The twins' group ca out, flying downwards to the building that had been raised near the center of the phenonon. Emaniora and her friends also closely followed, they all entering the building together with the other groups.
There weren't many experts in there, as the majority was out looking for the Starlight Crystals and the possible way into the Valas City. Rean, as the one with the authorization to co to this place, took the lead and went to one of the few counters. "Hi, we were sent here to take our assignnts."
The cultivator behind the terminal looked at Rean, a little surprised with his cultivation level. "How did you even get here?"
Rean smiled but didn't answer. Instead, he gave his ID for the guy to check.
"A Golden Level Formations Master? It's not too bad with your level. Still weird with your cultivati- hum? Oh! Flintstone. Now I see..." The man's behavior changed, and he quickly did his job. "It's done. Your group can now run around the center of the phenonon. You can even try to enter it, but just like everyone else, you will simply appear on the other side. Anyway, please make sure to contact us if you find a way into the city or any clue regarding the source of this phenonon."
Rean nodded before walking out of the building. Whoever that Flintstone was, he didn't have much interest. 'Alright, Emaniora, this is your ti to show what you can do. Our objective is to get into the city, and you seem to know sothing. Show us we weren't wrong for bringing you here.'
Emaniora nodded. 'That's my intention. If nothing changed, the place where we found our crystals should be in this direction.'
Finally, Emaniora decided to take flight so everyone could follow her. The White Fog in this area was even thicker, and the twins' group couldn't see more than a few ters ahead of them. As for Divine Senses, they simply didn't even leave their bodies. That's why there were only Space-Ti experts using Divine Senses on the outskirts since it was useless inside.
Yet, just as they began to fly, a man wearing bright yellow robes ca out of the building, stopping in front of their group. "Wait right there!"
He wasn't the only one. Quite a few more appeared, surrounding the twins' group. "Who is this guy called Fred?" The man leading the group asked. The guy was fat, truly fat. In fact, most of the people who surrounded Rean's group were all way above the average weight for their size. They wore weird feather crows, and the man leading the group had the biggest crow of them all. Calling them weird was an understatent.
Rean stepped forward, raising his hand while trying to ignore that group's sense of fashion. "That would be . We already got our assignnts, so why stop us?"
"So it is you," the man narrowed his eyes. Then, he waved his hand, and Spatial Power gathered around Rean, pulling him to the man's front. "You are the one using my Clan's na for your benefit, uh? That's quite bold."
"Eh?" Rean could have fought back that Spatial Pull, but that also told him that the man in front of him was in the Peak Stage of the Space-Ti Realm. Rean refrained from irritating him. "I don't know what you are talking about. My na is truly Fred Flintstone. Or are you saying I sohow faked my identity? Is such a thing even possible?"
"I'm not saying your na is fake, idiot," the man spoke. "What I'm saying is that you were lucky to have the sa surna as my clan, and you took advantage of it."
"I didn't even know you existed before I got into the airship that brought us to this place!" Rean countered. "Also, I got my slot fair and square. I'm a Golden Level Formations Master, and I'm registered in the Formations Guild. They arranged a slot for after seeing my accomplishnts."
"Yes, I checked that already," the man continued. "However, even with that position of yours, it doesn't explain how you managed to get to investigate the center of the phenonon, at least not without pretending to be part of my clan. A group of your level should have been left at the outskirts."
"That's exactly what was going to happen," Rean agreed with him. "However, I made a deal with senior Sami, and he arranged for us to co here. I did not use my na since I didn't even know it had any kind of weight. It was due to that deal that we are here now."
"A deal...?" the man narrowed his eyes. "And by Sami, you an Sami Nalatou?"
"That I'm not sure," Rean shook his head. "I just know that senior's na was Sami. However, he was the one to use his airship to bring us here."
"Then it is definitely Sami Nalatou. That was his job for the next three days, so there is no mistake," the man confird. "Alright, if you are not lying, we can confirm it right now. I'm going to call Sami, and you better hope he confirms your story."
Rean crossed his arms, confidence printed on his face. "Sure! Go ahead. I would call him myself if I at least knew his number. I doubt a senior of his level would share his na with a Void Tempering Realm cultivator like , though."
"Hmph! Let's see if your confidence will hold," the man spoke and then closed his eyes. He was obviously using his VS device attached to his brain. Yet, soon after, his expression changed, and when he opened his eyes again, it was as weird as his appearance. "You... helped him solve the seven-phased rune issue?"
"Why do you all make it such a big deal?" Rean asked back. "It was just a small problem with the conduit between the second and eighth layer during the different phases. Anyway, yes, I helped him solve that problem. Can we go now?"
The man felt even more surprised to hear it from Rean's mouth. No doubt Rean was the sa person Sami ntioned. "This must be fate..."
He looked at his clan mbers, nodding at them. "Let them go. What this boy said was the truth."
Finally, he turned his attention back to Rean. "Boy... have you heard about the mist library?"
The mont he said those words, Emaniora's heart skipped a beat.
