Chloe looked at Lucifer sowhat surprised. She had assud that this bar owner, like those who incessantly frequented nightclubs, would only crack inappropriate yellow jokes and stir up trouble. She did not expect that, when he beca serious, he could provide so useful information.

Chloe took a notebook out of her bag and then asked Lucifer, "Do you know why the victim ca to the bar?"

"Everyone cos to the bar for one purpose, to have fun and relax," Lucifer took a sip of his drink and then said, "Delilah was no exception, she might have wanted to co and share her worries with ."

"What was she worried about?" Chloe quickly caught on to this point.

"She didn't say," Lucifer shook his head and said, "She often hesitated to say sothing but end up saying nothing. You may want to ask this psychology professor, he had a deeper conversation with Delilah."

Chloe turned to look at Shiller. Although Shiller had a grasp of Delilah's psychological state, he spoke conservatively:

"She was in a state of anxiety, and has a fear of making choices. This ntal state had probably lasted for a long ti. The underlying causes might be the pressures brought on by intimate relationships..."

"Intimate relationship?" Chloe pondered, then she turned and pushed Dan and said, "You go back to the police station now and see if you can find Delilah's personal information. If there is, give a call..."

After Dan left, Lucifer beca increasingly proactive. He looked at Dan's retreating back and asked, "Detective, no offense intended, but it seems like you and your colleague aren't exactly on good terms..."

Chloe frowned, seemingly offended by the question. Shiller interrupted: "Let's use this ti to take another look at the cri scene. Lucifer and I are both mystery enthusiasts. Having first-hand experience in investigating a murder case is priceless for us, and it's an honor to work with an experienced detective like you..."

Hearing this, Chloe's face lightened up slightly. She stood up, holding onto her aching leg, and said, "Alright, I did miss investigating so of the surrounding area. If you want to take a look, rember not to disrupt the cri scene or tamper with the body."

"Don't worry, as a psychology professor, I have cooperated with the police before. I understand these matters." Shiller also stood up.

As the three of them were about to leave, Chloe casually asked, "Professor, which university are you currently affiliated with?"

"Gotham University."

Chloe paused with her hand on the door, saying, "Then it seems you should be more experienced than I am."

Shiller smiled, didn't say anything. After the three of them left, Chloe went to the intersection where the accident happened to check the situation.

The policewoman found that the situation was as Lucifer described it. The intersection had a clear field of vision, unlike the typical blind spots of a normal cross intersection. Judging from the truck's trajectory, the truck driver had no intention of braking or swerving, he went straight into it.

The condition of the murderer's body in the car also didn't surprise her. The fatal wound was a head injury. However, what intrigued Chloe was that there seed to be so strange movent traces on the body. It didn't look like it was moved by soone, but rather as if it moved slightly after death.

Of course, Chloe wouldn't consider that soone could resurrect a dead body. She thought it might be the shock caused by the subsequent explosion of the vehicle that displaced the body; such situations had happened before.

While Chloe was deducing the identity of the murderer, Shiller and Lucifer gathered around Delilah's body. Shiller whispered, "Why don't you resurrect her now and ask what happened?"

"Do you think I can resurrect whoever I want?"

"Isn't it?" Shiller asked.

"Of course not." Lucifer glanced at Chloe in the distance and said, "The reason I was able to resurrect Angela's sister last ti was that I modified the cause-and-effect relationship from the tiline. Without a cause, she naturally wouldn't die. So, that can't be called a resurrection."

"Now, if I want to resurrect Delilah out of thin air, I would have to go to hell and retrieve her soul."

"So why don't you go?"

"Rember the female bartender who mixed your drinks before? She has been urging to return to hell. I don't want to go back. That's why I don't want to have too much contact with hell..."

Shiller didn't continue the conversation. He was reserved about the act of resurrection. From a behavioral perspective, death is a significant cause of many human action patterns. Without the deterrent of death, who knows how human behavior would develop.

And to die and be reborn might have a huge impact on human psychology, not to ntion in this world, after humans die, they either go to heaven or hell, having seen the landscapes of these two worlds, one's mindset could drastically change.

Shiller was not clear about Delilah's relationship with Lucifer. They might not have any deep connection. At the end of the day, Lucifer's assistance to Delilah was more out of convenience and it did not involve any emotional investnt.

Shiller squatted down, looked at Delilah's body and checked where she had been shot, then inspected the ground around them. After examining these, he said: "The shooter is very professional, all bullets hit the intended target. There are no bullet traces on the ground around her."

Lucifer squinted and said, "Regardless, Delilah was my friend, and I don't allow anyone to take action on my turf. If I don't teach the people behind this a lesson, I won't be able to get by in the West Coast."

"You said earlier that if I provided you with an opportunity, you would help figure out what's causing my motion sickness. Now, the opportunity has arrived."

Shiller stood up, looked at Lucifer, Lucifer looked back at him. Shiller said, "Delilah's distress was likely coming from a certain intimate relationship. Maybe it's her husband or boyfriend, or possibly her family."

"You can propose to Detective Chloe to investigate her family situation together. In this way, you will have plenty of ti to charm her."

Lucifer looked surprisingly at Shiller but then his gaze fell on the ring on Shiller's hand. He took a sip from his glass and didn't say anything.
