The five minutes allotted to the countries had finally co to an end, and the field was sward by the various others who wanted to speak with the twins’ group. Divine Sense ssages arrived from every corner, everyone offering the twins’ group countless benefits if they decided to change their minds and join one of those countries.
However, everyone in the twins’ group refused all the offers flatly. They had no intention of staying on anyone’s side, which was pretty much unprecedented.
You must understand that with the thin balance between the countries, having the most dazzling geniuses also worked in one’s favor. It was especially so when it ca to negotiations. Thus, how could they not give it a try to get at least one of the twins’ group’s mbers?
Now, what was the reason for the twins’ group to remain neutral?
Rean wasn’t lying when Donafela ca to talk to his group earlier. He indeed didn’t want to join anyone else and intended to stay on the Galantes Country’s side. But hearing that they couldn’t stay more than a year and would be forced to choose soone else didn’t sit well with them. Thus, why wait? Might as well just leave now, and instead of joining soone else, stay neutral.
Then there were the risks that accompanied such a decision. Since the twins’ group turned out to be Golden Prospects, including four of the highest level, the general thought was that there must be so secret behind it.
The Judgental Eye broke. Could it be that it was wrong? But if it wasn’t, then how could so many of them appear at once? Remaining neutral, in fact, gives a chance to all those countries to act in the dark to find out the answer.
While in the academy, no one would really be able to do anything to the twins’ group in the open. However, the Military Exchange Program was all about growing stronger and helping keep the peace all over the continent. The twins’ group would sooner or later travel to other areas for that purpose or similar things.
Normally, when there is such a genius around, the country where he or she ca from would provide the proper protection. If the youngster’s prospects were very high, then that country might make a short-term alliance to help protect that youngster. Even contracting experts from outside the continent were not out of the question.
Everyone knew it. This thin balance would one day collapse. When that day arrives, the country with the strongest forces could potentially beco the dominant power of the continent. That’s what the war of the past was all about, and no one has given up that notion yet.

Later that day, everyone in the twins’ group received a residence to live in, one for each of them. Normally, it would only be a room in one of the enormous dormitories, but a golden prospect had certain privileges that were not attached to resources. A private residence was one of such.
Truth be told, that didn’t matter that much. You can’t join this Military Exchange Program unless you are at least in the Transition Realm. That said, there were plenty of Void Tempering Realm Experts as well. Let’s not forget that Void Tempering was the requirent to build your own Pocket Dinsional Realm. So, having just a room mattered little for those in the Void Tempering and above.
Now, regarding the academy and the exchange program, its goal was set: to reach the Middle Stage of the Space-Bending Realm before the age of 500.
If you managed to do that, you would graduate and would have to leave. It wasn’t that big of a goal when you consider that only the best cultivators of each country could even make it here. Even for those who are considered the slowest in the academy, they could still reach that level before the age of 500, and there were very rare occasions when soone failed.
However, there were also very rare occasions where soone managed to do it before the age of 300 at the very least. It’s not that the best geniuses in this academy couldn’t do it faster, but that they didn’t want to. This academy provided the best environnt for cultivation. It wasn’t a combined effort between all countries in Runia for nothing.
As a result, the cultivators here purposely slowed down to make better use of their ti. Fortifying their foundations, learning about other side occupations, getting experience in battle, experience in politics, learning how to deal with the dark side of the cultivation world, you na it. You could find it all here.
Only those confident they wouldn’t miss any of it would try to get to that level before that age. It wasn’t anything rare to see the students staying here past the age of 400 before they finally reached the Middle Stage of the Space-Bending Realm. Even better, the resources they gained during this ti that they didn’t use, they could bring out with them, so why leave so soon?
So, in this ga of spies, where the countries work to try to keep the peace while actually trying to gather strength, the only certainty is that you couldn’t drop your guard. If you are not with , then you are against , and a good enemy is a dead one.

The twins’ group received various visits, but everyone was turned away. After a few days, they stopped, as those trying to get a jump start understood the twins’ group truly had no intention of joining anyone. As for Wisfreya, since she pledged to stay with Galantes for the first year at least, she wasn’t bothered as much.
A week later, the twins gathered in the center of the academy, in a building called The Mission Console Hall. Different from the other tis when the twins joined so organization, they could not select what kind of mission they would take here. Everyone was assigned specific tasks that had to be completed, and this place was simply so they could check the specific information, which wasn’t available through the Werdlem Network.
Rean and the others entered the hall, thousands of eyes instantly turning in their direction. Who didn’t know them by now? It would probably be like this for quite a while before people got used to it.
"Do you think we will go to the sa place?" Rean asked.
Roan shook his head in response. "Unlikely. A continent is just too big, and there are probably countless missions, tasks, and such going on. Everything we do from here onwards is likely based on the information we provided in the forms before we joined. For example, since you are good with Light Elent and at Healing Techniques, you might be sent to so region that needs those kinds of abilities."
"So of us might stay close to each other, though," Tanxan comnted. "By the way, what are the chances of receiving a visit from so ’new friends’ while out there?"
"Initially, not very high," Roan said after thinking a little bit. "Everyone is likely watching us closely, so the chance to act without being found won’t appear so soon. Everyone is watching us, but also watching each other, after all."
Of course, Roan didn’t count on it. "However, there are always exceptions, so if you have to deal with the ’new friends,’ do it without anyone noticing."
There were countless terminals in there, and they took one each. By using their Academy IDs, the terminals finally showed their first tasks.
"Well, Roan was right," Foliana comnted. "I’ve been assigned to go to a country called Gloff Hure for a Rift Cleanse. I’m reading here that it has sothing to do with corrupted Divine Energy leaking from spatial cracks that are creating so weird monsters. From the looks of it, Lightning Elent cultivators are best at destroying this kind of enemy, and we will need to enter the crack to destroy a core inside to make it stop."
"I’m actually in the sa group as you," Zangeshu said. "But it is only the two of us. Rean and the others are not in the group’s na list."
"You can all take care of yourselves. Just make sure to make a good impression but not reveal too much," Roan said before he took his own assignnt as well.
Finally, they all got their own missions, heading for the Divine Descent Platform, the place where everyone was dispatched during their missions and such.
There, thousands of other students waited for their turn to use the teleport formations on the platforms, most still waiting for their group mbers as well.
Roan looked around, finding the platform he should take, and not too far from it, he saw the group that was going down with him. There were only five cultivators there, six counting with Roan himself. However, as soon as he approached them, his vision changed. The red color of killing intent imdiately covered him.
Even though he saw that, Roan didn’t show it on his face at all. Instead, he was calm, thinking about it. ’I didn’t expect it to be this soon...’
