The ’egg’ floated down, right in the middle of the survivors. Many still had their doubts since it felt like everything that had happened before had no aning. Of course, pretty much no one other than the twins’ group would complain. This was one extra chance for them, so why would they?
Imdiately, a few of the experts pounced forward, trying to grab the egg. Victor said that no fight was allowed, but he said nothing of taking the egg for oneself. That was a good thing. They could take the egg, and no one would be able to fight them for it. They would have their sweet ti trying to absorb while the others just watched.
*Bzzz!*
Yet, as soon as the foremost experts got within a few ters of the egg, a multicolored light appeared. It lashed out like arcs of lightning and fire, hitting those experts head-on. It was too fast, too strong. In a split second, sixteen experts beca history. Their bodies and souls were obliterated.
The others who were running after the egg instantly jumped back, fear written on their faces. Had they been closer to the egg, they would have been there instead of those who just died.
The kid laughed above. "Hahaha! I just said you had to be accepted to it, and you tried to take it away? What a bunch of idiots. Next ti, use your heads."
Rifindio couldn’t help but raise his hand. "What about the marks I acquired? Do they have any use now?"
The kid looked at him. "Don’t worry, the marks have their uses. You will find out in ti, but not now. Keep them with you."
The twins looked at each other. If Rifindio doesn’t acquire the egg, what could the marks be good for? He wouldn’t be a Universe Owner in the end, after all. Still, it wasn’t ti to think about that. "Let’s approach the egg and take a look."
Roan lifted from the ground, flying past the experts. One thing that happened after the egg appeared was that the gravity ca back to normal, and flight beca available. Several others were also in the air now, checking the egg up close, but none of them approached too much. They were actually ready to fly away from there if the egg showed as much as a spark now.
Rean and the others followed, and they also used their Divine Senses, which were also available again, to check the egg. Too bad Divine Sense wasn’t of much use. It couldn’t penetrate the egg. Soul Power Scan didn’t work either.
"What do you think could attract its attention?" Rifindio asked.
"Maybe laws?" Kentucky considered.
"That can’t be," Celis didn’t think so, though. "He brought this egg and cancelled the results of the previous test because it wasn’t fair, wasn’t it? Rifindio obviously can’t use laws, so it would be unfair to him, the guy who managed to acquire the eight marks. It must be sothing else."
Rean tried his Light Laws regardless, but the egg showed absolute no reaction. "Well, I tried the laws, and it didn’t work anyway. Celis is most likely right."
The twins’ group wasn’t the only one wondering the sa thing. Everyone was trying everything they could think of. Elents, Laws, Intent, Bloodline, you na it. Yet, the egg remained silent.
Roan pondered it, especially regarding the mont the experts were killed earlier. He switched to Divine Sense ssage from there. ’The multicolored light that killed the guys earlier. It seed to be a mix of all elents.’
Roan wasn’t the only one to notice that. But then again, was there anyone who could use all the elents? The answer was yes... everyone! Let’s not forget, even if you don’t have a certain elental affinity, it doesn’t an you can’t use it. You just won’t be anywhere as good as an expert with that affinity.
With that said, Roan and a few others tried to control all the elents at once, sending them in the egg’s direction. But once again, they were t with failure. The egg continued to show no reaction.
Fishel was also nearby. He got this extra chance, but he was confused. ’Universe Root Egg...’
Futsuka and Gara too. ’Maybe all laws?’
The Camazotz Bats, the Romuteri Clan, the Dread Ship Sect, everyone was there, and soon, the experts began to exchange ideas. It was better than being stuck in there.
Roan shook his head in the end. ’This is a waste of ti. We might as well ask the professional. Sister Orb, what is this thing?’
Indeed! Sister Orb was a Universe Sentience! Since this thing was called Universe Root Egg, she sure knew sothing, right?

’Recognize it?’ The twins’ group got puzzled. They don’t rember having seen an egg like that before.

[The one and the sa,] Sister Orb confird. [Back then, that was the thing I gave Soul Gem, the Universe Root Egg. I didn’t know it had this na, though. Anyway, he built the system into it.]
’But the Control Orb was supposed to be the Universe’s Contingency Plan for the Extinction Sphere, wasn’t it?’ Rean got puzzled. (Chapter 2049-2050)

Roan’s expression turned dark. ’As if one Sister Orb wasn’t already enough...’
