Finally, the barrier was completely gone, and everyone rushed inside.
"Let’s go, Zan... err... Elr! Yes, Elr! Let’s get inside and try to make it to the sect faster than everyone in our realm!" Ridia quickly ran to the forest as well.
Zangeshu sighed, walking leisurely. "There is no need to hurry. The test rules only state that you have to make it to the sect, not the speed. Let’s take our ti."
Ridia turned around, her face angry. She imdiately grabbed Zangeshu’s hand, pushing him with her against his wishes. Soon, the two entered the forest.
*Zush, zush, zush, zush, zush...*
Rean, Rifindio, Kentucky, and Roan watched as those two disappeared. Not only them. Literally, everyone who entered the forest disappeared without a trace, being teleported away instantly. Well, the twins’ group definitely wasn’t in a hurry.
The majority of those who were waiting earlier entered the forest as fast as Ridia did with Zangeshu. Perhaps they think there will be so prize for those who get to the sect first. Or perhaps there is a ti limit, even though there wasn’t any statent regarding this first test. All that was said was that the recruitnt would last three months, that was all. For the twins, that was way more than enough.
"Shall we then?" Roan walked forward, with Rean and the other two following by his side.
Those four stepped into the forest as well, which quickly caused the spatial powers of that area to gather around them. With a flash of silver light, they also disappeared, being teleported to a different side of that forest.
Let’s not forget that the forest’s size was kept intact by the sect, so it would have the sa range on all sides around the sect itself and never get bigger. That said, Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Rifindio appeared 250,000 kiloters away from the Divine Snow Mountain, near another border side.
All around, more cultivators, demon beasts, spirits, and so other races kept appearing, many of which the twins’ group hadn’t seen outside the city. No doubt they registered themselves in the various other cities surrounding the forest. All of them were in the Void Tempering Realm, although their stages varied.
"Alright, hop on!" Kentucky changed back into his bird form, although it was different due to Rean’s Body Transformation technique. "We can simply fly straight to the sect."
"Err... Master," Rifindio spoke with an awkward tone. "Where are Rick and Morty?"
"Hum?" Kentucky looked back, and sure enough, neither Rean nor Roan could be seen there. "They were sent sowhere else? Could it be we are being separated by race?"
"That’s not possible," Rifindio pointed around. "There are plenty of humanoids, demon beasts, and spirits appearing in this area."
Kentucky pondered a bit, contacting Sister Orb in the Dinsional Realm. Now that he also had access to the upgraded Celestial Soul System, he didn’t need to use the twins for that. Sister Orb then made the connection to the twins, who were sowhere else. ’I can feel your presence through our connection. You are quite far away from ...’
The twins obviously noticed that Kentucky and Rifindio disappeared too.
’Most likely, the sect’s formations can detect if we are traveling in groups, so it sends us to other places to test our strength more individually or in duos. Roan and I are together here as well... which ans I draw the short straw,’ Rean spoke.
Roan glanced at him. ’I could say the sa. Anyway, from what I can feel through our connection, you are on the opposite side of the forest, so there is no point trying to et on the way. Now, is Rifindio with you?’
’Yes,’ Kentucky nodded. ’Shall we et in the sect then?’
’Indeed,’ Roan confird. ’The idiot and I will make our way there as well. If anything happens, just enter the dinsional realm. That’s all.’
’Gotcha!’ Kentucky didn’t see any problems with that.
"Golbat, let’s go! We can simply fly there. Rick and Morty are on the other side of the forest, so we will see them again at the sect," Kentucky spoke, already taking flight.
Rifindio then changed into his Camazotz Bat form... which was actually blue now. That was the last change he got from Roan’s pills and Rean’s ability. He looked quite weird. He couldn’t help but think about it. ’Sigh... even though my powers are not restricted, to change a Camazotz Bat form in such a way would definitely be seen as an action punishable by death in the Supre Palace.’ Regardless, Rifindio just shook his head and followed Kentucky.
Back on the twins’ side, they also took flight and began to fly in the Divine Snow Mountain’s direction.
*Roar!*
Not far from them, a giant lizard, mounted by a cultivator with a spear, ca out of concealnt before attacking a Spirit nearby. The Spirit didn’t even have the chance to dodge as the Lizard and the cultivator were too fast. Its core was pierced through, and the spirit’s energy dissipated with its soul. The spirit, who had co to try to pass the test and join the sect, was killed as soon as the test started.
"That’s surprising," Rean said and closed his eyes. He was using his Natural Spatial Perception to feel the surrounding area. Yet, everywhere he looked, there was only darkness.
Any expert in the Void Tempering Realm and above appears as a black hole inside anyone else’s Natural Spatial Perception. However, since everything was already dark in Rean’s perception, it would be impossible to tell if such experts were nearby. That’s what that Lizard and Cultivator used to take the Spirit by surprise.
Roan noticed the sa thing. "The sect truly doesn’t have any intention of taking it easy. You never know where soone from the sect’s forces can appear."
*Grab!*
Yet, as soon as Roan finished his words, his hand moved like lightning! Surprisingly, his hand landed right on the neck of a cultivator that was completely invisible a second ago. The guy struggled, but sohow, Roan’s strength, which seed to be at a lower stage than himself, far surpassed his own.
*Bang!*
Roan then kicked that cultivator, who shot down like a teor, slamming on the ground and opening a small crater around him. He broke many bones, and his consciousness went black instantly. That cultivator wasn’t at any risk, though. The injuries Roan caused would put him out of combat for a while, but he definitely wouldn’t die or have any lasting effect... it just hurt... a lot... Well, maybe he would have so ntal trauma regarding Roan as well...
Rean faintly smiled and shrugged. "Too bad that their orders are to kill the participants."
Indeed... As long as the sect’s forces ca at the twins with the intention to kill, they would never escape Rean and Roan’s detection. The Red Color of Killing Intent was way too obvious to miss!
