Not even Xesht expected soone else to have bookmarks in there. He knew about the Flintstone Clan, but that was because of the information he got from his Qediya Royal Family records. There was no ntion of the others. Until a mont ago, he didn't even know there were more than two bookmarks. Of course, he considered that possibility in the past, but only today it was confird.
The various groups opened the way, getting far from the three groups with their bookmarks. At first, these groups were very inconspicuous. No one paid much attention to them, thinking they were just another bunch that ca for the rewards. Well, they weren't wrong. Everyone ca for the rewards, but these three groups obviously knew a lot more than the rest, just like Xesht and Herbert.
"Samalia..." Xesht narrowed his eyes as he looked at a woman with the yellow bookmark. "Sigh... Herbert just had to cause trouble. And here I thought I could simply get the benefits while you bunch did all the work..." Samalia spoke, bringing out her bookmark.
Xesht's eyes didn't stop on her, though. He also recognized another one, the guy with the purple bookmark. "And Zantie as well. So, your continents ended up sneaking into my Qediya Continent Territory, uh?"
Zantie bitterly smiled, scratching the back of his head. "Well, if my friends and I had shown our presence, you would definitely find a way to get rid of us, wouldn't you?"
"Hmph!" Xesht didn't deny that. Too bad it was impossible now.
Last but not least, Xesht's eyes stopped on a young man and his group, the ones holding the green bookmark. "And who the hell are you?" That one, Xesht couldn't recognize.
The young man smiled, bowing in Xesht and the other bookmark owners' directions. "Nice to et you all. My na is Kalamdra Triorun. I'm with the Inquisition Hall."
"Inquisition Hall..." Xesht narrowed his eyes. "Why would the Inquisition Hall be here? We did not request for your intervention."
"Co on, co on..." Kalamdra didn't mind. "We also like to look for our own opportunities, you know? Besides, we have one of the bookmarks, so we are kind of allowed to be here as well. Or could it be you would like to try to force my group out?"
Xesht and the others definitely wanted to do that. However, they are all Peak Space-Ti Realm cultivators. At that level, they already know what the Inquisition Hall is for real in the Divine Realm, so they couldn't really do such a thing. "I won't do that, but isn't your Inquisition Hall's rule to never, ever intervene with the powers of the Divine Snow World unless asked for? You are interjecting with sothing not related to you."
"You are right," Kalamdra didn't deny that. "It's just that the Mist Library is also important to us. Well, not to the Inquisition Hall as a whole, but to , to be more specific. That's why I'm going to proclaim right here and right now."
Following that, Kalamdra brought a badge out, raising it high before speaking. "I, Kalamdra Triorun, give up all my authority as a mber of the Inquisition Hall during the duration of this Mist Library event, and this is also valid to my group of friends here. Make it known that whatever happens to and or anyone from my group, the Inquisition Hall will take no action in response, regardless of the reasons."
As if by order, everyone around closed their eyes for a mont... except Rean and Roan's group. They didn't need to. That's because as soon as Kalamdra said that, everyone received the sa ssage in their VS Devices attached to their brains. An official confirmation, one that can only be done with that badge in Kalamdra's hands, that he is temporarily removed as an Inquisition Hall mber."
The twins' group also received that ssage, although they used their CDs to sneakily take a look at what it was all about. No one knows they don't have VS Devices attached to their brains, after all.
Xesht then opened his eyes, having received the confirmation. "That's quite a bold move. What stops us from simply getting rid of you here now? With this proclamation, we could kill all of you, and the Inquisition Hall wouldn't lift a single finger."
Kalamdra put his badge away, seemingly calm as ever. "Well, you can definitely give it a try. I just want to see who is willing to risk their lives to take us down and potentially get on the back foot when the exploration of the Mist Library begins. My group might not be able to win against all of you together, but I'm pretty sure we can seriously injure and kill quite a few of you before dying."
"Enough with that," Herbert intervened. "We are wasting ti since we all know no one will attack anyone in this place outside the Pyramid. If there is sothing worth fighting for, then that is definitely inside the Mist Library, not here. Of course, if soone feels like they can take care of Kalamdra and his dogs, by all ans, be my guest and give it a try."
The area was silent, and even Xesht wouldn't be bold enough to say that he could do it on his own. He was confident his group wasn't any weaker than Kalandras, but that was about it. Fighting now would only give Herbert and the other two a start advantage. "Hmph! So be it. Just don't expect to hold back if the need arises."
"I wouldn't dare ask for such a thing," Kalamdra sat back on his Flying Demon Beast, smiling at everyone around.
Xesht took a deep breath, turning back in the Pyramid's direction. "So, how about we open this thing? As far as I'm aware, a single Bookmark should be enough. However, I'm not willing to spend my own alone. Shall we do this together?"
Samalia, Zantie, and Kalamdra approached Xesht and Herbert. They seed to already know about this procedure as well. "Sure. Otherwise, we will not leave this place until next year."
