That was the first ti Hian lost his calm during this exploration, but he couldn’t be blad. Wasn’t this supposed to be the Ocean? Wasn’t his group supposed to gain a huge advantage as they are Demon Fishes? Yet, no such thing happened. Why?
That’s because Rean and everyone in his group were now walking on the surface of the water! No, they weren’t walking, they were running!!!
Hian’s companions looked at him, feeling like crying. "Sh-Should we still try to pursue?"
Hian gritted his teeth. "Yes, let’s go!"
Without another choice, they entered the ocean as well. The difference was that they couldn’t run on its surface. They imdiately sunk into the water. The good thing was that they also took the opportunity to change back into their real forms and began to swim while following the twins’ group. If anything, their burden eased a little, even with the high gravity in place.
Why was Rean and his group able to run on the surface of the Ocean while the Bettas sank imdiately?
The answer to that question was very simple. This is still the sa region, contrary to what Hian’s group thought earlier. How do you know this is the sa region? Because ti was still slowed down to a crawl, that’s why!
Of course, nothing impeded the next region to also have its ti slowed down. If that was the case, then the twins’ group might really have just entered a new region. However, it was very unlikely for the sa challenge to be posed twice in a roll, or so Royer told them. Besides, Roan checked his dallion, and no new instructions were given.
The explanation as to why the twins’ group could run on the surface was actually pretty obvious, too. Since ti this is the sa region, and ti is slowed down, then the water on the surface of the ocean was also in the sa state.
Let’s not forget when Kentucky attacked the Self-Defense Globe before. His attack showed no result at first, but that’s just because ti wasn’t running normally back there. As soon as he used his Light Elent to make ti run normally in the area where he attacked, the globe instantly broke.
It’s the sa principle here. It wasn’t that the twins’ group wasn’t sinking into the ocean at every step. They were, but the results of their steps over the water were happening so slowly that they couldn’t feel any difference between solid ground and ocean water at the mont.
However, that was only possible for soone with fine control over Light Elent like Rean. There were bound to be so Light Elent Affinity experts that could do the sa, but at the mont, in this place, only Rean had that ability... and Kentucky, almost to the sa extent.
Rean was controlling his Light Elent perfectly and the only things that moved in this ti ssed up place were everyone’s bodies and their clothes and sort. There wasn’t even a milliter escaping out of them. Thanks to that, the water below their feet never went back to the normal flow of ti, and it acted as solid ground.
The Purple Sponge Bettas had absolutely no chance of achieving what Rean did, though. They could gather Yang Energy and use it to gather Light Elent. By taking turns, they could keep a small field of Light Elent running around them, escaping the confinents of slowed-down ti.
Too bad that’s as much as they could do. Fine control so light elents couldn’t leave their bodies? That was a wishful thinking to them. None of them had Light Elent Affinity. They were all water. Thus, they could make the ti in that small field run normally, but that also ant the water under them did the sa. Naturally, they sunk into it. The only upside of this issue was that they were indeed able to move more easily in the water than on the surface, so it was not all that bad.
Rifindio looked back, seeing that Bettas swimming under water while staying close to them. "They sure are tenacious..."
"Keep an eye on them," Roan warned. "This is their environnt, after all. I don’t think they will do any anything, though."
He was right. Hian’s group truly didn’t attempt anything while they followed closely behind. Well, trying sothing wouldn’t be a good idea either. They are sure to move more easily underwater, but the twins’ group was still moving fast, so they were kept in their constant state of tiredness. If anything, they were just hoping the twins’ group wouldn’t turn on them.
"Hum?" Three and a half days went by, and the twins’ group noticed sothing ahead. "Is that a boat?"
Not far from them, a relatively big boat, enough to fit a few tens of people with ease, could be seen. From the looks of it, this ocean was very different from the lake, as it even allowed boats to float without issue.
Kentucky took to the skies and checked inside the boat. There were around twenty experts, all of them working together to row the boat forward. Kentucky also saw the light on their chests, black lights, which showed they were all experts from Universe F955.
Since Kentucky saw then, so did they see Kentucky. They stopped rowing the boat, and they got up, watching Kentucky in the air. Just like the Bettas, they, too, couldn’t control Light Elent well enough to allow them to walk over the water.
"Who goes there?!" A man with a few green scaled over his body spoke, a demon beast in humanoid form.
The twins’ group didn’t approach. Instead, Rean just shouted from the distance. "Don’t mind us. We are just passing by. Have a nice day!"
Only then did they notice the twins’ group walking on the surface of the water since they were paying attention to Kentucky in the air earlier. "This... How can you do that?"
Rean shrugged. "Anyone good enough with Light Elent can do this. In any case, we bid you farewell. Don’t give up!"
What was that? Emotional support? The experts in the boat wondered if Rean was actually mocking them. Still, the scaled man spoke out. "Wait! Can you give us a hand? We know where to go!"
Then, the twins’ group stopped... for a second. "Good for you!"
And they left.
