatively small model from the shelf to look at. From the outside, it seed no different from a regular car model, if anything, the paint job was a bit more exquisite. So he asked the store clerk: "Are there any for display?"
"Yes, right this way," the clerk led him to the display area nearby. Arrogant looked up and saw many large and small rings hanging in the air, and several kids were playing there. They were controlling several cars, skillfully maneuvering through the rings in mid-air.
It was then that Arrogant realized this hovercar isn’t like remote-control plane toys with flight angle restrictions, and it has so inertia making it hard to control. The car is absurdly nimble, not only can it hover at any ti, but when it flies it can quickly spin around, even collide with each other, making it a very fun chase.
Arrogant watched there for a while, then said, "We really should buy a few more; I want to take them back for Dick and the others."
"How old are they?" Greedy laughed, "But you’re right. There’s not much fun over there, so they’ll probably have a blast."
Arrogant began thinking, what kind of models would teenagers prefer? But they are basically flashy sports cars. Perhaps because of collaboration with FIFA, there are also so F1 models. Greedy pointed at those models and said, "You should buy this; these kinds will be more popular among teenagers."
The clerk also approached and said, "Yes, if the child’s age is relatively young, we recomnd sedan and sports car models more because these models co in bright colors and are easy to switch out paint jobs. If the pilot is older and more skilled, then selecting race car models would be better because these are faster, have better collision resistance, and can compete in races."
Arrogant nodded, then suddenly rembered sothing: "Do you have tractors?"
Greedy looked at him sowhat shocked, but unexpectedly the clerk nodded, so Greedy was even more shocked looking at the clerk, no way, there are actually flying tractors?
The clerk led them to another shelf, and there they found not only flying tractors but also flying fire trucks, flying ambulances, flying big rigs, flying cranes, and more.
"Special vehicles are very popular too," the clerk explained, "truck sales are even better than many small sedans."
Greedy thought for a mont. Actually, in child psychology, special vehicles indeed tend to be more popular. Because in the eyes of children, they won’t see any use in regular cars, they don’t understand the purpose of transportation tools, as they assu cars naturally run. So a car that rely runs is quite ordinary.
But they can comprehend that fire trucks put out fires, ambulances save people, cranes build houses, and the like. They prefer cars that not only run but also do other things, believing these cars are higher-tier and cooler than those that only drive.
So they picked out so special vehicles. Greedy turned and asked the clerk, "Are there any even more special ones?"
"Yes," the clerk nodded and said, "please follow ."
They walked over and saw the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, humanity’s star ship, even Asgard’s main vessel, and various warships from the Three Great Empires.
Greedy was stunned. Howard really knows how to make money.
Then he felt a bit puzzled, wasn’t it the Three Great Empires lost, not dead? And now, quite a few people from the Three Great Empires are active on Earth. Aren’t they afraid of being found out?
Greedy asked hesitantly, "These... are they legitimate?"
"Rest assured, everything sold in my store is from the Stark Group..."
"I ant, do these warships have authorization?"
The clerk directly took down a set to show them, and Greed saw the Kree Empire’s Supre Wisdom laser color logo on the back of the packaging. The clerk said, "These are all officially licensed rchandise from the Three Great Empires, absolutely no piracy or imitations, you can rest assured."
Greed really didn’t know what to say. Didn’t know what the Supre Wisdom was thinking, nor how Howard negotiated it, it really took one to dare give and another to dare do.
But then he reconsidered. For the new generation, the existence of the Three Great Empires is no secret. In the future, they will be noble interstellar capital people, they might see various Three Great Empires’ battleships just by stepping out on weekends, so playing with these toys is not a big deal.
Besides, humans do have their own star ships. Not only do they have them, Howard has made several versions of various sizes and coatings, along with all kinds of escort ships, as long as you have the money, you can assemble your own human fleet. One can even direct their own interstellar war, whether it’s a civil war among the Three Great Empires, Asgard fighting the Three Great Empires, or even humans fighting Asgard, it’s all possible.
"This cos equipped with the latest laser weapons, of course, they’re not real weapons, just simulated lasers, but they look very much like the main guns of a star ship firing. When it hits other ships, it has special sound effects, making it really cool to play." The clerk enthusiastically introduced.
Arrogant had no doubt about this. Because the price of these space ship toys is also quite dazzling. Now it seems, the budget of 300,000 is set too low, this money can’t even direct a real interstellar war.
"Alright," Greed nodded, having to admit, Howard is truly a business genius. In this regard, his vision is far ahead of others.
They bought quite a few more ships. But since Arrogant wanted to take them back to the kids on his side, he didn’t choose those quirky Three Great Empires ships, mostly picked human ones, and a few Asgard ones, these fit human aesthetics better.
As for Greed’s purchases, he didn’t have as many concerns, he directly bought a whole set and whispered to Arrogant, "There might be several interstellar wars breaking out at this year’s Christmas party."
"You better pick a good spot," Arrogant said, "Hopefully the living room galaxy and kitchen galaxy won’t be destroyed too early."
Greed stored everything in gray mist, so he didn’t need to carry so much stuff out. Greed stood in the hall hesitating for a mont, finally decided to buy just this much today.
"Aren’t you buying any ingredients?" Arrogant asked.
"I’m not sure if I can get the house sorted before Christmas." Greed thought for a mont and said, "If I can, then I’ll buy food once everything is settled, otherwise I’ll have to move them. There’s still a month until Christmas."
"You’re too optimistic, you have no idea at all right now, thinking of buying and moving within a month?"
"New York is a fast-paced tropolis," Greed said, "Not to ntion a month, buying a house and moving can even be compressed into a week. After all, most landlords won’t give you too much ti to tidy things up."
Arrogant shook his head, not sure if it was a sigh or disagreent. But they soon drove back to the sanatorium. As they got out, Arrogant said, "I’m planning to give the sweater and Captain Arica’s toy to Billy, then keep those hover cars for Christmas."
"Certainly, because before moving, my office galaxy can’t be destroyed."
Billy shot out from the door like a cannonball and ca to a screeching halt in front of the two. Greed rubbed his head and said, "Don’t rush, the set isn’t ready yet, and I have so matters to discuss with the director, but I’ll definitely take you over before Christmas."
Billy felt a bit embarrassed, he said, "I’m not in a hurry..."
At this mont, Arrogant handed him the things and said, "Try on your clothes first."
Billy scread the mont he saw the items in his hand, then started jumping and spinning in circles on the spot. After jumping for a while, he looked down at the next item, and continued screaming.
He ran into the house quickly to change clothes, but after changing, he felt a bit embarrassed, pinching the corner of his clothes walking out, saying, "Does it look good? Is it too bright?"
"It looks great," Arrogant said, "If you wear this to ask Captain Arica for an autograph, he will be very happy."
"Really?" Billy jumped up again, "I love him so much! And his shield! I drew his shield in art class, can he sign that drawing for ?"
Arrogant turned to look at Greed. Greed nodded and said, "Of course, and maybe you can take a photo with him. By the way, did you open your flash card pack? Maybe you’ll get the hidden version."
Billy cheered again and went off to open the card pack. Arrogant sighed a bit and said, "Sotis I really admire Victor. Kids are always energetic, sotis hard to keep up with."
"Then you’ll admire more people in this world, you haven’t seen those mutant little rascals yet." Greed laughed.
Arrogant also chuckled and said, "Honestly, I’m starting to worry about the backyard galaxy."
