It was as they predicted. The bubbles increased in amount, but the twins’ group used Kentucky’s wings to keep blowing them away. Soon, they reached the border of the next region, the environnt changing completely.
They noticed their hunger, thirst, and everything else disappeared as if they had never been there to start with.
*Tud!*
They threw Grititi’s body on the ground like a pile of trash. There was also the core of the Spirit they captured earlier, Ginpel. Finally, Rean drove his Light Elent into their body and core, making those two wake up a few seconds later.
"Ah!" Ginpel imdiately flashed away as sparks of lightning left a trace of blue light. "What were you doing to ?!"
"Well, what would it be?" Royer comnted with disdain on his face. "Seems like so idiot rushed ahead, afraid of being conquered by his thirst for Lightning Elent. Yet, in the end, he was overco by it and was completely out of his mind. We were forced to knock that idiot out and drag his core out of that region. Does this ring a bell in your mind?"
Ginpel’s mories of the previous events began to resurface, and he saw himself attacking many balls of Lightning Elent nonstop, draining their Lightlent Elent. Yet, he was never satisfied. Those balls of Lightning Elent obviously had no Lightning whatsoever, but he just couldn’t stop himself.
*Ouch...*
Grititi held his head with one of his wings. He, too, lost control and was suddenly bombarded by an attack that hit his soul with great impact. Normally, he would never leave his soul in such a vulnerable state that it could be attacked in such a manner. Yet, he wasn’t thinking about anything else anymore. All he cared about was killing Ginpel so Ginpel wouldn’t stop him from acquiring the balls of blood that floated everywhere. Of course, he now knew there was no such thing as floating bloodballs. "So you ended up saving for real..."
Royer snorted. "I told you. Knocking you unconscious was way too easy. I won’t lie. You are just weak."
Grititi bitterly smiled. Could it be it was really the case? He was even doubting himself now.
Ginpel cald down, but he still had his guard high. "Why would you risk your lives to save ? What did you intend to do?"
"Risk our lives? Hahahaha!" Royer laughed out loud. "If there was really a risk of losing my or my disciples’ lives, do you think I would have helped you? Dream on! You were just too weak as well but for another reason. You had already used most of your Divine Energy while attacking those bubbles. Knocking you unconscious was so easy that I could do that while sleeping."
He continued. "As for why we helped you, it is very simple. You were also in the Golden Palace before. Naturally, you have knowledge about this place. You would be way more useful alive than dead. It’s that simple."
"You could have taken the opportunity, and while I was unconscious, you could have forcefully read all my mories," Ginpel comnted, still skeptical.
*Ew...* Royer showed an expression of disgust. "As an Earth Affinity Spirit myself, I would never want to touch a Lightning Spirit’s soul. Get away from ; shoo, shoo!"
It is no secret that Lightning and Earth Elents simply don’t get along. Earth was especially good at countering Lightning. When it ca to Spirits with each of those Elental Affinities, they indeed rarely interacted as both sides didn’t feel good near each other.
Well... Royer didn’t need to make such a disgusted expression. "Are you trying to buy a fight?" Ginpel obviously grew angry.
Royer, however, didn’t seem to care. "Oh-ho! So you want to fight , the very guy who saved your life? As expected of Lightning Affinity Spirits, always so full of themselves and never know how to be grateful."
Rean asked Elsie through a Divine Sense ssage. ’Do these two have so feud or sothing?’
Elsie shook her head. ’They definitely had never t each other. It’s just that Spirits of opposite elents don’t get along to start with. Well, my master always had a big mouth, so it doesn’t help either.’
Ginpel was fuming, but he couldn’t deny he was indeed saved by Royer just now. "Fine! I also wouldn’t want to live anymore if a shit Spirit with Earth Elent affinity touched my soul. As for saving just now, I am grateful, so thank you. Just don’t expect to give up the chance of a Celestial Realm breakthrough just because of that."
Royer nodded with a satisfied expression. "That’s more like it."
Then, he turned to the twins. ’Is this good enough?’
Neither Grititi nor Ginpel were in their right minds at that ti. So, for all intents and purposes, it was Royer who had made a move to knock them out and dragged them here.
Roan had no complaints. ’That’s good enough.’
Ginpel looked around, noticing that many giant roots spread, coming out of the ground and creating various bridges as far as he could see. "I don’t rember having been to this region before."
Royer agreed with him. "I haven’t been to this one either." Then, he pointed behind. "But we are just at the border with the previous region. We said we would wait four days, didn’t we? Let’s wait and see if so of our group mbers co out."
"How long has it been since I left our group?" Ginpel wasn’t sure.
"Almost two days," Rean was the one to answer. "So, we have another two days ahead."
Ginpel pondered a bit if he should just continue on his own. However, he gave up that idea in the end and just waited. They waited another two days, and sure enough, a few experts from their original group managed to co out, but only seven of them.
Xonhei, Cafantrie, and Werkel were part of those seven. They didn’t seem very happy, though. Their group lost over half of their mbers in that region.
"Don’t think about it. Let’s just keep going," Royer comnted, and they nodded. Soon, they selected one of the roots and made their way into the new region.
