Grititi’s mind worked nonstop, but he couldn’t see any other way out of it. The fact he hadn’t died for failing to keep the secret was already more than what he expected. In the end, he relented. "Alright, but there is a problem. As you said, the seal has two layers, one internal and one external. Your subordinate here managed to stop the external one from activating."
"However," he didn’t stop there, "if I start to speak about this, it will be the internal seal that will burst my head and destroy my soul. So, unless you have a way to stop the internal seal from working as well, I can’t tell you anything."
Rean looked at Royer, sending him a Divine Sense ssage. Hearing that, Royer nodded and spoke to Grititi again. "It is not impossible to stop the internal seal. But for that, you will have to open your soul to us. As you already know, that will make you completely vulnerable to whatever we want to do with it. We can even make you our slave if we feel like it. Well, your situation right now isn’t much different anyway."
One of the main reasons that reading mories from souls damaged them was the fact the owners would never let it be done willingly, even in an unconscious state. The risks of what others can do to your soul are just as big or maybe even bigger than if it is invaded by force. Reading recent mories was the most one could do without any lasting damage. You won’t be able to hide your deepest secrets, and the one accessing it might still decide to simply kill you in the end. To make things worse, if the ones trying to access the soul didn’t know what they were doing, the chances of damage could be even higher.
"You have ten seconds to decide," Royer didn’t give Grititi a lot of ti to choose. The Red Smoke was approaching, and if they took too long, they might be caught by it, or the portal above might close.
Grititi sighed, knowing that the other choice was simply to be left in this place to die. His cultivation was completely sealed, after all. "Go ahead."
He concentrated and willingly opened it. Imdiately after that, Roan, with Rean’s Light Elent support, entered Grititi’s soul. Rean communicated with Roan so he would know where to go and how to avoid any damage. Finally, they kind of made their way around, stopping in front of the internal seal from the other side.
Roan’s Dark Elent acted, and Rean’s Light Elent protected Grititi’s soul. Just like Roan did to the external seal, he made the internal seal stop working and created a connection with himself. Roan wouldn’t try to destroy that seal as he might trigger it by mistake. That was sothing made by the Universe Owner, after all.
"It’s done," Roan spoke to Royer.
Royer smiled, looking at Grititi. "Alright, we managed to stop the internal seal as well. Now, make things fast. Use your Divine Sense to explain everything you know about the reason why everyone in F956 can be used as nourishnt for the Camazotz Bats. Also, how to get rid of this problem."
Grititi wasn’t sure if whatever Roan did really worked, but he bet on it. He could feel a tiny bit of Divine Energy being allowed to co out of his Core, just enough for him to send a Divine Sense ssage, but nothing else.
"This..." Soon, Royer, Rifindio, and Elsie’s eyes narrowed.
This was sothing directly linked to the underworld.
The twins had long since found out that Reincarnation is impossible in this Universe. One couldn’t save their mories when they entered the reincarnation path. Turns out this ability of the Camazotz Bats was the reason behind it.
Triaglia, countless eons ago, had just beco the Universe Owner. However, she was new, and she didn’t want anyone to try to take that position from her. Thus, she ssed up with the reincarnation path. With the help of the Werdlem Empire, the reincarnation path was modified by using so of Triaglia’s blood and soul.
Since then, when a new soul was created in Universe F956, it carried a tiny bit of Triaglia’s Camazotz Bat essence. It was almost imperceptible. One wouldn’t detect it even if they used the most advanced circuitry devices. Nonetheless, it was there, and it didn’t matter what kind of race you ca from. The only ones free of this essence were those who were already alive back then, which weren’t many now, and those who ca from outside. Not even the Camazotz Bats themselves were spared of this trait.
Still, this tiny bit of essence could be used by Camazotz Bats in their favor as long as they had a bloodline connection with Triaglia. But for that, a ritual was necessary, and only a scant few mbers of the Supre Palace were allowed to go through it. Above all, if they wanted to learn about this, they had to receive the seal as well.
With the conclusion of the ritual, those who make it through will be able to contact that tiny bit of essence from Triaglia. They can activate it, which will imdiately take control of all the blood and divine energy of soone’s body.
Truth be told, there wasn’t really a need to make those who are victims of it to explode. If the user has patience, they can rob their targets of their blood and Divine Energy after a few hours. Of course, who would allow such a thing to happen to them? Thus, the fastest and safest approach was to simply cause their bodies, cores, and datians to burst and mix with that essence.
Then, the Camazotz Bats, who activated this ability, could absorb everything directly. It was a good thing that these energies couldn’t be used for cultivation. Otherwise, one could imagine how many would have died due to that already.
A few seconds was enough to get everything back to your body and then use it all for attack, defense, or whatever that Camazotz Bat wished to do.
The next part, however, was what truly left Royer, Rifindio, and Elsie feeling helpless. The part about how to get rid of this essence.
