The arena’s protection formation ca down, and Donfug and Lando quickly entered to check on Rean and Trian. They were quite beaten up, but after checking, there weren’t any serious injuries. With the right pills and proper rest, they would be back on their feet in a day or two at most.
Well, Rean’s ’injuries’ were caused by himself by manipulating his energies. Trian couldn’t possibly hope to hurt Rean with his cultivation. Rean had a Celestial Bloodline, after all.
Rean slowly got up and then walked in Trian’s direction. Donfug wanted to stop him, but Rean assured him. "Don’t worry, Senior Donfug. I’m not going to cause trouble."
Trian also got up while refusing to accept Lando’s help. He felt absolutely terrible at the mont. The fight ended in a draw, but Rean was an entire Realm below him! How could that have ended in a draw? When he saw Rean coming, he gritted his teeth. "What? Do you want to mock ?"
Rean shook in response. Yet, before he could speak...
*Cough, cough, cough...*
He coughed several mouthfuls of blood... all still a pretense that no one could see through. Rean made it look like he actually got the worst of the outcos.
"Rean!" Donfug arrived by his side in an instant, holding Rean before he fell to the ground.
Still, Rean forced a smile. "I... was wrong. I called you a chicken, and that was wrong. You are strong. I’m... I’m sorry."
For a mont, Trian wondered if Rean was being sarcastic. "What is that? Strong? I’m obviously not strong enough! All I achieved was a simple draw, and my cultivation is much higher!"
Rean corrected him. "The only reason it was a draw was because you beca impatient and didn’t use your advantage. You underestimated because you were a realm higher. Had you properly taken advantage of your higher reserves of Divine Energy, I would have eventually been taken down. I’m not kidding, you are strong!"
Donfug and Lando nodded at the sa ti. They obviously saw the sa thing as Rean. Still, it was quite impressive that this ten-year-old kid understood this problem as well. Of course, Rean wasn’t ten years old...
Trian looked back at Lando, who sent him a Divine Sense ssage. ’He is right. Young Master, because of the kind of training you received, you are stronger than the vast majority of cultivators at your age and level. But that clouded your sight, and the more Rean fought back, the more impatient you got. Young Master, you are strong, and I’m certain you are stronger than this kid called Rean. However, you must understand that just because you are stronger than most, that doesn’t an you are invincible. This kid just proved it today.’
Trian took a deep breath and straightened himself. "I understand. I brought this result upon myself. Your na is Rean, right? What do you want?"
"I want?" Rean had a puzzled expression on his face. "I just wanted to show you I’m strong. Hahah- *ouch...* laughing makes my body hurt. Did I ask sothing before we fought? I don’t rember."
Right! That fight had nothing to do with requests. It’s just that Trian was accustod to being asked for many things due to his position as the City Lord’s fourth child. People tried to take advantage of his position due to his age quite often, too. Here, however, Donfug and Rean don’t even know who he is!
"Ahem..." Trian rectified himself. "I an, that was a good fight, and you helped see through many of my shortcomings."
"You, too, big brother!" Rean quickly spoke back. "You can use two elents! That’s aweso!"
"Bi...Big brother?" Trian was taken aback. Both of them seem to be around the sa age, so why Big Brother? Still, those words did sound quite pleasing in his ears. He was the youngest child in his family, so he was always the one calling his siblings big brother and sister. "O-Of course! I am aweso! It’s good that you can see that. Alright, then I shall accept you as my younger brother!"
It was the first ti since Rean started to talk to Trian that he sounded like a proper child. Due to his education, it was as if Rean had been talking to an adult all along.
"Okay, it is good you two are now on good terms," Donfug said while he lifted Rean with his Divine Energy. "But now, we need to go back to heal your injuries, Rean."
"Sa for us," Lando was happy Donfug spoke first. "Shall we leave?"
Trian nodded, but before he left, Rean spoke again. "Big Brother, you would be an amazing partner for training! Where can we et again? No one at my age can fight like you do back in my ho."
Trian stopped for a mont as so of Rean’s Soul Power reached him. "Now that you said it... even I have trouble finding people who can give a proper challenge at my age."
For Trian, only disciples of other big powers around the city had that capability, but arranging a eting with them was pretty complicated.
Lando felt helpless. ’Young Master, we can’t let others know your identity.’
’Let correct you,’ Trian looked at him. ’We can’t let others know my identity while we are out alone. That shouldn’t be a problem back at ho, right?’
At that mont, Donfug ca forward to talk to Lando. "Sorry for all the trouble my Rean caused you, friend. Your na is Lando, right? Here, I’ll pass you my information. If it is not a problem for these two kids to et again, co to my store in the Slave Market District. You are welco there."
Finally, Donfug turned around and began to carry Rean away.
"Eh?! Are we going back already?" Rean still complained like a kid.
"Shut up!" But this ti, Donfug didn’t relent. "Look at you, all beaten up! Let’s go back. We can co back another day."
Donfug also realized sothing. ’Hum? Shit! In the end, I didn’t accomplish any of the tasks I set out to do outside today! I must exercise so restraint with Rean next ti.’
As the two walked away, Rean shouted back. "Big Brother, that’s a promise, you hear ? Let’s et another ti! I want to fight Big Brother again!"
Trian smiled. "I will think about that."
Lando looked at the information and checked it through the werdlem network. Surprisingly, Donfug was truly just a Slave Trader. He couldn’t help but think to himself. ’I see... he probably got this kid while he was out looking for slaves to sell. That was quite so luck to find such a talented child.’
Trian cared about none of that. He only cared about knowing more about that little brother of his now.
Three days later, an invitation arrived in Donfug’s store. It was an invitation to go to the City Lord’s Palace!
