"Let's leave that aside for now; the important part is that it was the only ti when Venom and Peter made a connection, and it ca through a so-called deity, perfectly aligning with the concept of Faith Power."
"But the problem is, you guys made up the Bat God, so who would actually believe in it?" Strange asked with confusion, "The human race treats this creature as an enemy, even if there are so rebels who want to destroy the world and believe in it, the beliefs of one or two humans are useless. They absolutely could not constitute such a strong Faith Power."
"I think we need to call Peter and Venom over and ask them what really happened." Shiller proposed, "Only the two of them could probably know what truly happened in the end."
By the ti they managed to gather both of them, although Peter was still barely communicative, Venom was just growling uncontrollably. Eddie couldn't control him at all and was repeatedly banging his head against a wall off to one side.
Fortunately, the wisdom-less Venom was relatively easy to deal with. A few Symbiotes, along with Steve, managed to subdue him. Peter strained to rember, then spoke:
"I rember a bald Mage in a yellow robe appeared. Venom was saying sothing about triple, quintuple... "
"Peter, focus and recollect. We need every single detail, word for word. You can rember. It's not difficult for you..." Shiller guided Peter in jogging his mory. Shortly, Peter recalled the scene at the ti.
When The Ancient One arrived, she did not display a friendly attitude. As soon as they t, she held ti in place. Afterwards, she exhibited so confusion before sitting down where she was to communicate with the presence behind her.
"She sat cross-legged and started talking to herself about totems... the power of the Beast Totem... so reborn totem. I didn't understand anything," Peter shook his head, looking sowhat confused, then continued, "After that, she started bargaining with Venom. She said sothing along the lines of 'Newborn Totem, I can lend you a hand, but I demand tenfold paynt'."
Strange and Shiller exchanged glances. Strange repeated, "Are you sure she said 'Newborn Totem'?"
Peter nodded, "Yes, she repeated it several tis. That's why I rember it very clearly. Those were her exact words."
A look of understanding crossed Strange's face. Once Peter had left, he began explaining to the group what the Beast Totem was.
"Simply put, this is a mysterious power that exists within the cosmos, but it doesn't exist within a single universe, but above it..." As Strange spoke, he glanced at Stark, who gave a slight nod, indicating that he had indeed seen it before.
"No one really knows how a totem is born, but a totem will choose different individuals, granting them power while gaining Faith Power from their activities..."
"Peter is soone chosen by the Spider Totem," Stark spoke first. Shiller added, "He was always destined to beco Spider Man. Even if he hadn't been bitten in the lab, he could've been bitten at ho or on the street, all because the Spider Totem chose him."
"But I haven't seen any newborn totems," Stark spoke, puzzled, "The Spider Totem is not a newborn totem, right? Didn't it choose Peter Parker long ago?"
"Perhaps a new totem really has been born," Shiller speculated, "The Bat God might be a human construct, but bats are not new to the world. They are part of the animal kingdom, so the birth of a new totem wouldn't be surprising."
What Shiller didn't say was that the bat represented by Batman is different from wild bats. Batman's bat carries attributes like "darkness" and "fear," and Venom, which had once been hosted by Batman, might carry so occult properties. It makes sense that a unique Bat Totem could be born from him.
"Now the only problem we need to solve is figuring out where the Faith Power cos from." Stark speculated, "Since the Beast Totem doesn't co from within the universe and can absorb faith from various universes, then the faith on Peter might not co from this universe. That would explain why the Earth's Magic Defense Network hasn't responded; it might co from a higher level that the defense network can't detect."
"Since we've made this guess, why not test it? Stephen, is the Faith Power in Peter still growing?" Shiller turned and asked Strange.
Strange nodded, giving a firm answer, "Yes, this power is still growing, and it's growing fast."
"I suspect that once a totem grows to a certain level, it can start absorbing Faith Power. We are in its initial stage, and the previously accumulated Faith Power pours into both of them all at once, making them a little excited now."
"Why would Faith Power make people excited?" Connors raised a question, though he didn't know much about the occult, he wanted to understand the underlying principles.
Strange explained, "Faith Power is akin to a kind of energy source; it can significantly enhance a person's soul strength. As soon as the soul becos stronger, it transcends the realm of ordinary people, relinquishes the body, and becos a Demon God. Many sorcerers who have ventured out from Earth were born this way."
"Initially, they may have just been admired humans. But human faith is of very high quality. Once this Faith Power is infused into their souls, their souls would ascend. Once accumulated to a certain extent, they can abandon their bodies and roam the universe at will, thus becoming a new form of life—Cosmic Sorcerer."
"Of course, there are also humans who beca Sorcerers without relying on faith. They need to find a power source to enhance their soul strength. From then on, it's all the sa."
"Alright, we can talk about this later. Let's begin by verifying whether this Faith Power cos from outside the universe." Shiller said as he turned around, reaching out for Stark, who looked at him and asked, "What for?"
"Give your magical energy. I need to charge it."
"You an..."
"If we go up and look once more, we'll get our answer, right?"
"Can't you just go up there?"
"I'm just an ordinary person."
